The beauty of re-publishing everything to these new servers is re-reading some of the earlier stuff and going, WTF was I thinking? LOL It's also a fun trip down memory lane filled with good times and good friends, some of them still with us, and some of them not. It's funny how Life takes us in the directions it does. When I read those early Idle Gossip postings and Show Reviews that I did, I utterly failed at transcribing what a great feeling it all was, hanging out with your friends, doing stuff together, the camaraderie, the fun times, all of that. I wish I would of written more. I wish I would of went into great detail about everything I saw, was involved with, whatever. Failed opportunities. Whatever. All the early Idle Gossip postings are up. Just go under the Archives heading down and to the left of this posting and click on a month / year and voila! You're magically taken to that page! Isn't technology wonderful? Read them if you are so inclined. The first Show Review I ever did for this website was for the Dirty Babies / The Loud Pipes / Hank Musgrove & The Mother Fucking Maniacs / Back And To The Left @ The Skillet Cafe, and you can click here to read that one. There's nothing written about the Loud Pipes in it, because I wasn't yet comfortable giving comment on our performances. Boy, did that quickly change. :-) The next 2 Show Reviews happened back to back on my Birthday weekend, and those were the Circle Jerks / G.B.H. / Toxic Narcotic / The Daycare Swindlers @ The Huntridge Theater gig (which you can read by clicking here) and the Agent Orange / Ill Repute / Hollywood Hate / The Bad Samaritans / Lust / Thunderfist @ The Cooler Lounge gig, which might have been for an early incantation of Punk Rock Bowling, but I'm not sure. Click here to read that one. They're short, nothing like the Raga's I post now. ;-) Last but not least, the Show Review of the Hank Musgrove & The Mother Fucking Maniacs / In Control / Panda Blaster / P.S.T. @ The Hammer House gig, which you can read by clicking here. Ahhhh memories, you gotta love them.

I'm also finding and re-formatting all sorts of old pictures, some of which I found on the Internet, because I lost the originals years and years ago! Working with the new website format is just a dream to post photos with. You can add captions to them as well, which I find really neat. Read my smart alack remarks while browsing the pictures! LOL First ones to get the new treatment were the Pictures of Ainjil's Birthday Party @ Last Chance Tattoo. Click here to check them out. Anything involving Booze, Cake and Silly String is something I have to be a part of! LOL More photos will be given the treatment soon. I'm jazzed on doing stuff for the website again. :-)

I got this from Jason of the Mapes, who posted it on his Facebook page. As if you needed more of a reason to attend First Friday, right? LOL If you're going you might wanna check this out.

Drink enough free beer and you too can fly just like these guys!!
Free beer tasting! 25 cent comic books! Guess where I'll be before the Black Fag gig? LOL The Mapes are playing Boomer's the same night, and I wish I could be there, but... well, you know. :-) It sucks that I have to make a choice, but I've been in contact with Black Fag's singer Liberace Morris himself, who tells me that he won't even take the stage if he doesn't see me front and center with my camera in my hand, so, it's like, I gotta be there! LOL The Mapes will play again somewhere soon (I hope), and I will see them then, because I'm badly in need of a Mapes fix, but who knows when, or even if,  Black Fag will come back to Vegas? LOL This could be the performance that permanently bans them from ever playing our city again. See ya there!

I've been thinking lately... and this is not a good thing. I'm hearing all sorts of bad things about me... about the band... and I'm always the one to take things with a pound of salt, but one night I was thinking, what if I took all this critique seriously? I mean, I know my web site isn't the best it could be, and I could give you lots of reasons why it isn't, but who cares? I like to think that my site gives you a bit of an insight on what being in The Loud Pipes is all about, and I try to make it a fun read for everyone, but it isn't easy doing a web site (ask Roxie about that one), but as long as it's fun I'll keep on doing it. And as far as people talking shit about the band, well, jealousy is a mother fucker. And I don't mean that in the egotistical / revenge sort of way, I just mean that we put A LOT of hard work into this band thingy, and you either dig it or you don't. I don't care if you think we're rock stars, cuz our true friends know that we aren't. We do a lot to keep this scene going, and if our help isn't appreciated, then I guess we'll just go along our merry way. And as for the personal attacks against me, well, you must of mistaken me for someone that gives a fuck. I don't care what certain people think about me. Could I interest you in a cup of SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY !!! Whats amazing to me is the fact that shit talkers try to get my own friends to turn against me... it's fucking incredible. Some people need to get a life already. OK, my tirade is over, let me tell ya whats going on band wise.

The show with The Business is official... Danny from Skate City called last night in the middle of our 420 Party with Leena to tell us this. The 7" is almost finished and is sounding amazing. Tony laid the vocal tracks down no problemo, and you people are gonna fucking love it! He is The Prince Of Pinche Darkness, ya know? The final mix is happening this week, and after that we'll be one step closer to getting this record in yer grubby little hands. I think the City Life is gonna be running that piece on us real soon, since we sent them some of those amazing pictures that Joe Trevino took of us. The "Monster Face" picture is my favorite, and I hope that's the one they use. Did anybody see that shit that was in The Weekly... the Top 10 CD sales thing? Christopher Shakes - Boozed Up At Work... Hank Musgrove & The Mother Fucking Maniacs - Reunion Tour... I was laughing my ass off. Damn you Frank! lol Anyways, I'm tired, and hung over from 420... as always, the Gigs page is updated, I posted all of this years Idle Gossip rantings, so go check them out if you're really really bored. I'll see you all somewhere.
