Evil, Sado-masochistic clowns abusing animals... penises on the bodies of geese... ice cream and cake... and 2 kick ass bands. Where else are you going to be tonight? The Copa Room? Double Clown?? Fuck that! Get your ass to the Motor City cafe to see the Fat Dukes Of Fuck and the Civilians!! :-) Add Comment Well, that was an interesting weekend - Again. :-) I've been having the most random conversations with various people all about town, on the phone, on Facebook, whatever, and it's helping me out in all sorts of ways. From the amazing drag queens who work at Drink & Drag, and my 'high' ranking Promoter friends in CA., and the Tools at the Beauty Bar who talk too much, to the really nice people out in Hendertucky who came out to the gig I played, it's just been a bit of an eye opener about how things are and how they are perceived. Very interesting stuff indeed. I've been catching up on my website shit, adding up some photos I took while in Colorado and Utah, as well as the Pictures that Bob took of Guilty By Association playing in CO. (which you can see by clicking here), and there's a bunch more stuff to be added on this week. Speaking of Colorado, here's a video I took of this band called Salt who played @ the Lion's Lair with us when we were up there. They are some really cool kids, and their Grunge heavy sound was an unexpected surprise to hear. Check them out and become their Friend on Facebook by clicking here. Davy, Walter, looking forward to seeing you guys here in Vegas real soon! And as much as I'd like to publicly comment on those interesting conversations I've been having as of late, I'm not going to. All I will say about them is that I know what you did, or tried to do, and I'm not even mad. Matter of fact, it just confirms to me what an ass kissing piece of shit you are. Your shows suck, and your websites are pathetic. Pull your tongue out of your boyfriends ass and quit trying to throw me under the bus. It's a small world my friend, and our paths do cross from time to time, and you know that. Seeing me face to face might not be in your best interests. I'm not as nice of a guy in real Life as I am on the Internet... heh heh heh Everything is updated. Continue on Bohemian Summer! <3 I really don't think I can do it. I really can't. There was just too much fun stuff going on this past weekend for me to even compute what all happened and how fun it was! LOL From running into supposed 'mortal enemies' who just came up to me and were like 'Hey Gilby - what's up?', to making people run away from where I was at and hide from me (seriously, WTF???), the oriental Angel that fell from Heaven right into my lap @ Carl's Jr. (ask Bob about that one), and oh, the people who tip toed around me and acted like I wasn't even there, acted like they didn't even see me, that was the funniest shit of them all. Yeah. There was Music involved this weekend too, with me catching a fantastic set from D.I. @ the Aruba on Sat. night, and also that opening band Kids On Fire were fucking cool too. I think they're from Seattle, check them out. Death By Stereo were pretty sick as well, and I watched their set from the backstage area while breaking my kit down. I saw a few of the Mapes at the Aruba as well, checking out the Maxies, who everybody told me were really good. Coming all that way from Iceland, CA., they better be! ;-) Oh, and that band Trash Monsters, from CA., total ass clowns. They fucking sucked big time. I played 2 gigs this weekend with Guilty By Association, and I think I did OK. At least that's what people told me anyways... heh. I was totally spazzing out about playing the songs right and at the right tempo, but the important people who know the bands songs said we sounded great, so I felt pretty good about it all once things were said and done. Again, don't ask me because I don't know what my status with the band is. Mike told the crowd at the Aruba that I was filling in, so whatever. At both gigs I couldn't hear shit, couldn't see shit, and was totally floundering like a fish out of water trying to play everything correctly. I did the best I could. :-) Somebody from the band Break The Cycle filmed us playing at the Double Clown Sun. night, so check it out and see for yourself what we sounded like, and you tell me - is it good? Oh, and I bowled with the Vegascendents this year too, and we made it to the 2nd round, which is pretty rad for a team's first year. We dragged our sorry asses to the bowling alley at 10 in the morning on Sunday, just to lose to some cool team called the Los Angelaskans, who beat us by like, a zillion pins or so. I was running on absolutely NO sleep and still drunk and stupid. That's my excuse. I can't speak for my Teammates, who went to bed early and were well rested and bowled the worst games of their lives... ha ha ha It was fun and I'm looking forward to not doing it again next year... heh heh Bowling on the other side of us were the Sharp Objects, that band I saw on St. Patrick's Day @ Thee Parkside in San Francisco a few months ago. They had an interesting viewpoint of what went down that night with 'Her' and her drunken, pill'd out 'stupiedity', and after talking to them and hearing them tell me what they saw and heard, I love those guys even more! LOL Yeah, she was there. People saw her. Some of them told me. Some of them didn't. Whatever. Oh, and you know what else some people told me? Lots of Jokers tried telling me how "awesome" and "epic" the bands were this year, and after watching a few videos from pretty much every band that played this year on YouTube, I have to wonder what some of you out there are smoking, and how can I get some of that, because it's better than what I'm smoking, that's for sure! LOL Gawd, the bands were just terrible this year. Rancid blew, as usual. NOFX is just phoning it in at this point and should just give it up already. They were just sad. Oh, it was convenient of them to announce this past Fri. that they will be playing poolside @ the Hard Rock next month. How many of you Local suckers would of bought tickets to see NOFX @ Punk Rock Bowling if you knew they were playing the Hard Rock next month? Probably the same amount but I remain forever optimistic that it's not so. Oh, let's see... the Adicks, well, you've seen them once you've seen them a zillion times - no biggie. Adolescents? I'll see 'em the next time they play here Locally within the next few months or so and without a crowd of drunken tourists and dooshbags all around me. Punk Rock Bowling really has turned into the Viva Rockabilly weekender. It's the same shit but with different music and costumes. Dwarves played without He Who Cannot Be Named, and the video I saw of them looked pretty boring. Plus Blag is a wife stealing dick, so enough said about that band. Youth Brigade was lame. A drunk Shawn Stern is sad to watch. People were raving about the Dickies but I didn't see it. They were OK but I've seen 'em better. And to those of you bitching about the Angry Samoans, didn't you learn your lesson from the last time they played the Beauty Bar? Guess not, but whatever. Pennywise? ha ha ha ha Yeah right! New singer, old singer, they have always sucked. The Generators? Youth of Today? 7 Seconds? The Belltones? STFU with that noise. Those bands all sucked and you know it. Look, it wasn't like there wasn't some cool bands that played some great sets this weekend. Cockney Rejects - AMAZING! They were the only band I was tempted to see this year, but the thought of dealing with the sheep and herd of cattle mentality with the crowd there to see them had me staying as far away as possible. Everyone and their dead Uncle was telling me how incredible Municipal Waste was, but they were just as incredible opening up for Gwar a few months ago @ the Hard Rock cafe. I heard Dr. Know kicked ass, but I knew that when the same reunion with Kyle happened in Ventura last year. Good Riddance I heard were incredible, same with Word Salad, but everyone else? Yawn. And that whole Beard Core thing with the acoustic shows happening is a fucking joke. Acoustic guitars are for Hippies like Jim Croce or John Denver. It's the antithesis of everything Punk is and stands for, and if you like it you're just stupid. And if you went to any of those Beauty Bar shows you're incredibly stupid as well. Matt Skiba is a joke. Tim Berry is a fucking cock smoking fag, and so is Tom Gabel, or Laura Jean Grace, or Crazy Confused Cunt, or whatever it's calling itself these days. I'm sooooooooo sick of hearing about that shit, like it's so revolutionary or original. What? Has no one ever heard of Wayne/Jayne County? Genesis P. Orridge? Yeah, didn't think so. The fact that he announces this in Rolling Stone magazine, which hasn't been relevant since they put Britney Spears on the cover the week that Joe Strummer passed away, shows you that it's all just an attention grab, like a baby that smears shit on itself, looking for someone to acknowledge it. Jan Wenner, the Publisher of Rolling Stone, is a well known Queen, so I hope his panties got all gushy and wet when he heard that Tom Gabel wanted to come out in his magazine. I hope he at least got a blow job from Laura Jean Grace for all this free publicity he gave him, her, it, whatever. It's just stupid. Who fucking cares? Seriously. Male or Female, your music still sucks. And if you think any of that Beard Core shit is relevant than you suck too. This shit has got to go. I fucking hate Hippies, I hate Beards, I hate Acoustic music. Just go die already. Go die. Gawd, I hate that I've wasted this much time and effort on Punk Rock Bowling. I'm gonna go look at some new camera lenses on Amazon to calm myself down. LOL Yeah, Punk Rock Bowling fans, fuck off you Poseurs. Get the fuck out of here. Go back where ya came from! Gee, that sounds so cliched coming from a Native like me. :-) Everything is updated. Yada Yada Yada. I added the Pictures I took of Battle Born @ the Bunkhouse at their CD release party, and you can click here to check those out if you wish. Here's hoping I can get some rest this week, because I could definitely use it. I still never found a masseuse... Shit. In all my spazzing out about Madness I forgot to mention the gheyness of the club shows for Punk Rock Bowling that were just announced last Sunday. How silly of me! Well, where to start? Hmmm... Youth Brigade reunion of all 3 original Stern Bros., ehhhh. Whatever. Last time I saw a reunion of all 3 Stern Bros. it was a drunken mess. Dr. Know reunion with Kyle - that just happened in Ventura a few months ago. Municipal Waste just friggin' played here, same with Agent Orange and the English Beat, and the rest of the bands play here all the time, like the Dwarves or the Adolescents. Good Riddance is cool, but opening up for No Use For A Name? GHEY That line up should definitely be reversed. Union 13, cool, same with the Aggrolites but again, nothing to brag about really. The club shows are just as lame as the big shows, and the scheduling of it all is terrible. You're gonna have to commit to one gig per night really, as trying to bounce from place to place is gonna be a logistical nightmare. Choose wisely and good luck. Unlike a few other jealous assholes that I know, I'm happy that a few Local bands made some of the opening spots. Congratulations to the Vermin, the Seriouslys and the Civilians for representing Vegas in all of this. No offense to you all, but I'm not gonna go see any of the gigs you're playing during PRB weekend. I'd just rather see you when you play your regular gigs here in town when there's a lot less drunken assholes and Poseurs around... heh Hey! Do you have a beard? Do you think Punk music sounds good played through acoustic guitars? Well, if you answered 'Yes' to both of those questions, then do I have a show for you to attend - it's the Punks In Vegas 1 Year Anniversary party being held at Alternate Reality Comics on Maryland / Flamingo tomorrow night. A collection of Local Singer / Songwriters, not quite as rocking as Jim Croce, but a little more rocking than John Denver will be there pulling at your heartstrings with tales of Woe and Love Lost and being unaccepted by Society. Bring your hankies and make sure to Congratulate the bearded clan of Punks In Vegas for doing a job well done and making it for a year. May your next year be just as fruitful as this one was. Cheers! And buy some comics while you're there, you cheap bastards! Band practice as of late has been killing me, but it's coming along nicely. Everything is updated, and everything is great here in Las Vegas. Ya know, I think the reason why something as lame as Punk Rock Bowling thrives here is because all these Tools and Sheep that come here by the plane full and car load are coming here for that Vegas thing, that thing of Debauchery and Drunkenness. It's kind of a cliche, but it's also very true to a certain extent. Those of us that live here get to do the Vegas thing 24-7, for 365 days a year. We're Professionals at this shit! LOL This town is our town. It is so glamorous. I bet you'd live here if you could and be one of us... ;-) Punk Rock Bowling... fuck off. You really and truly reap what you sow. That's why I got nothing but love L-U-V all around me, and that's why others have to hide from the world and try to avoid the harsh words and questions of others and having to explain yourself. Look, just because you've made peace with yourself for your past idiotic drunken druggy actions doesn't mean that everyone else is just supposed to forgive and forget you - oh no. Karma is a mother fucker, or so I've heard, and for what you did, you got loads and loads more bad luck coming to you. Get used to it. :-) Go back to the Rockasilly scene where 2 faced raunch such as yourself thrives and blooms in the bullshit that's prevalent there. Go hide on Google+, stay away from the Drama that is Facebook, or create another Myspace profile like you've been doing as of late. Pathetic. Who the Hell makes a new Myspace profile in this day and age, fer Christ's sake??? LOL Why do people have so many online profiles anyways? I'm assuming it's because they're ashamed of what they are and running away and trying to hide from something they did, or trying to be something that they're not, where nobody knows the real them, but I could be wrong... heh heh. it's not like I haven't seen this exact same behavior before, right? ;-) Good luck with getting healthy and staying away from the bars too. Some people can handle their booze - you can't. Maybe you should consider growing up and taking care of your kids instead of whoring yourself around Viva like you did when you were younger and less responsible. Just a thought? LOL OK, I'm done chastising that cunt publicly. It's like beating up a retard at this point, and she's smart in keeping her profile low and staying away from the public. After all, it's not like I can stand to hear another story from her so-called Friends and Family about what a fuck up she is... ha ha ha Moving on! I will say no more about it or her. Sad to watch but whatever. We all make our own decisions and choices, right? :-) Dude! I fucking slept through going to the recording studio on Monday, as well as the Gwar / Municipal Waste gig that night!! FAWK!! Fucking Heroin is one Hell of a drug! LOL I think I'm giving up on the Aluminum Falcon recording, because it's just turning into a Pennywise record, and my drums sound like shit, despite the input I give, so I'm just gonna let those guys finish it off and be happy about the finished results, no matter how craptacular they are. I'm bummed I missed out on Gwar, and I really wanted Municipal Waste to FUCK ME UP!!, but alas, it was in a proper venue, so I don't know how crazy it could of gotten. I heard it was an amazing gig though from those who went. Damn the hits on the website have been going through the roof as of late. The Cowtown Guitars Grand Re-Opening Party pictures are the most popular page so far this month, with the San Francisco pictures a close second. And I'm always befuddled by what people put into Google to end up here. This Virus Makes Us Human? The Broads Suck? Really? ha ha ha And why have 15 people typed in 'Ashley Sandifer Las Vegas', hmmm? Everything is updated. New Pictures of Internal Corrosion were just posted, and I'll see you at the Double Clown after the Sharks game on Thurs. for that Deadhand gig. You see, I like to check out bands before everyone else does, so that way, when certain people get into that band, telling me who amazing and awesome they are, like, years later, I can laugh at them with an air of arrogance and smugness while saying 'Tell me something I don't know you Poseur!' ha ha ha Deadhand Thursday night, Squeeze on Friday night, and Madness on Saturday. What a fucking treat!! What did I do to get sooooooo gawd damn lucky? Is it my Karma rewarding me for what I've been going through as of late? Probably. Oh wait - I forgot - I don't believe in Karma, because if I did, then bad things would be happening to bad people - Oh wait... ha ha ha ha See you at the gigs! :-) Bad things happen to bad people? I dunno, you tell me... Oh, Praise Allah that the damn Viva thing is over. If I have to see another Punk Rocker turned Fatsy Cline or Betty Fudges with a shitty chest tattoo in a floral print dress with a flower in their hair thinking they're sexy looking I'm gonna puke! LOL All I saw were sheep - sheep being fleeced of their hard earned $$$ at every given opportunity, and loving every minute of it. Just. Fucking. Pathetic. The Anti-Viva thing going on at the Stratosphere was better. Just saying... Friday night was the Grand Re-Opening party for Cowtown Guitars. I wish I could say more about it but I was fucking out if it the whole time there. Thanks to that special someone who hooked me up with those magical brownies, and to Her for all that free Jameson's. She knows what I like, that's for sure. :-) I remember the party was packed, a lot of stuff was being sold, the music was bumping (I heard Black Randy And The Metrosquad being played! <3) and I was chatting with a bunch of people who came down to hang out and eat some cake - cake with black frosting that turned your mouth and lips black when you ate it! LOL It was brilliant! After the cake was sliced up and served to the masses it turned into a Goth party, with everyone walking around looking like they were wearing black lipstick. Cue Bella Lugosi's Dead please. :-) Pictures are coming soon. I stood thisclose to the Publishing Queen of Rock 'N' Roll Sally Steele, from Vegas Rocks! magazine, who kept cutting me off and stepping into my shot while I was trying to take pictures of the ribbon cutting and the cake cutting. I called her a cunt but I don't think she heard me... heh heh Sat. there was a sick ass backyard party with Battle Born, The Fact Remains and the Happy Campers playing, but I stayed Home to watch the Sharks clinch the 7th seed in the West by beating the L.A. Queens 3-2 in overtime. What a shot by Boyle to win it. The Game was beautiful, and the win gave us the St. Louis Blues in the opening round of the playoffs. Bring it!! ha ha ha ha First game is on Thursday. I might go celebrate the victory by seeing Deadhand play @ the Double Down afterwords. :-) Yeah, I love Deadhand sooooooo much I might go see them play at the Double Clown. I needs a fix. I need me some Deadhand. :-) Easter Sunday yesterday was spent with the Family at Casa de Amoroso. The PBR's and Guinness were cold, the prime rib bloody, the potatoes scallopy, and the chocolate plentiful. <3 Chris, and old friend from way, Way, WAY back in the days was in town from India, where he apparently lives now, working for some big gaming corporation here in town. He was in town for business and stopped by for a bit of a chat and a reminiscence or two. Sitting around with everyone, just relaxing, watching the kids running around with the dog being crazy, wallowing in the after glow of an amazing meal, I dunno, it was just a perfect ending to a pretty sweet weekend. I loved it. Pigasus has some upcoming gigs, so I got that practice to deal with this week, and I think Aluminum Falcon is getting closer to finishing up the recording we swore was only going to take 3 days to finish, but I'm not sure. I was going to go to GWAR / Municipal Waste tonight, but I think we're heading to the studio to work on some final mixes, so I might have to miss the gig. Phooey! Thank Gawd Squeeze is on Friday and Madness is on Saturday. I might need them both for a relief this week. If you have Regrets, and they're not your Decision to make, then that's just You not taking Responsibility for your Actions and blaming others for your Mistakes. As usual. ;-) hee hee hee OK, the bad news is that Aluminum Falcon is no longer playing the Cowtown Guitars Grand Re-Opening party going down tonight for First Friday. The reason why is that a special permit is needed for Bands to play, a permit that takes 60 days to go into effect and costs a pretty penny as well, so yeah, no bands playing tonight, but, the good news is, you can still come down and have some beer and cake with everyone and to help celebrate Cowtown's new location and to wish the Amoroso's the best of Luck with this, their new Life changing endeavor. And oh yeah, in case you missed it, Jesse was on Fox 5 News yesterday talking about the whole thing. Here's the video of it. I guess you gotta click on it or something... heh heh So yeah, see ya there tonight. DJ Rex Dart will be spinning tunes, there's a keg of PBR that needs killing, and there's a Les Paul shaped cake!!! <3 The smell of Tres Flores is thick in the air. There's something going on this weekend that involves Dooshbags of both sexes converging somewhere for something, but I can't remember what it is, or why I should care... heh heh heh Yeah, Viva is in town - you've been warned. I'm going to try to avoid that shit like the plague. Check out this cool movie about Bettie Page that's premiering there though. This might be the only reason I go to that damn thing this year. The fucking Blasters are opening up for Tiger Army this Sat. @ the House of Boooooo's, which is a such a travesty it's nauseating. I'd love to see the Blasters but I doubt I'd survive for long in that crowd... heh. Instead, I'll just wait for the almighty Gwar / Municipal Waste gig happening on Monday. That, my friends, is going to be SICK!!! See ya there! |
