It's 8 o'clock in the morning on a Monday, so what am I doing up? Oh, just waiting for Dean and Raf to come over in a few hours for an American Buckshot practice in the middle of the afternoon! LOL And if that wasn't bad enough, later on today I have to practice with Aluminum Falcon! ha ha ha Oh how did I ever get myself into this mess? Oh yeah, that's right - contrary to popular belief, I like to help my Friends out when I can, because they're my Friends and would probably do the same for me if I needed help with something like a taco plate or whatever. Notice I used the word 'probably'. ;-) My BFF tells me she worries about me all the time. I don't know if I should console her or kill her. :-/So how was that T.S.O.L. gig on Sat.? ha ha ha From what I heard it was pretty sweet. Nothing better than seeing a big ass band you'd usually pay lots of money to see in an intimate setting for absolutely free! And hearing about the fire extinguisher incident only reminded me of the infamous SIR T.S.O.L. riot in Hollywood many, many moons back. Google it. We had a fun time that night! LOL And I loved reading and hearing people carrying on about finding out about the gig 'on some website'. Fucking tools. You read that on THIS website, you know, the one nobody claims to read yet gets all sorts of hits each and every day! LOL It's OK to admit you read onethirtyeight.org. Seriously. It's better than the other pablum puke you get from other websites here in town supposedly covering the 'Punk' scene or music scene in general... heh heh I'm glad people had fun on Cinco de Mayo. Me? I went to a Moon Viewing party in GV where I think I pissed in a washing machine... ha ha ha ha Oh tequila - how I adore thee! XOXO There was some other stuff I wanted to blabber on about, but I can't really think this early in the morning, so I'm gonna go pour another cup of coffee and prepare myself for the immediate tasks at hand today. 2 band practices a day. WTF was I thinking? ha ha ha It's gonna be a long ass day today. Hope I don't have to use my AK. ;-)
Well, I had some time off, since Aluminum Falcon didn't practice yesterday, so I fucking relaxed and did fuck all. I watched cartoons and listened to Nick And Artie. I cleaned my house. I made tacos and rice. Yeah, this practice thing last week was a bit hectic, to say the least, but I think all the hard work payed off, because every band I was trying out with and jamming with liked me, so yeah, go me! LOL I'm gonna be filling in for Bingo Billy in Guilty By Association for a bit, until his torn ACL heals up and he's able to get back behind the kit. GBA has some big shows coming up, like the D.I. gig for Punk Rock Bowling, the Swingin' Utter$ gig @ the Bunkhouse (I think) and some gig just outside of Denver with The Black Pacific at some skate park or someplace like that, I dunno. I'm just the drummer. Nobody tells me anything, and that's just fine. :-) It's a beautiful day today. I think I'm gonna go hang around outside somewhere. Everything's updated. I just added the photos that Skateboard Bob took of Aluminum Falcon playing at the Motor City Cafe like, months ago, click here to see them, and I don't remember if I even mentioned those Die Laughing pictures I took when they played their going away party. Click here to check those out. I wish I would of gotten more pictures of the band playing, but I didn't charge my camera battery, and it died during the bands set. Booooooooo. Well, hopefully they can get back together, either here or in California, and I'll shoot them up something proper. Get their new CD if you haven't already. That thing is face shredding. The band's Facebook page is right here. :-)
It's all a blur. Can't stay up. Can't eat. Can't drink anymore. It's like 11 in the morning and I got to be at Camel Hump in like 2 hours to go and try to salvage my drum sound on that Aluminum Falcon recording. And after that I got Pigasus practice. Somebody help me... ha ha ha I wish I could write down all the amazing stories and things that happened to me and the things I saw at the Madness gig last night, but I can't. Maybe it will come back to me later, I dunno. What I do know is that I had the most fun I've had in a long, long time. Telling stories, listening to stories being told, sharing drinks, having a laugh, catching up, getting lost, you know, just having fun! :-) Anyways, I'm passing the fuck out. Go see The People's Whiskey tonight at the Bunkhouse. I don't think I'm gonna make that gig... heh
You really and truly reap what you sow. That's why I got nothing but love L-U-V all around me, and that's why others have to hide from the world and try to avoid the harsh words and questions of others and having to explain yourself. Look, just because you've made peace with yourself for your past idiotic drunken druggy actions doesn't mean that everyone else is just supposed to forgive and forget you - oh no. Karma is a mother fucker, or so I've heard, and for what you did, you got loads and loads more bad luck coming to you. Get used to it. :-) Go back to the Rockasilly scene where 2 faced raunch such as yourself thrives and blooms in the bullshit that's prevalent there. Go hide on Google+, stay away from the Drama that is Facebook, or create another Myspace profile like you've been doing as of late. Pathetic. Who the Hell makes a new Myspace profile in this day and age, fer Christ's sake??? LOL Why do people have so many online profiles anyways? I'm assuming it's because they're ashamed of what they are and running away and trying to hide from something they did, or trying to be something that they're not, where nobody knows the real them, but I could be wrong... heh heh. it's not like I haven't seen this exact same behavior before, right? ;-) Good luck with getting healthy and staying away from the bars too. Some people can handle their booze - you can't. Maybe you should consider growing up and taking care of your kids instead of whoring yourself around Viva like you did when you were younger and less responsible. Just a thought? LOL OK, I'm done chastising that cunt publicly. It's like beating up a retard at this point, and she's smart in keeping her profile low and staying away from the public. After all, it's not like I can stand to hear another story from her so-called Friends and Family about what a fuck up she is... ha ha ha Moving on! I will say no more about it or her. Sad to watch but whatever. We all make our own decisions and choices, right? :-) Dude! I fucking slept through going to the recording studio on Monday, as well as the Gwar / Municipal Waste gig that night!! FAWK!! Fucking Heroin is one Hell of a drug! LOL I think I'm giving up on the Aluminum Falcon recording, because it's just turning into a Pennywise record, and my drums sound like shit, despite the input I give, so I'm just gonna let those guys finish it off and be happy about the finished results, no matter how craptacular they are. I'm bummed I missed out on Gwar, and I really wanted Municipal Waste to FUCK ME UP!!, but alas, it was in a proper venue, so I don't know how crazy it could of gotten. I heard it was an amazing gig though from those who went. Damn the hits on the website have been going through the roof as of late. The Cowtown Guitars Grand Re-Opening Party pictures are the most popular page so far this month, with the San Francisco pictures a close second. And I'm always befuddled by what people put into Google to end up here. This Virus Makes Us Human? The Broads Suck? Really? ha ha ha And why have 15 people typed in 'Ashley Sandifer Las Vegas', hmmm? Everything is updated. New Pictures of Internal Corrosion were just posted, and I'll see you at the Double Clown after the Sharks game on Thurs. for that Deadhand gig. You see, I like to check out bands before everyone else does, so that way, when certain people get into that band, telling me who amazing and awesome they are, like, years later, I can laugh at them with an air of arrogance and smugness while saying 'Tell me something I don't know you Poseur!' ha ha ha Deadhand Thursday night, Squeeze on Friday night, and Madness on Saturday. What a fucking treat!! What did I do to get sooooooo gawd damn lucky? Is it my Karma rewarding me for what I've been going through as of late? Probably. Oh wait - I forgot - I don't believe in Karma, because if I did, then bad things would be happening to bad people - Oh wait... ha ha ha ha See you at the gigs! :-)
Bad things happen to bad people? I dunno, you tell me... Oh, Praise Allah that the damn Viva thing is over. If I have to see another Punk Rocker turned Fatsy Cline or Betty Fudges with a shitty chest tattoo in a floral print dress with a flower in their hair thinking they're sexy looking I'm gonna puke! LOL All I saw were sheep - sheep being fleeced of their hard earned $$$ at every given opportunity, and loving every minute of it. Just. Fucking. Pathetic. The Anti-Viva thing going on at the Stratosphere was better. Just saying... Friday night was the Grand Re-Opening party for Cowtown Guitars. I wish I could say more about it but I was fucking out if it the whole time there. Thanks to that special someone who hooked me up with those magical brownies, and to Her for all that free Jameson's. She knows what I like, that's for sure. :-) I remember the party was packed, a lot of stuff was being sold, the music was bumping (I heard Black Randy And The Metrosquad being played! <3) and I was chatting with a bunch of people who came down to hang out and eat some cake - cake with black frosting that turned your mouth and lips black when you ate it! LOL It was brilliant! After the cake was sliced up and served to the masses it turned into a Goth party, with everyone walking around looking like they were wearing black lipstick. Cue Bella Lugosi's Dead please. :-) Pictures are coming soon. I stood thisclose to the Publishing Queen of Rock 'N' Roll Sally Steele, from Vegas Rocks! magazine, who kept cutting me off and stepping into my shot while I was trying to take pictures of the ribbon cutting and the cake cutting. I called her a cunt but I don't think she heard me... heh heh Sat. there was a sick ass backyard party with Battle Born, The Fact Remains and the Happy Campers playing, but I stayed Home to watch the Sharks clinch the 7th seed in the West by beating the L.A. Queens 3-2 in overtime. What a shot by Boyle to win it. The Game was beautiful, and the win gave us the St. Louis Blues in the opening round of the playoffs. Bring it!! ha ha ha ha First game is on Thursday. I might go celebrate the victory by seeing Deadhand play @ the Double Down afterwords. :-) Yeah, I love Deadhand sooooooo much I might go see them play at the Double Clown. I needs a fix. I need me some Deadhand. :-)
Easter Sunday yesterday was spent with the Family at Casa de Amoroso. The PBR's and Guinness were cold, the prime rib bloody, the potatoes scallopy, and the chocolate plentiful. <3 Chris, and old friend from way, Way, WAY back in the days was in town from India, where he apparently lives now, working for some big gaming corporation here in town. He was in town for business and stopped by for a bit of a chat and a reminiscence or two. Sitting around with everyone, just relaxing, watching the kids running around with the dog being crazy, wallowing in the after glow of an amazing meal, I dunno, it was just a perfect ending to a pretty sweet weekend. I loved it. Pigasus has some upcoming gigs, so I got that practice to deal with this week, and I think Aluminum Falcon is getting closer to finishing up the recording we swore was only going to take 3 days to finish, but I'm not sure. I was going to go to GWAR / Municipal Waste tonight, but I think we're heading to the studio to work on some final mixes, so I might have to miss the gig. Phooey! Thank Gawd Squeeze is on Friday and Madness is on Saturday. I might need them both for a relief this week.
If you have Regrets, and they're not your Decision to make, then that's just You not taking Responsibility for your Actions and blaming others for your Mistakes. As usual. ;-) hee hee hee
OK, the bad news is that Aluminum Falcon is no longer playing the Cowtown Guitars Grand Re-Opening party going down tonight for First Friday. The reason why is that a special permit is needed for Bands to play, a permit that takes 60 days to go into effect and costs a pretty penny as well, so yeah, no bands playing tonight, but, the good news is, you can still come down and have some beer and cake with everyone and to help celebrate Cowtown's new location and to wish the Amoroso's the best of Luck with this, their new Life changing endeavor. And oh yeah, in case you missed it, Jesse was on Fox 5 News yesterday talking about the whole thing. Here's the video of it. I guess you gotta click on it or something... heh heh So yeah, see ya there tonight. DJ Rex Dart will be spinning tunes, there's a keg of PBR that needs killing, and there's a Les Paul shaped cake!!! <3
The smell of Tres Flores is thick in the air. There's something going on this weekend that involves Dooshbags of both sexes converging somewhere for something, but I can't remember what it is, or why I should care... heh heh heh Yeah, Viva is in town - you've been warned. I'm going to try to avoid that shit like the plague. Check out this cool movie about Bettie Page that's premiering there though. This might be the only reason I go to that damn thing this year.
The fucking Blasters are opening up for Tiger Army this Sat. @ the House of Boooooo's, which is a such a travesty it's nauseating. I'd love to see the Blasters but I doubt I'd survive for long in that crowd... heh. Instead, I'll just wait for the almighty Gwar / Municipal Waste gig happening on Monday. That, my friends, is going to be SICK!!! See ya there!
ha ha ha Was Surrounded By Thieves heckling me from the stage??? Those bastards! LOL Yeah, I don't know exactly what they were saying about me on stage, but I'm hoping it was all in jest, because if it wasn't, Ohhhhh, I'm gonna get those guys! ;-) But seriously, I was having too much fun just hanging out with everyone who came out to the gig to either see Aluminum Falcon, The People's Whiskey or Surrounded By Thieves, or to hear me dole out details on what happened between Shawna Lynn and me to really pay much attention to what the band was playing... heh heh Sorry guys. Look, I know you all want me to blast her on here, and just do to her what I did to Athena or Debra, but it's not gonna happen. She isn't even worth the effort, and the fact that her name and reputation are now dog shit in this town, I'd prefer to just leave her as the walking dead piece of shit that she is and let her sleep in the mess that she made of her Life. I'm over it. it's done. It's all Comedy to me. And yeah, that thing that happened with her kid could be considered Karma to those of you who believe in that shit. I don't but whatever. Bad things happen to bad people. Sad but true. What can I say about the gig @ the Motor City Cafe that you probably don't already know? The People's Whiskey just keep on impressing the Hell out of me with their amazing catalog of work, and each set I see them play is different and never boring. They are seriously great and I hope they just keep getting more and more popular here in the City, and that some wise record label swoops them up and gives them a boat load of cash to support their Rock N Roll dreams and wishes. <3 Everybody said that we, Aluminum Falcon, were good, but I don't know what set they were listening to! LOL I never hear anyone else, but I know I kept losing sticks and sucking wind behind the kit, and somebody introducing one of our songs as being about a girl and having her leave you in San Francisco for a dirty squatter punk was not funny, assholes! ha ha ha Everybody had something to say about her, and I heard each and every one of you. Seriously. I wish I could comment on how Surrounded By Thieves sounded, but I was too busy socializing outside with everyone which, according to the band, is where I always end up watching them from. Who knew? LOLThe gig ended early, so we jumped into the Tour Van of Death and headed off to Favorite's, hoping to catch us some Deadhand, Tinglerz or the Black Jetts. We got there long after the bands had finished playing, unfortunately. The Tinglerz were already gone and Deadhand and Roy and Gabe from The Black Jetts were just hanging out in the parking lot. Deadhand had an extremely large butt plug device, pink in color, heavy in weight, among their gear that was sitting on the sidewalk. I wanted badly to ask them why, but I was too scared too... heh heh The Black Jetts didn't even play, because they just lost their bass player Roy, so if any of you bass players out there are looking to join a kick ass Punk Rock And Soul band, please contact the band here or here and be prepared to sell your soul... heh heh We all hung around a bit before calling it a night. Hanging out with your Friends is always fun. It's always a good thing. :-) Yeah, everything is going awesome right now. Minor speed bumps aside, the ride is smooth, the view - beautiful. Everything's updated. Check out the Pictures I took of the Sharp Objects @ Thee Parkside in San Francisco. This is the band I was watching while the ass clown I was with was getting mad at people bumping into her, and then confronting them by saying 'Do you know who I am? Do you know where I come from?' LOL What the Hell was I thinking?? ;-)
Big hugs and kisses to everyone who came out to Amber Watson's memorial get together @ the Bunkhouse last night. More than enough money was raised to cover all the expenses, which just goes to show you how beloved that girl was to people here in town. The place was packed, the mood a bit somber. The band Stereo High did an excellent job playing for everyone, and they sounded pretty good while doing it. I'd check them out again if the circumstances were different. It was good seeing sooooo many people I haven't seen in ages there, but it sucked that we were gathered together for all the wrong reasons. It was what it was, and I was there, and that's pretty much it. It was a great show of Love for someone who was taken away from us at a much, much too early age, and I can only hope that the rumors aren't true. Death. Phooey. The night ended up with a group of us heading off to the Artifice, and since we were in the neighborhood, a private after-hours tour of Cowtown Guitars... LOL Jesse & Roxie's new place is fucking magnificent, and conveniently located next to a gay porno shop full of glory holes and desperate men. I mean, that's what I heard anyways. I would never frequent such an establishment. ;-) ha ha ha Congrats to Cowtown Guitars for their new posh digs. The new place is incredible. I can't see anything but a bright and rosy future ahead of them. <3 And I was pretty drunk last night, but I think I joined Pigasus... LOL Anyways, everything's updated. Aluminum Falcon is playing a gig @ the Motor City Cafe tonight with our good friends Surrounded By Thieves and my 2nd favorite Local band The People's Whiskey, so if you're not going to see The Black Jetts / Deadhand / Tinglerz gig @ Favorites, stop on by and hang out and have a few drinks and socialize. We're going on 2nd, so get there appropriately. It should be a fun time. It usually always is. ;-) See ya there.
Shit! I almost forgot to tell you about the February Music Reviews that were posted recently, so that's what I'm doing now! LOL I talk shit about the latest releases from Moon Women, Cerebral Ballzy, Metallica, Famous Last Words, G.P.B., the Nirvana tribute CD Newermind from Spin Magazine, Van Halen and Corrosion Of Conformity. Click here to read them. Also, I forgot to mention that The People's Whiskey @ the Bikini Bar photos were just added as well, so go to the right of these words and click on the photo of their guitar player who's name I don't know or you can just click here to check them out as well. Nothing much more to say really. Band practice has been killing me as of late, getting hyped up on recording this weekend @ Camel Hump Studios. It's gonna be fantastic! If you're in a band, click here to check out all the things they have to offer you. It's a pretty sick set up they got going there, so take advantage. Oh, and I don't think Aluminum Falcon is gonna be playing that gig @ the Cheyenne Saloon on Friday. We still haven't gotten a flyer from the Promoter and it just doesn't seem like it's worth it to play a gig that nobody knows anything about. We got better things to do with our time, like record a masterpiece! ;-)
OhMyGawd! The nuptials of Tess & Jess on Saturday was soooooooo cool! The outdoor ceremony was held @ the Artisan (classy joint with over-priced drinks) and the feeling being amongst Family and Friends was pretty fucking sweet. Everybody was fucking nice as can be, and there was nothing but Love Love Love in the air! :-) The ceremony itself was beautiful, with the Bride's side of the aisle filled with normal, well dressed people, looking healthy and animated, and the Groom's side of the aisle was filled with tattooed freaks all dressed in black looking hung over and very uncomfortable outside the confines of a dark, smelly bar. :-) Funny stuff. After the Ceremony was over it was great when Tess & Jess walked down the aisle as Man & Wife to the music from some Star Wars movie... heh heh heh As if you would expect anything else, right? Then the party moved to Agave where it was open bar, free food, and a strong enforcement of liquor license lines by an over-zealous Bar Manager or something. The commemorative shot glasses were a fine touch, and leave it to the Mexicans in the crowd to steal all the ones left behind on other tables, as well as stealing anything and everything that wasn't nailed down! LOL Oh, such fun times. Again, Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Nabers. Thanx for the Invite, and all the Best to the both of you. Huzzzzaaaaahhh! ;-) Quiet weekend for me. Went to nothing, saw nothing, heard everything. I knew the Authority Zero show was going to be great, but after the Wedding reception I was waaaaayyy too buzzed to be driving around safely, so I headed Home to continue my whiskey drinking while watching Workaholics. ;-) I didn't make it to Lagwagon on Sunday either, because I was too busy doing nothing while laying around on the couch, wishing football was on. Bob was hanging out at my place after practice the other night while I was mixing down some old Loud Pipes practice MP3's I have laying around, and he saw all the other bands that I have recorded, and made the silly ass comment about releasing some of the tracks on some sort of onethirtyeight.org compilation thingy, and doing it old school by releasing it on cassette... LOL I told him I toyed with the idea a while back, but then decided 'What for?' and just left it at that. But Bob swears he'll do it, so I let him have at it, telling him I was gonna put the finished product on the website as a download and that he could release it on cassette if he mixed all the live stuff down, and so he did, and the first band on the block was G.F.I. because Bob says Nick is the dirtiest old man ever! ha ha ha We're working with bare basic mixing software (no Pro Tools) and the fact that these are just recorded on my little TASCAM hand held recorder, but they came out pretty good for what they are. Anyways, click here to check out the recording of G.F.I. Live @ The Bunkhouse on Feb. 27, 2010. Everything is updated. I got band practice in a few hours. Aluminum Falcon has a gig to play this Friday @ the Cheyenne Saloon, and I wish I knew who was playing, and I wish I had a flyer to show you for the gig, but, well, you know how that goes. Why promote a gig weeks beforehand when you can just create a Facebook event page a few days before the gig and then post the flyer on there. LOL After the gig on Friday we're heading straight to the studio to record our debut release. We got the studio locked down all weekend, and to say that this is a long time coming is the Understatement of the Century. Should be good. :-)
