It's too late for this announcement to mean anything, but Deadhand will NOT be playing @ the Bunkhouse tonight, due to unforeseeable reasons. This sux because I was seriously planning on going down there to get my fix on from them sexy beasts in that band. They were playing with Burning Agrestic, who are a good band, but just not good enough to get me to go downtown on a Sat. night. Phooey. Now I got nothing to do. I'm not going to Club Scarlett, and I'm definitely not going to the Double Clown. But then Roxie sends me a text saying that Union 13 (from East Los) was playing tonight. I suddenly got hyped, but just as quickly it went away once I saw who they were playing with. Ugh!
This is the flyer she sent me for the gig. No offense, but can you believe this shit? It clearly looks like Union 13 got added to an already established bill of mediocrity, which is something that Favorite's is notoriously known for; adding too many bands to one gig, and add this to the fact that that fucking place never promotes any of their gigs or events from like all 3 of their Facebook pages and you can see how I can get pissed about this shit. I love Union 13. I've got everything they've put out, well, everything up to before their original lead singer left, and I've been supporting them since their Boyle Heights / City Terrace backyard party beginnings, but despite all that, I don't love them enough to go see them at this gig. I couldn't stand through the opening bands suckiness and low energy levels, even though Fuzz So Low is pretty good, but not on a bill like this. Union 13 needs a good line up of angry Punk bands to play with, not a line up of a bunch of bands compromised of mature Musicians showing off their chops. Oh well. Better luck next time. I messaged the band on Facebook, telling them if they wanted a good gig to hit me up. I'm hoping they take me up on the offer. Anyways, everything is updated. I just added a Gig Review from the Legendary Karl Bakla, a review for the Generators / Guilty By Association / Battle Born / The Seriouslys gig he went to a few weeks back, and you can go here to check it out. I also added some of the photos I took at the LVCS a while back, photos of CH3 and the Hard Pipe Hitters, and you can go here to check out the photos of CH3, and you can click here to see the pictures of the Hard Pipe Hitters, or you can just go to the Pictures page and seek them out yourself; either / or. I'll leave you with a video I took that night of the Tinglerz playing a damn catchy song that I don't know the name of. It's Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow and I could give a shit less. East Coast Rap Thug Mentality vs. West Coast Rap Thug Mentality. They can both suck it as far as I'm concerned.
What a fantastic weekend. Friday night at the Copa was for the girlfriends. <3The only thing I have to say about yesterday's Raiders game can be found here: Fire Greg Knapp Facebook page. What a fucking farce. Saturday night's Unfair Fight EP release show was a huge success. A nice assemblage of Local talent were in attendance to observe the band just slay everyone in the place with one mighty swoop of their musical axes, with Liz punctuating the perfect ending to their set by smashing her pink bass into pieces on the concrete floor, but not before she smashed up a huge TV set that was set up directly in front of the band. It was stenciled with some Punk Rock sloganeering, and the guys in the band were using it as a pulpit of sorts to elevate themselves and to better reach the crowd. Unfair Fight had the crowd eating out of the palms of their hands from the first note on, and at one point in their set they had the cutest, pull-at-you-heart-strings-adorable moment of little kids that were like 10 and under, and they were circle pitting screaming their heads off and causing havoc, all with tremendous smiles on their faces. I would of loved to have gotten a photo of it, but my camera crapped out a few songs into their set, but that was OK because it allowed me to just lay back and enjoy the music, and man did they sound great! Liz is a perfect fit and the band was playing a shitload of new material, starting off their set with all 3 songs from their brand new release called We Are The Dead. They also did some covers, and I'm not sure but I think I heard them play some Give 'Em Hell songs - Nice! :-) It was an amazing set from Unfair Fight and if you weren't there you blew it big time. Show Review to follow forthwith. Everything is updated and new stuff added. Karl Bakla wrote a Show Review for the Cobra Skulls, Holding Onto Sound, The People's Whiskey and The Seriouslys gig @ the Bunkhouse last week, and you can click here to check that out. I also just added those Pictures I took of Battle Born playing Favorite's a few weeks back, and you can click here to check those out. Rise Against and The Gaslight Anthem are playing tonight. Look for them to be doing an acoustic set soon on that other 'Punk' website. ;-) Big Red has a gig going on tomorrow night @ Yayo Taco featuring Inter Arma (click here for their Facebook page), Lotus, Toxic Artillery and Morbid Faith, so if you're looking for something to do on Tuesday check that shit out. Or go Downtown and be a Hipster Dooshbag, what do I care? On Weds. The Swamp Gospel is playing with the Johnson Creek Stranglers @ the Bikini Bar, so I might go check that out, since it's right down the street from me. And then, of course, on Saturday, it's the big Guttermouth, Queers, Guilty By Association, Surrounded By Thieves, Happy Campers, Hard Pipe Hitters, Grocery Store Rejects and Lambs To Lions gig @ the Bunkhouse. 3 of those bands don't belong on that bill, and I'll leave it up to you to figure out which ones they are. ;-) Monica and I will be in attendance at that gig, looking to make our ex's feel awkward by our very presence there so please, if any of you psycho ex's see us there, please entertain the notion of coming up to either one of us and trying to engage in an exchange of witty barbs because you know we both love that oh so very much! hahaha Yeah, it's gonna be a good week...
Oh what a weekend! My liver hurts - literally! ha ha ha It was nice waking up and making coffee for someone in the morning again. Haven't done it in a long time. It felt good. :-) And oh, silly Facebook drama, you're not getting anywhere near me! I really don't care what you say or do, and you don't have to de-friend me before you talk shit about me. That's just chickenshit. If you say it, mean it, and have the balls to stand behind it. Losers. Ha ha ha ha I was having waaaayyyy too much fun this weekend to let anything bother me. Jane's Addiction on Fri., which was fucking HORRIBLE! Man that band just needs to give it up. That place sucks as a venue too. The sound was good, nice layout to see bands at, but it's sterile and promotes douchebaggery. At least it did on Fri. anyways. Phooey. And I didn't make it out to any of the PRIDE celebrations either, which sucked, because it sure did look like fun. Probably too much fun for a bitter, old homophobic poseur like myself though. ;-)
Sat. I played a gig @ the Bikini Bar that was pretty fucking fun. Every band that played was a wee bit drunk and definitely a little bit off their game, but sometimes that just makes things more interesting, like it did on Sat. The Dirty Panties probably played the best set of all the bands, which I guess is expected because they're a 'signed' band... LOL Plus I only say that because I can't say that our set kicked the most ass, even though it did. ;-) Yeah, The People's Whiskey played a pretty rollicking set, taking a while to get locked into their groove and flubbing up on of my favorite songs by them (Pills) but making up for it with the new songs they played, which sounded amazing-incredible. Lose that gawd awful La Bamba intro to that one new song though... heh heh And Surrounded By Thieves powered through their set without lead guitar slinger Andy because he was off becoming a first time Daddy to a beautiful baby boy! Awwwwwww!! Congratulations Sir! I hope that your first child, be a masculine child. ;-) hahaha Again, it was a great night that, for me, didn't end until the damn sun was up and irritating me from high in the sky. Nice. Last nights gig @ the Bunkhouse was interesting, to say the least. The Hard Pipe Hitters didn't play, which was a bit of a bummer because I was looking forward to seeing those dudes play, and the Quitters played without their bass player because apparently he's a sissy girly man who would rather do stuff with his girlfriend than play a gig with his friends. Da Gheyz. Phooey. It was cool that they played without him though. That band is so good it's nauseating, even without a bass player. The Vermin were spot on though, reaching a bit back into the vaults and playing some stuff that even they admitted they hadn't played in a while, like that song Pick A Sin. Good call on that one. I missed a lot of their set because I was out side partaking in illegal substances with a lot of my Friends who were in attendance. This Jack Grisham's Lost Soul thing brought out a lot of Local Scenesters, Hipsters and Weirdos, including some chick with a tattooed glow in the dark vagina that she took great pleasure in showing anyone and everyone that wanted to see it. At one point she was using her iPhone to videotape the band playing Code Blue and her vagina thrusting in time to the music. Weird. And yeah, Jack Grisham's Lost Soul played quite a few tasty T.S.O.L. tidbits, and even had Mike Roche come up and play World War III with them, which just made the crowd go nuts. The turnout wasn't great, which didn't make Pulsar happy unfortunately, but the intimate gathering was cool. Jack told lots of funny stories about stuff like jacking off into socks in the tour van and the Do's and Do Not's of Forced Analingus. Go Deep. Go Hard. Go Fast. His words not mine... LOL If it wasn't for the T.S.O.L. stuff they played, I would of been bored to tears. I would of rather of heard a bit more obscure stuff like Fuck You Tough Guy And Sodomy as opposed to Dance With Me or Code Blue, which Jack related to Sammy Davis Jr. singing Candyman. Yeah, Code Blue is Jack Grisham's Candyman. Yeah, again, just a fucking fun night out with a bunch of cool peeps, including April, who drove all the way in from AZ. just to see the gig! :-)
OK, it's Monday, and Grosse Pointe Blank is about to begin, followed by Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. Sounds like a good day to just sit on the couch and relax before tonight's Raiders game. It's gonna be a slaughter. Party at Casa de Amoroso for those in the know. See ya there!
This is definitely going to be one of those, 'too much to say so I'm saying nothing' posts. My trip to California was extraordinary. The Pow Wow was even better than I could of imagined, and the Spiritual cleansing I was searching for was definitely found on top of the hill in a grove of tall oak trees. I went to the secret waterfall too, which was amazing. I haven't been there in years, and I was definitely having some major deja-vu moments there, I can tell ya! I also did some sightseeing, shopping, took care of some medical stuff, blah blah blah I got a bit of great news though, which was a long time coming, but that was counterbalanced by 3 chunks of bad news that I didn't see coming. I can't catch a break I swear. LOL Whatever. Just another obstacle to overcome in my quest for world domination. I need a Brain though. Being Pinky by yourself is no fun.
I just commented on this Facebook phenomenon where I logged on today after being away for a while and on Sept. 5th, 2012, 4 of my friends went from 'being in a relationship' to 'single', and one idiot went from being 'single' to 'being in a relationship'. What? Did you guys all get together and decide to do this all at once, or is it a weird coincidence? ha ha ha Relationship Status Day Holocaust!! OUCH!!
Yayo Taco, the Rattus gig, booooooooooooooo. Yeah, I heard all about it. So is this the end of that venerable All Ages joint? I hope not. I didn't support every gig that went on there, but I definitely support their right to throw them. And plus, if Yayo Taco stays closed, then where are the bands gonna play? Yeah exactly. I was gonna go by there this afternoon to see if it really was closed or not, but I blew it off, meaning I got too buzzed and forgot. I got too much stuff to do anyways. So yeah, I'm back, bigger and better than ever, and ready to get shit done. Starting with the gig going down this Sat. @ the Bikini Bar. A shitload (meaning 4) Local bands all playing in the same place on a Saturday night - Dirty Panties, Surrounded By Thieves, The People's Whiskey and me and the boys in Aluminum Falcon. That's a pretty good representation of what the Local scene has to offer. You just know that shenanigans will ensue. You know that some shit is going to be talked, and you know that some asses will be rocked, so stop on by, if you're not too broke from the Jane's Addiction gig @ the Cosmo the night before that is. The gig at the Bikini Bar should be a very interesting time, that's for sure.
Oh shit - I forgot about that Jack Grisham's Lost Soul thing going on Sunday @ the Bunkhouse. Palo from S.F.T., 1/2 Ast and a bunch more Local bands was just asking me what was going on Downtown this weekend and this gig popped into my head. I don't know what it's all about, and I don't know why it's on a Sunday but it should be interesting nevertheless, especially the turnout. Who comes out on a Sunday night to hear T.S.O.L. and Joykiller songs? LOL Me and hopefully a few others! Will we hear some Cathedral Of Tears or Tender Fury songs as well? hahaha Not bloody likely, but still, it should be fun. What else are ya gonna do on a Sunday? Stay home and watch Simpsons and Family Guy? Fuck that. That's what DVR was invented for, although, that Robot Chicken DC Comics Special airing Sunday looks funny as fuck, but I digress. The Vermin, Quitters and Hard Pipe Hitters are opening and again, this is a pretty good representation of some great Local bands. It's gonna be fun - hopefully no Drama, OK? ;-) I'm gonna be there, and you should be there too. Even you. Yeah you, the one with no school the next day and the 18 year old boyfriend... ha ha ha If it's not on Facebook then it's not True Yaaaahhh... ha ha ha
It's very rare that I do this, but I just had to rush these fantastic Fat Dukes Of Fuck photos up to the website, just to try to illustrate what a great performance they put on this past Saturday @ Motor City Cafe. They were beyond outlandish, putting on an interactive display of toilet paper flinging lessons that had everyone in the place getting into what they were doing. Totally original set and really great to see. Musically they're in the vein of bands like the Melvins, Crowbar, and maybe even Buzzoven, and the Enthusiasm and Lunacy the band displays is both contagious and entertaining. Everyone was having a great time, and the music was really, really good. Holy fuck did I love watching the Fat Dukes Of Fuck mess up the Motor City Cafe. That was some pretty gnarly shit. Click here to check out the photos, or just click on the Pictures tab near the top of the page. Either or. It's a Monday, and when I checked the ol' website email I found another Show Review from Karl Bakla in there! :-) If this keeps up it may add a shred of Dignity and Relevancy to this website! LOL The write up is for a gig with the Street Eaters, the Mapes, Time Crashers and the Hard Pipe Hitters, and you can read all about it by clicking right here. And for the record, I don't have a problem with the Hard Pipe Hitters. They got rid of that idiot from Infestshit, so they're now cool with me. I can support them guilt free. Now if only some other bands here in town would follow suit... Speaking of guilt - I heard Guilty By Association killed it on Saturday @ the Double Clown. That's fucking cool. And they even played some new songs, which is scary! LOL And everybody loved the White Kaps, but how could you not? They're a great band that I've been into since we were both playing that La Habra backyard keg party scene waaaaaaaaaaaayyy back in the days. Riots galore and fun times for all. I hope if and when the White Kaps come back, they play someplace else, but I doubt it. Phooey.Bunch of new stuff added to the website, like this Music Review for the latest release from Thick As Blood (click here to read that) and another on the latest release from Demon Lung called Pareidolia, which is nothing short of amazing. Click here to read that. I also added the American Buckshot Delightful demo to the Tunes page, to get you hyped up on our upcoming gig this Friday, and you can click here to check that out. Listen to it, download it, enjoy it, whatever. Everything is updated. I got a Teeter Hang Ups inversion table to check out today. ;-) Enjoy!
First off, you can go to this gig tonight: The Mentors @ the Cheyenne Saloon
And tomorrow night you can go to any one of these gigs, the Flatliners with the Hard Pipe Hitters @ the Box Office, Deadhand playing that Nirvana tribute show @ the Royal House, or TheCore playing @ the Double Clown.
And then on Saturday you can venture out to Hendertucky if you're feeling brave, because the Aquabats are pretty sick, and the Voodoo Glow Skulls are always amazing, or you can go Downtown to see Pigasus and Dude City. If you ask me, the only place to be is the Bar & Bistro for Bobby Frank's Birthday get together, but I'm a little biased in that appraisal. :-)
Yeah, busy weekend planned. Hope to see you all somewhere. :-)
Fuck you Texas de Brazil!! LOL
After driving around for about 40 minutes, up and down Las Vegas Blvd. and Sunset, and missing the majority of the Sharks / Blues game, I finally gave up on finding the place and headed Home. I was supposed to meet everyone up there for Jack from Pigasus' Birthday party, and I purposefully avoided eating all day just so I could scarf down once I got there, but alas, apparently it was not meant to be, as I just ended up grabbing a shitload of grub from Felipilito's and raced Home to watch the Sharks lose 2-1. It's over Johnny. Fire Wilson. Trade Marleau. Clean all the old crap out of the system and start anew. Such a fucking disappointment. Ugh. Oh well. Better Luck next year boys. Enjoy your tee off times during the Summer.
I think I joined another band... LOL My weekend is booked solid with band rehearsals. I need to start learning how to say 'No'... LOL
Dude! It's 420 tomorrow, which means absolutely fuck all to anyone but the pot smoking Hippies and those who emulate said ignorant lifestyle, but, there's lots of ridiculously stupid marijuana themed gigs going on this weekend, including one gig where they're gonna be raffling off a half an ounce of weed. Lots of places are giving away brownies (wink wink) and various paraphernalia which will get you arrested for a Felony if you're caught with said contraband on your person, so be careful or best yet, just avoid the whole thing altogether and stay away from those gigs. After all, if you have to give away free weed and drugs to get people to come to your gigs, well that doesn't say too much about your band now does it? ;-) The only thing worth doing is heading down to Yayo Taco to help Demon Lung celebrate their CD release. The EP is called Pareidolia, and it will be available for your stoned purchasing pleasure at the gig. Support provided by Dead Neon and a few other bands. Click on the flyer below for all the info.
Or, if you're really feeling brave, head out to Hendertucky and see The People's Whiskey play at the Gold Mine Tavern. The jails in Henderson are much better, with tastier food and a much better clientele of criminals in there. Believe me, I know. ;-) Or you could go see Unfair Fight and the Hard Pipe Hitters fuck shit up @ the Cheyenne Saloon. Either or. Do something on 420 besides revel in the ignorance of the holiday. For those of us who smoke weed everyday, 420 is a day the amateurs come out of the woodwork to prove how down they are, sort of like how everyone turns Irish on St. Patrick's Day, but lamer. And gheyer, if that's possible. ;-)
I am soooooooooo in Love with Squeeze right now - even more than I ever was, if that's possible. They were incredible last night, basically playing everything from the Singles - 45's And Under release, with a few obscure songs that were definitely treats for us fans, stuff like In Quintessence, If I Didn't Love You, Heaven and Bang Bang from their very first album. My fucking jaw dropped as I haven't heard them play that song in like 30 years. Fucking Wow!!! In the early days, sure, but now, not really, as the band pretty much sticks to a give-the-people-what-they-want aspect of playing the Hits, although the band gets to stretch it's musical muscle on some newer, latter day material that's almost jam band, Rolling Stones like shit, but I forgave them for that little hippy-ish indiscretion. The crowd was tame, but the waitress service was fun, with the old folks in the crowd standing in nicely organized rows, allowing the waitresses to keep bringing me those splendid 32oz. drafts without any trouble. The more I drank, the better the band sounded. Go figure, right? ha ha ha There I was, a big dude in a Sharks jersey, jumping around and rocking out to Squeeze, singing along to almost every gawd damn song they played and just having the time of my Life in a crowd where there was seriously no one under the age of 30 in the place. Ha Ha Ha Ha I did not give a FUCK because sometimes it's good to be an old dude because you can appreciate the songwriting Genius of Mr's Difford and Tilbrook and the Music that they have created. The band was incredible. It was the same line up of players that I saw when Squeeze played the Crown Theater inside the Rio a few years ago (click here to see the photos I took that night) and like a fine wine, they've only gotten better with age. <3 Gawd damn do I love me some Squeeze. I bought all kinds of swag as I left the place. It was gaudy and all over-priced and I didn't care. :-) Right before the gig I was watching the live feed on YouTube of Coachella 2012, and I gotta say, it was pretty sweet. I watched Jimmy Cliff's set, which was fantastic, despite the presence of that dooshbag Tim Armstrong in Mr. Cliff's backing band. It took me a while to recognize that Jimmy Cliff was doing a Rancid cover, but once I did... BARF!! ha ha ha I Can See Clearly Now was great, with the storm clouds off in the distance over the mountains, and, of course, The Harder They Fall, which is a Spiritual fucking classic. The set ended too quickly for me. The crowd seemed to dig it though, so that was good. And then came Madness. They sounded a bit ruff during the opener One Step Beyond, and they were missing Bedders on bass, but I gotta say, they sounded GREAT!! Suggs voice was in fine form, Woody is always on the beat, Chrissy Boy was playing Johnny Thunders riffs in between songs, Mike was pounding the keyboards in the back and Lee is just a madman, coming out dressed like some Chinese citizen from 1792 and just acting like the lunatic that he is, jumping around and up on the monitors, and mugging for the camera whenever possible. Best line of the night came from Chas, who said "I'm too old for this shit." LOL Second best was Lee asking the crowd "Does anyone have any drugs?" ;-) The highlight of the set was when they did Night Boat To Cairo, with the dual horn intro that sounded SICK, and that fucking crazy kid in the audience who was dressed up like the band were in the video for the song, crowd surfing with the biggest smile on his face while Madness played. That's what going to gigs is all about - having FUN!!! Oh my gawd I cannot wait to see Madness tonight. <3 If you're not going to the Madness gig tonight (I can't imagine why you're not though) there's other stuff going on. I had the date wrong about the Seriouslys gig @ the Motor City Cafe. It's tonight, not yesterday. If you're not going to that you should go to the Ignite / Guilty By Association / The Happy Campers / N.E. Last Words gig at the Aruba. Deadhand dropped off the gig because they don't do Pay to Play. Good for them. I couldn't be prouder. :-) And oh, I lost that video I shot of them doing Singing For You @ the Double Clown on Thurs. My iPhone took a shit, and when I took it down to the Apple store for them to fix it, they said they didn't know what was wrong with it, because it didn't show any signs of abuse/damage. It just couldn't be accessed, so I lost everything on it. Oh well. I got a brand new iPhone out of it, which will be majorly used tonight at Madness. I got Pigasus practice beforehand, so I'm gonna go try and get some sleep. These past few days have been AMAZING, and tonight is just going to be the capper of it all. It's always good seeing your old Friends. :-) Have a great weekend everyone. I know I am! Oh, and go see The People's Whiskey and the Hard Pipe Hitters tomorrow night @ the Bunkhouse!
So I get this call at like 3 in the morning from a really good friend of mine, who was a bit shaken up after dealing with the Police and Paramedics. Her boyfriend had just beaten her up pretty badly, and she was in a bit of a state of shock. She said she called me because she knew I would be up at that time in the morning. I talked her off the ledge she was on, calming her down and assuring her that everything was going to be OK, and just did my best to be there for her in her time of need. Catch me on a good day and I'm the greatest guy in the world. Catch me on a bad day and apparently I'm an asshole - or a prophet. ;-)
Is it Thursday yet? LOL I'm anxiously awaiting Game 1 of the Playoffs and to see Deadhand. :-) They're playing that crazy ass Ignite gig this Saturday, but I can't go to that gig because I'm gonna be at Madness that night, so I'm gonna sneak into the Double Clown tomorrow and see them and then get the Hell out of that sullied establishment. After all, I can't have my stellar reputation degenerate any lower than it already is, now can I?
Yeah, I'm totally gheying out on my 80's weekend but I don't care. There is other stuff going on, like this cool Seriouslys gig @ the Motor City Cafe on Friday night, and, yeah, like I said earlier, that Ignite gig on Saturday. Guilty By Association, the Happy Campers and Deadhand are opening. That gig is gonna be FUN! Steel Pulse is playing the Silverton on Sat. too. Man I'd love to see them, but I got a better chance of seeing them again sometime soon than I do of seeing Madness here ever again. Wasn't the last time in 1998 @ the Texas?? I know I was there... sort of... ha ha ha Whatever. There's that interesting gig @ the Bunkhouse on Sunday with The People's Whiskey, Holding Onto Sound, the Hard Pipe Hitters and some band called The Horn Prayer from Colorado. I just might check that out. :-) Anyways, everything is updated. Pictures of Nests @ the Arts Factory and The People's Whiskey @ the Motor City Cafe were just added. Click here and here to check those out. The weather has been beautiful as of late. It's Springtime. Time to start planning road trips, right? Right!
Ace Frehley is coming to the Santa Fe Station Casino in February!! HYPED!!! <3
Yeah, I didn't go to any of the Gigs I was hyping up last week. It wasn't that I flaked, per se, but I just chose to spend my time this weekend with the most Beautiful, Awesomest girl EVER, so yeah, sorry to all the Bands I was supposed to Interview and hang out with. Trust me when I tell you this that as much as I love going to Gigs, I love hanging with this chick even more, so I'll probably have to cut down on my going out on the weekends. Maybe. ;-)
Yeah, my fucking Raiders choked on the big one yesterday, losing a real winnable game against the Miami Dolphins, and I didn't even give a fuck. Hanging out with Her all night was worth everything. Sharks choked this weekend too, giving away an easy 2 points to Florida. Bad weekend for my Sports teams, but no matter what, I still laugh at the Anaheim Schmucks firing their Coach last week... ha ha ha ha
Speaking of stuff I'm laughing about, what happened to Roid Rage playing that Verbal Abuse gig? I guess Promoters here in town don't realize that Roid Rage have a notorious problem of booking gigs and then cancelling, but I'm not even sure if that's the case here - it's just my assumption. The Hard Pipe Hitters took over the Opening Slot and definitely made it a better gig because of it. Once those guys ditched that asshole from Infestshit, they instantly became a band worth supporting - go figure! LOL So how was the gig anyways? Did anyone go? I know I didn't. I was drained from the weekend, and it didn't help that I twisted my knee at Del Taco... heh heh How were any of the gigs that happened this weekend? Anyone?
Well, there's some cool Shows and Concerts coming up this week, like Jane's Addiction @ the Joint, but I'm not going to any of them. I have some surgery scheduled this week, and I'm kind of nervous about it but not really. Doctor's seem optimistic about it, so there's no reason why I shouldn't be, ya know? It was caught early enough and hopefully this will take care of it and I'll never have to deal with this ever again. It really fucked my head up something fierce, but thanks to my Friends and Family I was able to get through this with a generally cheery disposition. It was a false front, but I didn't wanna let too many people know about what I was going through. I'm stubborn like that. ;-) So anyways, I won't be back around until Friday, so things will slow down here for a week or so. December is generally a really bad month for me, but I'm gonna try to get through it like I always do by putting on the best fake front you've ever seen. It always works and rarely do people notice, which is how I like it.
See ya around somewhere. :=)
