Wow, what a weekend. 3 people I know got arrested this weekend - 2 of them for some serious charges, 1 for just being an idiot. It wasn't a good weekend for them, that's for sure. Me personally, I blame the solar eclipse or whatever that stupid thing was that everyone was all gaa gaa over for the abnormal behavior. It's always amazing to me that people feel the need to re-post over and over ad nauseam on Facebook things that are all over the media. You're not a news reporter people. Hey, let's keep people's minds off the important stuff like what's going on in Chicago at the NATO convention by bombarding them with inane stuff that's vapid and meaningless like a solar eclipse! Fucking sheeple I swear.

This gig flyer just popped up this weekend. I fucking hate the Griffin but I love Deadhand, so you can see my dilemma. I don't know who Rusty Maples are, but I'm sure I won't like them... heh heh
I made the trek out to the Silverton on Sat. to see Don Carlos, only to find out the gig had been moved to the Hard Rock and that it had started an hour earlier. Fuck. I didn't feel up to making the trek to the Hard Rock on a Sat. night so I just called it and went Home. Band practice has been killing me of late, so I need all the rest I can get. It's the calm before the storm known as Punk Rock Bowling, which has now achieved the same dooshbag gathering of Poseurs status that the Viva Rockasilly thing has. Whatever. The band that I think I'm officially now a member of, Guilty By Association, is playing 2 gigs for PRB, and it sure would be nice to see a few familiar faces at either one of them... hint hint
Robin Gibb passed away this weekend, which was sad. The dude fought the good fight. Donna Summer passed away a few days earlier. Both of those artists music was like the soundtrack to the 70's. It was everywhere. You know you're getting old when Disco stars start dying off. ;-) And, just to show you they always die in 3's, Chuck Brown preceded them all. Damn. You can even do another recent three celebrities with Carrol Shelby, the car dude, Vidal Sassoon, the hair dude, and George Lindsey, aka the Goober dude on The Andy Griffith Show. *Le sigh* And Abe Vigoda laughs at them all.

Everything is updated. I added the Surrounded By Thieves photos to the website, and you can click here to check them out. Weebly just did some kick ass improvements this weekend, so I've been redesigning and reconfiguring everything on here. You can now comment on everything individually, so I re-added all the photos in the new format, as well as a bunch of Music Reviews that I don't think were up before, stuff from bands like The Heroine, Too $hort, The Toy Dolls, Anthrax, Metallica, Die Laughing, and a few other bands I'm not remembering right now, so go to the page and check all that out. I'm up early so I'm gonna get back to updating everything to the new format. It's a Monday, a day like any other day, a day to nerd out on my website and get shit done! :-)

Well, I had some time off, since Aluminum Falcon didn't practice yesterday, so I fucking relaxed and did fuck all. I watched cartoons and listened to Nick And Artie. I cleaned my house. I made tacos and rice. Yeah, this practice thing last week was a bit hectic, to say the least, but I think all the hard work payed off, because every band I was trying out with and jamming with liked me, so yeah, go me! LOL I'm gonna be filling in for Bingo Billy in Guilty By Association for a bit, until his torn ACL heals up and he's able to get back behind the kit. GBA has some big shows coming up, like the D.I. gig for Punk Rock Bowling, the Swingin' Utter$ gig @ the Bunkhouse (I think) and some gig just outside of Denver with The Black Pacific at some skate park or someplace like that, I dunno. I'm just the drummer. Nobody tells me anything, and that's just fine. :-)

It's a beautiful day today. I think I'm gonna go hang around outside somewhere. Everything's updated. I just added the photos that Skateboard Bob took of Aluminum Falcon playing at the Motor City Cafe like, months ago, click here to see them, and I don't remember if I even mentioned those Die Laughing pictures I took when they played their going away party. Click here to check those out. I wish I would of gotten more pictures of the band playing, but I didn't charge my camera battery, and it died during the bands set. Booooooooo. Well, hopefully they can get back together, either here or in California, and I'll shoot them up something proper. Get their new CD if you haven't already. That thing is face shredding. The band's Facebook page is right here. :-)

Guess who has their Internet back? Yeah, this guy right here! :-)

I was awoken up at like 4 in the afternoon yesterday by a phone call from Cox cable telling me that they could be by in an hour to establish my Internet service if I was available. And this was just after they had told me on Monday that it wasn't going to be until the 30th that they could fix my wiring or whatever the problem was. Fucking competence exemplified I tells ya!  Anyways, the Internet is back on for me, and I got lots of catching up to do. I'm downloading porn at 15 Mbps now!! ha ha ha

Man, I wish this thing was on in time to tell you about that Vermin taping that went down at the Double Clown last night. It was for the pilot episode of Dirk Vermin's reality T.V. show, and I heard it was pretty fun. Can Vegas stand another reality based show? I hope so, because if anything, a T.V. show about Pussykat Tattoo and Dirk Vermin would be entertaining at the least. :-)

Hey - I can tell you about this though - one of the newest bands on the scene here in Vegas is playing their last show tonight @ the Arts Factory. Yeah, Vihan Rytmi has the strange honor of playing their first show and their last show all in the same month! LOL Yeah, another band being affected by the 'Larry B. is moving' thing here in Vegas, which is a shame, because this band is really, really good. Check out the video below to see what you're gonna miss out on if you don't make it down to the Arts Factory tonight.
Yeah, this whole thing with Larry moving out of town is a trip. He's moving to the Southern California area for some gawd forsaken reason... Ugh! He leaves behind quite a legacy, that's for sure. I think that all the bands he's played with or helped out with here in town make up like 40% of the Vegas Music Scene! LOL His Drummer Bob is making the trek with him as well, so I'm sure Die Laughing will continue in one form or another. The gig tonight @ the Arts Factory is their going away party and Die Laughing's CD Release Party, so get yer ass downtown and let's give him a proper sendoff. I'm sure he'll be back in town sometime in the future, but who knows when that will be, ya know? He is certainly going to be missed around here, but you can't help but be happy for him because you know the L.A. scene that he's moving into just got a Hell of a lot cooler, that's for sure. I raise my glass in a toast to you Larry - Big, Big Cheers Brother! All the Best to ya! See ya tonight!

I gotta cut this short, because I just found out via Facebook that Guilty By Association is playing some cancer benefit gig just down the street from my pad at some motorcycle shop on Russell, so I'm gonna go check that out and get my grub on. Neon Reverb is in town, and just doing horribly from what I'm hearing, and I couldn't be happier. It's not tanking and stinking up the joint like the Pastel Project is, but still, I'm glad both of these so-called music festivals are doing shitty, because let's face it, the bands playing these things are shitty. Over-hyped bearded hipster scum playing 70's acoustic pablum to rooms full of scenester sheep. Fuck off with that shit. Seriously.

What a long, strange trip it's been. :-/

Well, I'm back from San Diego, no worse for wear, and a little bit enlightened as to how 2012 is going to be for me. It's always great seeing my Family back home and catching up on the going ons and whatnot, but I dunno if I could ever live back there. Again. I need the Sound and Fury of Civilization. I need the Bright Lights of the Big City. I need Music - Punk Rock Music, and I need it all the time. I might not wanna move back Home right now, but I may not have a say in the matter after a bit. In the back of my head, I know I'm always heading back Home someday. We all do. It's always Beautiful there. Always.

I left the Rez at midnight on Friday. I was gonna stop by and see Surrounded By Thieves and Battle Born at some bar in San Diego, but I was tired and knew if I didn't get my ass Home that I was never gonna make it back in time to return my rental car,, and that I would get stuck paying for 2 extra days that I didn't have to, so sorry guys. The trip is usually a 6 or 7 hour drive, depending on traffic, but I made it in a little under 5 hours. How did I do that, you ask? Well, let's just say that I like to drive fast. :-)
Picture
I couldn't focus because of all the G-Force! :-)
Yeah, so now I'm back, with a shitload of catching up to do. I added the Pictures I took of Die Laughing from that gig @ the Arts Factory I went to last week before I left, and you can click here to check them out. I'm gonna get cracking on everything I need to do to get back on track with everything website related, and I leave you with this video I took of the Mapes playing at the Arts Factory, doing one of their many "hits". The song is called Voltron. Enjoy! :-)

Yeah, look at what you missed out on... heh heh
I know! A new Mapes song! And it rules!! ha ha ha It's worth watching just to see Haywood J. putting his mouth around a beer can and guzzling it down with no hands involved! LOL Now that's Sexy times 12! ;-) Oh man, Friday night was sooooooooo much fun. Yeah, I know everyone and their Mom went to that Adolescents / Youth Brigade / Vermin gig @ LVCS (sheep), and I heard it was a pretty OK show (what was up with TheCore cancelling?) but the gig @ the Arts Factory had better bands and a record swap meet, with lots of crates and boxes full of colored vinyl goodness! I was in Heaven!! ha ha ha I easily blew hundreds of dollars stocking up my vinyl collection with stuff I used to have and stuff that I never had before. F-U-N. Phooey to the elitist record collecting scum dogs who wouldn't take my money for their records. I lost out on a few choice pieces of vinyl because of it, but that's OK because it was their loss. :-) All the Bands that played were cool. Vanish Twin from AZ. were easily the highlight of the night, playing some twisted Neurosis type ambient noise grind-core shit. Here's a video of them doing a song called Looking For Flames. I stopped recording at the end of the video because I thought they went into a different song. ;-) They continued playing for like 3 minutes after I stopped filming... heh.
Yeah, I was just hanging out and walking around doing my thing and observing the happenings and goings ons and whatnot. Life's Torment kicked things off with a blistering set of Noise not Music that was just broooootal as fuck. Why don't these guys just pack the places they play in with fans going ape shit over their music is beyond me, but whatever. I'm all about catching small, intimate performances with little to no one there, as opposed to big HOB corrals full of automatons and sheeple. Lame. Watching Bob play drums is a trip, because he's a lefty, but his technique is destructive and he's got a good sense of timing and fills which is cool to watch. Larry looks like he's channeling demons when he plays his guitar and screams into the microphone, and Travis acts like he's being tortured and mutilated while he shreds the bass and screams along. Life's Torment are fucking Ace and they just get better and better every time I see them. They're pretty fucking sick and you should check them out each and every time you get the chance. If you like your Punk music chainsaw fast and just as delicate, then look no further than Life's Torment. They bring it each and every time. I posted the photos I took that night already, and they're over to the left of these words. ------------------------>

Speaking of checking things out, check out this thing that Fuzz, one time bartender extraordinaire at the Legendary Cooler Lounge (R.I.P.) has going on. It's a solo project called Fuzz So Low (get it?) with Fuzz playing guitar while accompanying himself on a kick drum and set of high hats. It was pretty cool stuff and it's always fun watching Fuzz kick out the jams. Kick out the jams... get it? Oh, the puns are flying fast and furious today! :-)
Fuzz So Low played inside, and everyone else played outside. Good Greens ( a total Sublime rip off band) played inside, and Spotted Dick And The Love Stew cancelled. Again. Do those guys just sign up to play gigs and then don't play them or something? LOL Sabertooth Snatch (from AZ.) played, and they were pretty good, in a Victim's Family kind of way. I don't think they went over too well with the majority of the crowd, either because they were a bit different then what Die Laughing and Life's Torment threw down, or because everyone was inside checking out the Record Swap Meet. Either or, not a lot of people were checking out Sabertooth Snatch, which was a shame because they were pretty good. Check them out for yourself and see.
_And last but not least is Die Laughing. They were pretty good but their set kind of just meshed into the Life's Torment set, because they played back to back from each other and they're basically the same band but with a different bass player. How Bob pulled that one off I'll never know. ;-) The music they play is kick ass though, so it makes it worth it. Their set was short but sweet, ending with a Black Flag cover that brought Travis from Life's Torment back on stage to handle lead vocals. Check out the video and see how well they did thrashing out Gimme Gimme Gimme.
So yeah, there's my little video wrap up of everything that was going on at the Arts Factory last Friday night. It was a great time and if you weren't there, then you're lame. And if you were at that gig at the LVCS instead of this one, then you're stupid - real stupid. :-)

Yeah, I realize the irony in protesting censorship of the Internet by self-censoring myself ON the Internet, but still, pretty funny stuff. It's also funny how the news about the censorship of the Internet movement was spread via the Internet as well. Oh the delicious irony! The fact that some people out there optimistically believe that they have any say in what the Government is or isn't going to do is laughable to me, although this little censorship issue apparently caused 30 Senators and Congressmen to flip-flop on their position on this, so who knows? Maybe the People can have a say in what goes on in their Government? Or maybe this is feeding the masses just enough to keep them from starving. Giving the dog a bone. Whatever. I thought it was interesting. I participated. The End.

Mapes Flyer
Hey! I don't know if you saw the flyer on your way in here, but there is this pretty fun looking gig happening this Friday at the LVCS: Adolescents / Youth Brigade / The Vermin / TheCore It should be interesting, to say the least. I haven't seen either headlining band in a while, so hearing them running through their 'Greatest Hits set seems like a pretty good way to cap off a Friday night. My Friday night is going to start at the Hellpop Record Swap Meet, where I'm gonna have a grip of cash to buy records with, and if I'm not too busy drooling over some pretty colored vinyl, I might check out some of the bands that are playing, which includes Life's Torment, Die Laughing and, of course, The Mapes. <3 There's some new band playing that's composed of members of 1/2 Ast, but those guys don't like me anymore, so phooey to them. Check them out if you're there though.

Speaking of things you should check out if you're so inclined, tonight @ the Double Down Deadhand are playing some AVN kickoff party or some shit. They're playing with some shitty bands that aren't worth mentioning, bands that think that sexual gimmicks and sloppy blow jobs will allow them to 'make it', whatever that means. The sad part is that some of my Friends like them... Jeesh! hahaha Whatever, go check out Deadhand tonight - you will not be disappointed, unless they decide to play some of their shitty acoustic covers they've been doing as of late for that other 'Punk Rock' website here in town. Acoustic guitars are NOT Punk Rock. Neither are beards, for that matter. Get over it already. Seriously.

Thousand Watt Stare
_Oh, Saturday night this band called Thousand Watt Stare is playing at the Bikini Bar. I'm told they're pretty good and that I might like them, but again, they're playing with some shitty band that's not worth supporting and because of that, I'll be staying at home. Man, I wish these people in these bands would just go away. You can't talk shit about people, run away without paying what you owed them, burning all your bridges in this town and then move away and then come back after a few years and just act like everything is OK and all is forgotten and forgiven. Just because you found new people to believe your bullshit doesn't mean that you're the 'Cool Guy' that those ignorant few think you are. Well, it's either that or maybe I'm just an asshole, I dunno... heh heh Bikini Bar is a cool place, and if you got nothing better to do on Saturday then stop by and check out Thousand Watt Stare and tell me how they were. :-)

Sunday! Sunday!! Sunday!!! Old School Metal comes to the House of Boooooo's when Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel tear shit up there. I've seen all 3 of those bands many, many times before and if I'm feeling all nostalgic I may just stop by and see how well they've aged. Anthrax's new album Worship Music is pretty good, so I may go just to hear how new songs like Fight 'Em Till You Can't and The Devil You Know sound live. And, to watch Charlie Benante play drums. <3

Everything is updated. See you around.

It's Monday. Sad, Sad Monday. :-/

I'm still beaming over how great the Mapes were on Saturday night. Maybe it was my highly intoxicated state of being, or maybe it was because the guys in the band weren't as drunk as they usually are when they play, but damn did those guys sound good. Watching them play in front of an All Ages crowd was the best thing ever! There were a bunch of kids like 5 years old or younger that were loving the costumes the band were wearing, but they hated that it was so LOUD to them! The kids danced around anyways while the band played, and the Mapes called them pussies for doing so. Brilliant. :-) They played pretty much everything I wanted to hear, except for Your Pussy Makes Me Vomit. Bastards. The band opened up with a Civic Minded 5 cover, and I almost walked away in disgust (just kidding) but right after that cover they played Get Let and all was right in the world. They were soooooo good. The Mapes even played a few new songs, including a song that I think was called Delicious (D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Delicious!) which just gives me hope that the next Mapes release, which should be out by the year 2036, will be just as brilliant as their first self titled release is. Hopefully they get around to recording those songs that didn't make the album too, like Reptilicus, Ding-Dong and Pigs In A Blanket. Oh, and that Mummies cover would be nice too... hint hint. :-)

Speaking of releases, I bought a bunch of new releases from Panic Inc. when I was at the Arts Factory for the gig, including the new Sheep On A Cliff release, as well as stuff from Die Laughing, Life's Torment, Lethal Injection, Godstomper and Hot Fuck Action To The Maxxx. The beauty of it all is that they are all on cassette tape. Total Old School Baby! As if Larry couldn't get any cooler than he already is, he releases stuff on CD as well as cassette, and that, among other reasons, is why you should support his label Panic Inc. and everything they release. Everything. Larry's band Sheep On A Cliff played as well on Saturday night, completely shredding up the small wooden stage they were playing on, and playing some of the most broooooootaaaaal face melting Punk Rock imaginable. It was like Dirt crossed with Infest. If only Emma's drum set was in tune, then it would of been fantastic! LOL Sheep On A Cliff raged and rocked and rampaged and the mixed crowd of Punx, Parents and Patrons of the Arts ate it all up. Fun gig @ the Arts Factory. I hope they keep doing them there. Good turnout too.

I ended Saturday night drinking at the Goth club going on inside Artifice, hanging out with 3/4's of the Civilians, chatting with Her all night long and watching the Kids dance in the green laser beams in the room across from the bar. Watching Goth Girls dance is one of the best things ever. :-) Cool way to end the night. I had a sick Skater Bob passed out in the back of my car, puking all over the place and claiming he had food poisoning but I suspect it was a semen overdose. If you look closely I swear you can see some undigested cock meat.
Art
Now THAT'S what I call Art! :-)
_I went out there periodically to check on him, to make sure he didn't pull a Bon Scott on me, and after making him wait for me while I got my grub on at Felipilito's, I dropped him off just as the sun was coming up, which, as you know, is the magical time when Night turns to Day, and when one's thoughts are at their most coherent and lucid. Take advantage if you're ever there - I always do.

OK, I gotta get back to Call Of Duty: MW3, because it's been like 10 minutes since I've played in and I'm jonesing bad! LOL Sorry to Demon Lung for not making their gig with High On Fire - same apology to the Civilians who I was going to watch before going to the Demon Lung / High On Fire gig! heh heh Thank you to Jeff from The Bitters for the CD's - very much appreciated. Thanks to Her for always keeping things interesting. <3 Thanks to the random guy from Russia who contacted me for the Interview about the viability of the Las Vegas Punk Rock Music Scene - I'm pretty positive I will never see it or hear it, but damn was it fun! hahahaha And it hurts to say this but Thank You to the Denver Broncos for beating the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday, leaving the Oakland Raiders in sole possession of 1st place in the AFC West. People, Life is Good!!! :-) New Pictures added, everything's updated, yada yada yada.

She's waiting for me, but I'm a long, long way from Home. :-)

Random conversation #61 heard outside the Box Office last night:

"Hey, how did you hear about this show?"
"Oh, I read about it on this website called 138."
hahahahaha

Random conversation #247, 312 and 341 heard at the Beauty Bar:

"I didn't even know the Bronx were playing until I read about it on your website!"
hee hee hee

Yeah, I think I've found my niche with the website. Gig information. I know lots of people get info about gigs from here, because they tell me so, or they copy my misinformation and misspellings word for word and put them up on their Myspace pages. **coughcoughlasvegaspunkshowlist** hahahaha Who cares? As long as the message is getting out there, that's all that matters.

Yeah, taking a little break from playing my beloved video game, recovering from a rowdy night of gigging about town. That Outbreak / Hour Of The Wolf / Smartbomb / Murder Majesty / Start! gig was a pretty sweet way to start the night. Smartbomb were sooooooooooo fucking good. Hour Of The Wolf was a bit disappointing, because they had this wimpy drummer playing behind them, taking away a lot from the power of the music, and they seemed a bit off for some reason, I dunno. I wasn't the only one who noticed that either. It was funny when they were onstage telling the story of how Joe The Fireman had his leg broken when they played Vegas the last time @ East Side Joe's, and how Eastside Joe didn't want him calling an ambulance to the place, and how nobody would give him a ride to the hospital either, so Joe The Fireman had to hobble his ass away from Eastside Joe's to call an ambulance for himself somewhere down the street... hahahaha Poor guy! Outbreak were fucking fantastic and I got a kick in the eye from an errant stage diver for my trouble and stupidity in standing right near the front of the stage. Oh well. It was worth it. They were really fucking good. Piss poor turnout though. Could it have been from a lack of promotion, perhaps? Yeah, probably. Highlight of the night had to be when we were standing around talking about the upcoming Queers gig @ the Divebar, when someone asked who was opening, and someone else said Murder Majesty, and then Hank!, in a loud ass voice goes "MURDER MAJESTY! FUCK THOSE GUYS! THEY OPEN ALL..." and quickly trailed off at the end because Sean from Murder Majesty was standing 5 feet behind him! hhahahahaahaha Hank! strikes again! Fun times @ the Box Office. It was great that Sal was being called the Old Guy and not me for once! ;-)

After that gig everybody and their Mom was @ the Beauty Bar to see The Bronx playing for free. I love running into people who I talk to all the time on Facebook and having them completely ignore me when I try to talk to them in real life! LOL Mariachi El Bronx were disgustingly horrible, and to see all the Caucasions getting all romantic to the lame ass  tunes being played was gloriously entertaining. You would of thought it was a high school dance or something! LOL The band needed a tuba player and some Spanish cat calls to make the sham more believable though. Seriously. Lame. As. Fuck. I almost left it was so terrible. All was forgiven about an hour later when the Bronx proper took the stage. Intensity level went through the roof from the first note played onwards, and as one of the bodies being pummelled up front against the low slung stage, I again caught a kick to the eye - same eye, same situation - an errant stage diver. I stood in the back after that and watched the action from the rear. My Momma didn't raise no fool! LOL The Bronx were ridiculously awesome, and although I'm not that big of a fan of theirs, they did play my favorite song by them, Shitty Future, so I'm happy I was there. Why weren't you there? Something better going on? No matter the case, if you weren't there, you missed out big time! Pictures are already posted. Show Review might be forthcoming, who knows?

OK. Back to my video games. There's a cool gig going on tonight with Megaton Leviathon and Dead Neon happening @ the LVCS tonight. If you're in the mood to have your face grinded off and to have your ears blownn out to utter uselessness, then you should try to stop by and be prepared to be annhilated. That band Bad Taste are playing the Sanctuary tonight too, and I'd go, but I'm kind of in recovery mode. Doesn't mean you shouldn't go though. :-)
Bad Taste Flyer
any flyer with Bart Simpson on it is a winner in my book!
Tomorrow it's all about this gig, again, at the LVCS, featuring TurbonegrA, an all female tribute to every Turbojugend's raison d'etre! Local support is amazing, and you do not wanna miss this gig - Seriously!
TurbonegrA Flyer
I GOT ERECTION!!!
If you're out and about early enough, you can catch this gig which is apparently Die Laughing's last gig ever, as one of the band members is moving away or becoming a Priest or a Mormon or something. ;-) This is going to be an excellent get together. Come out and have some fun. Don't be one of those brain dead zombies who just waste their Life away playing video games - oh wait... hahahaha
Die Laughing Flyer
Comic books and Punk Rock - what more do you need???

OK, so I've just crashed the Ghost Train into Mexico, using the stolen Spanish Soldiers uniform that I got after I killed those wetters for talking shit to me up North. I can't decode the 4th Treasure Map for the life of me, and running into old friends like Seth, Nigel Dickens, Bonnie McFarlane (even though I blew her Dad's brains out in the barn) and Sheriff Marshall is just like the icing on the cake I can't stop eating. I love killing Chupacabras and I've vowed to never kill another Sasquatch as long as I live. I found the Brokeback Mountain guys, and I loved killing that Nazi store keep for shits and giggles. You probably don't have any idea of what I'm talking about, and if you do, isn't it great? LOL Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare has been consuming my Life as of late, and I'm not minding that fact one bit. I don't go to Gigs, work on the Website, or even venture out of the house for replenishment anymore - everybody delivers nowadays, including Albertsons! ;-) Ahhhhhhhh... this is why I don't play video games more than I do. They take over my Life and make everything else seem inconsequential. Fun as Hell though.

I do get out on Sundays to watch the Raiders at Casa de Amoroso though, and with our new Good Luck charm Tony, things have been most festive as of late. Roxie is the best host a group of Neanderthal football fans could ever hope to have, and with our 3 game winning streak going into the bye week, I'm feeling most optimistic that we'll give Pittsburgh a good run for their money next game. And what about what happened to Wade Phillips? hahahahaahahahaha Jerry Jones is a douchebag! The only way the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl this year is if they buy a ticket! LOL And the Sharks are pissing me off. We do great against the good teams, and we suck ass when we play the not-so-good teams. Niemi Sucks, the Joe Thornton suspension was total bullshit, but you know what - at least we're not the Ducks, the Kingss, or the Sabres!! hahaha Oh SNAPS!

California, we're coming for you...
Hide your sheep!!
Vegascendents Flyer
The clowns are John Wayne Gacy originals!
It made me both Angry and Amused that the Misfits show had such a great turnout. Angry that there are that many stupid people who went to that bullshit, and Amused that there are that many stupid people who went to that bullshit. All of you who have told me about the gig, either positive or negative, I secretly smirk at you for being a sucker and going to that shit - "You ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" heh heh heh  I'm not gonna pontificate upon which line up is more of a real Misfits reunion - Doyle and Danzig and some Sunset Strip doods, or Jerry Only and some Black Flag alumni, because, as Jess Stewart said, "It's not 1995 anymore - don't we have better things to complain about?" LOL

Time for the Sharks / Ducks game. After that, more zombie killing. Outbreak and everyone's favorite band Murder Majesty is playing @ the Box Office on Thurs., and the Bronx is playing @ the Beauty Bar that night as well. Friday has Bad Taste (new band in town - check out their Myspace page by clicking here) playing @ the Sanctuary, and Dead Neon is playing @ LVCS that night as well. Saturday it's all about Turbonegra, Pigasus (who are actually rehearsing now!!) and the Tinglerz @ the LVCS, but Die Laughing is playing their "last" gig at some place called Hillary downtown that afternoon, and the 7 Outs are at the Double Down that night too! Busy ass weekend of stuff going on. Dress warmly and get your ass out to the gigs! Me, I'll be sitting at home killing zombies; content. ;-) Everything is updated - new stuff added to the Pictures page, as well as the Live Stuff page, including the 2 songs I got of Nails playing @ Yayo Taco, so browse around and waste some time and check shit out. What else are ya gonna do - play Farmville? hahahaha

Check this out - It's for a documentary on the life of Lemmy from
Motörhead
, which, of course, is sorely overdue and much needed in musical times like these. Ain't nobody playing in a band right now that's gonna be respected and revered in 30 years like Lemmy is now. Nope. You hear that, Bono? You hear that Jack White? You hear that every other pretentious douchebag playing in your Screamo - Metal Alternative ghey ass bands? Yeah, fuck the whole lot of you. The question that comes to mind after watching this trailer is this: Is it me, or does the trailer suck?Or does the movie suck? Or is it both?
Yeah, I thought so too. So yeah, what's going on? First Friday was ghey as usual, but with the added presence of a bunch of Bikers and Tattoo people in town for their separate conventions / meth runs, things were definitely interesting around the City this weekend. And oh yeah, there was that Record Label thing happening at a casino somewhere too, but I could care less about that. It was streamed for free on Myspace, where I watched it free of the feeling of pretentiousness and snobbery and without the least bit of the feeling of "trying to be different waaaaay too hard" infiltrating my psyche. It all sucked anyways. Everything I heard just bored me to tears, and I couldn't but fail to see what the big fuss about those bands and that event was all about. I listened to it while looking at my new favorite website, Look At This Fucking Hipster, a website full of different pictures of people that I assumed were wandering around the concert hall trying to out cool each other and be more eccentric than anyone else. Lame. After practice on Friday I took N.J. Pete's advice and headed downtown with Jeremy where we went to the Brass Lounge to shake our tushy's with everyone else at this 80's dance party thing. Well, I shook my tushy, and Pete and Jeremy just drank, because they're manly men like that. The bass player from the Killers was the guest DJ, and watching him try to work the iPad thing they were using to play music was laughable, and his crappy set was just boring everyone in the place to tears and having them heading towards the door, showing that he has no musical taste as well as no musical talent whatsoever. Phooey. Watching The Serving Tray get picked up by the bad guy from Die Hard was fun for a bit, but then it got boring, so Jeremy and I headed off to some bars along the way home, which set the precedent that I would continue to follow all weekend, which was basically just me hitting up as many shitty dive bars as I could find, looking to either get blind drunk or thrown in jail or if I'm lucky, maybe both. Didn't happen, but it was fun trying.

It was in my dive bar hopping pursuit and search for Nevada City Tire on Saturday that I ended up at the Red Label Lounge, where I caught DJ Buckshot, aka Dean, on the 1's and the 2's, and by "1's and 2's", I mean his left and right butt cheeks, both of which were firmly planted on a stool at the bar, getting drunk and hanging out with pals. Apparently, anyone can be a DJ nowadays. ;-) While there I ran into Larry from Panic Inc., a man who musically must be part Jamaican, because he's in like 3 bands all at once, and he gave me the latest releases from his label by Die Laughing, Sheep On A Cliff, and Life's Torment, all of which, is just some amazingly sick shit. Just raw, fast, angry, brutal, truly old school punk rock that just makes me wish I still did Music Reviews just so I could heap loads and loads of praises on all 3 of the CD's that I got, because they're all really that good. Check out Panic Inc. on Myspace by clicking here, and check out Die Laughing's Myspace page by clicking here, and check out Life's Torment Myspace page by clicking here, and last but not least, check out Sheep On A Cliff by clicking here to go to their Myspace page. 3 good bands worthy of supporting, regardless if they're Locals or not. You should befriend them all, if you haven't already. And make sure to support Panic Inc. too. They're a real label that actually gets things done, as opposed to all the other Punk "labels" around town... fucking douche bags.

Is it Hockey season yet, because I think I got better things to do than watch my beloved Raiders just go out of their way in finding ways to beat themselves each and every time. We should not of lost to the Cardinals, and we should not of lost to the Texans, plain and simple. And with injuries just killing us left and right, I think it's a pretty sure bet that the Chargers are going to anally rape us next Sunday, no doubt about it. Anyone wanna jam that day? LOL

Happy Birthday to Spaz from Monster Zero. He turns approximately 2300 years old today, which is pretty good for a creature such as him. He doesn't look a day over 1750, tops.

Anyways, there's tons of gigs happening this week, like that Nails gig @ Yayo Taco on Thursday, and, of course, the Punk Rock weekend thing happening @ Area 702. I think a certain shitty band is no longer playing that gig, so I'll probably be there. Plus I think I'm supposed to go to a certain special wedding this week too. I'll have to look into that and see exactly when it is. I hope some Cure songs will be sung... heh heh heh. Everything's updated. See you around!
