And so it begins. :-/

Yeah, Punk Rock Bowling is upon us, and the Drama already begins. I caught a little bit of slack for promoting that F.S.P. gig last night, but I know nothing about any alleged Racism back in the day or about any Racists being in the band, but if that's true, I might have to relegate them to bands that don't deserve to be supported. Anyone know anything about this? Anyone wanna chime in?

Gigs Gigs Gigs Gigs - tonight there's a whole bunch of them happening to choose from. If you don't know about them already, don't look at me for info. It's all on the Gig Calendar page, and you can go there by clicking here and figuring it out yourself. I'm staying in tonight and being a good boy, because I gotta get up early to head out to Sam's Town to bowl with the Vegascendents Team. Lane 1 @ Noon. Come hang! :-)

I think I've converted every page on the website to the new format. I'm constantly adding all sorts of the old material to the website, like Pictures and Show Reviews, and I've added some new stuff too, like the Music Reviews on the latest from Ministry (click here to read that) and Surrounded By Thieves as well - click here to read that. I also added the Pictures I took of them playing @ the Bunkhouse a few weeks ago, and you can go here to check those out. That was a fun night to say the least. The Show Review of that gig is almost done. I'm just waiting to edit those Battle Born photos from that night and it will be done. Oh, I added a Tunes page with stuff to listen to on there, and the first thing I put up on that page was a release from Public Humiliation back in 1988. The album is called It All Started When I Was Five, and you can click here to check that release out. Fans of the Flaming Lips or the Dead Milkmen will like it. Anyways, I'm going to go back to watching Chappelle's Show before calling it a night. Hope to see you at the D.I. gig tomorrow!

I am calling for a Public Ban on Public Bans! ha ha ha Oh Turbo, you's a funny motherfucker you. ;-)

The thing with Favorites was taken care of. All the bands that played last Friday night were paid in full. Those who cancelled at the last minute were ridiculed as the pieces of shit that they are. :-) Nate made everything right. Good for him. There's hope for that place.

Finding out about people you know dying in the pages of Spin magazine is a bit unsettling, to say the least.

Celso Chavez, Possum Dixon Guitarist and Key L.A. Player, Dead at 44

Yeah, I met him through Trash Can School, who were one of the coolest bands to come out of that magical L.A. Scene we were all a part of at one time back in the 90's. He played drums in Black Angels Death Song too, which is what Trash Can School evolved into, but I didn't really dig them. Too Artsy for me. Phooey. Celso was just a really nice guy who died way too young of something which seems so preventable - complications from pneumonia. Who dies of pneumonia nowadays? Fuck. RIP Celso. I'm proud to say you were a Friend of mine. Vaya con Dios Sir.

First off, how AWESOME is this tee shirt? Seriously? :-)
I know... I know. Great color, amazeball graphic, and it was in my size too! <3 I will be sporting this shirt loudly and proudly at all gay themed events I attend and all during the upcoming summer months, because sometimes it's good to wear a color other than black. Only sometimes though. ;-) Yeah, the fucking Battle Born EP release party was pretty fantastic. Just a great vibe in the place, no Drama whatsoever, and every band that played was really good. Battle Born just killed it. Killed it! I fucking Love those guys!  TheCore almost stole the show, Surrounded By Thieves played a great set, and The Fact Remains were pretty good. I dug 'em. I wrote this huge ass diatribe on here about the gig, but I'm gonna make it a Show Review instead, so as soon as I get the pix edited from the night I'll post it up here. It was a cool gig, and if you weren't there you blew it. Make up for that by going to the band's Facebook page by clicking here and buy a copy of their CD if you don't already have one. Oh, and Friend them too while you're there. Their new CD is the tits, that's all I'm saying.

Oh, how I love it when bands who have lost any and all credibility and burned every bridge they possibly could here in this town try to get back together and play some gigs, like anyone gives a fuck about them. Either they can't find new people to play with them in these reunion gigs, or they just book gigs and then cancel at the last minute, which is just pathetic. Do us all a favor, you worthless piece of shit pathetic bands - quit trying to relive your 'glory days', just because your Life is a giant clusterfuck full of disappointment and regrets, you losers you. Go back to abusing the welfare system and polluting the gene pool with your retarded offspring. And take your 'Friends' with you. You should all go fuck off and die together.

The Seriouslys played Favorite's on Friday, and they didn't get paid, which royally sucks ass. Considering that the fine people booking that place are the same people who used to book the Divebar, this little bit of non-payment shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been involved with the music scene here. I hope they make this right and pay the bands what they're due. It would be a bad thing for them not to. It's not like Favorites is drawing them in ya know. Alienating the Bands you rely on to get people into your establishment is never a good thing to do.

Everything is updated. I think I'm gonna go outside for awhile. :-)

I cannot stress enough the awesomeness of this upcoming Battle Born EP release thing happening tomorrow night @ the Bunkhouse. Besides the raison de se réjouir  Battle Born, TheCore are also playing, and I haven't seen them play in years it seems. I hope they play some of that new stuff that Sal let me hear that one night at the Double Clown. It sounded great to me, and I'm sure it will to everyone else who hears it. And Surrounded by Thieves are playing as well, and I'm gonna try to be inside, as opposed to outside, as I apparently am every time the band plays, or whatever it was they were making fun of me for that last time at the Motor City Cafe... LOL It's gonna be a funtastic night to say the least. I may have to pass out in my car for this one. ;-)

Tonight there's a couple of interesting things going on, with the first being this Double Down Radio Mother's Day contest for something, I dunno. I know some pretty rad Punk Rock Moms, but I don;t know if any of them would want to do whatever it takes to win the White Trash Sash but hey - you never know! ;-)
And then after that, head on over to the Bunkhouse to be a part of the Zombie Prom 2012 which, I can tell you from past experiences, is always a fun time - guaranteed. The Fabulous Sin City Roller Girls know how to throw a party, and this one tonight is going to be a rager! Get your ass there and have some fun! There's a discount for Zombies so come prepared.

ha ha ha Was Surrounded By Thieves heckling me from the stage??? Those bastards! LOL

Yeah, I don't know exactly what they were saying about me on stage, but I'm hoping it was all in jest, because if it wasn't, Ohhhhh, I'm gonna get those guys! ;-) But seriously, I was having too much fun just hanging out with everyone who came out to the gig to either see Aluminum Falcon, The People's Whiskey or Surrounded By Thieves, or to hear me dole out details on what happened between Shawna Lynn and me to really pay much attention to what the band was playing... heh heh Sorry guys. Look, I know you all want me to blast her on here, and just do to her what I did to Athena or Debra, but it's not gonna happen. She isn't even worth the effort, and the fact that her name and reputation are now dog shit in this town, I'd prefer to just leave her as the walking dead piece of shit that she is and let her sleep in the mess that she made of her Life. I'm over it. it's done. It's all Comedy to me. And yeah, that thing that happened with her kid could be considered Karma to those of you who believe in that shit. I don't but whatever. Bad things happen to bad people. Sad but true.

What can I say about the gig @ the Motor City Cafe that you probably don't already know? The People's Whiskey just keep on impressing the Hell out of me with their amazing catalog of work, and each set I see them play is different and never boring. They are seriously great and I hope they just keep getting more and more popular here in the City, and that some wise record label swoops them up and gives them a boat load of cash to support their Rock N Roll dreams and wishes. <3 Everybody said that we, Aluminum Falcon, were good, but I don't know what set they were listening to! LOL I never hear anyone else, but I know I kept losing sticks and sucking wind behind the kit, and somebody introducing one of our songs as being about a girl and having her leave you in San Francisco for a dirty squatter punk was not funny, assholes! ha ha ha Everybody had something to say about her, and I heard each and every one of you. Seriously. I wish I could comment on how Surrounded By Thieves sounded, but I was too busy socializing outside with everyone which, according to the band, is where I always end up watching them from. Who knew? LOL

The gig ended early, so we jumped into the Tour Van of Death and headed off to Favorite's, hoping to catch us some Deadhand, Tinglerz or the Black Jetts. We got there long after the bands had finished playing, unfortunately. The Tinglerz were already gone and Deadhand and Roy and Gabe from The Black Jetts were just hanging out in the parking lot. Deadhand had an extremely large butt plug device, pink in color, heavy in weight, among their gear that was sitting on the sidewalk. I wanted badly to ask them why, but I was too scared too... heh heh The Black Jetts didn't even play, because they just lost their bass player Roy, so if any of you bass players out there are looking to join a kick ass Punk Rock And Soul band, please contact the band here or here and be prepared to sell your soul... heh heh We all hung around a bit before calling it a night. Hanging out with your Friends is always fun. It's always a good thing. :-)

Yeah, everything is going awesome right now. Minor speed bumps aside, the ride is smooth, the view - beautiful. Everything's updated. Check out the Pictures I took of the Sharp Objects @ Thee Parkside in San Francisco. This is the band I was watching while the ass clown I was with was getting mad at people bumping into her, and then confronting them by saying 'Do you know who I am? Do you know where I come from?' LOL What the Hell was I thinking?? ;-)

Big hugs and kisses to everyone who came out to Amber Watson's memorial get together @ the Bunkhouse last night. More than enough money was raised to cover all the expenses, which just goes to show you how beloved that girl was to people here in town. The place was packed, the mood a bit somber. The band Stereo High did an excellent job playing for everyone, and they sounded pretty good while doing it. I'd check them out again if the circumstances were different. It was good seeing sooooo many people I haven't seen in ages there, but it sucked that we were gathered together for all the wrong reasons. It was what it was, and I was there, and that's pretty much it. It was a great show of Love for someone who was taken away from us at a much, much too early age, and I can only hope that the rumors aren't true. Death. Phooey.

The night ended up with a group of us heading off to the Artifice, and since we were in the neighborhood, a private after-hours tour of Cowtown Guitars... LOL Jesse & Roxie's new place is fucking magnificent, and conveniently located next to a gay porno shop full of glory holes and desperate men. I mean, that's what I heard anyways. I would never frequent such an establishment. ;-) ha ha ha Congrats to Cowtown Guitars for their new posh digs. The new place is incredible. I can't see anything but a bright and rosy future ahead of them. <3

And I was pretty drunk last night, but I think I joined Pigasus... LOL

Anyways, everything's updated. Aluminum Falcon is playing a gig @ the Motor City Cafe tonight with our good friends Surrounded By Thieves and my 2nd favorite Local band The People's Whiskey, so if you're not going to see The Black Jetts / Deadhand / Tinglerz gig @ Favorites, stop on by and hang out and have a few drinks and socialize. We're going on 2nd, so get there appropriately. It should be a fun time. It usually always is. ;-) See ya there.

Why is it that everything happens gig wise at once here in Vegas? It's either like there's nothing going on, or there's all sorts of shit going on. Ugh! It gets a bit frustrating at times, but I guess that's how it goes. And what's with bands sending me the flyers for their gigs the day before or the day of their gig, asking me to put it up on the website, and then getting pissy at me when I don't. Fuck you! To promote a gig properly, you can't just make a Facebook invite page and spread a flyer around on there. No wonder you guys bitch about how the Scene sucks because there was only 10 people to see you on a Weds. night. Jackasses. Oh well. Anyways, the fun tomorrow is @ First Friday, of course, and that kicks off with the Seriouslys and Stagnetti's Cock playing in the parking lot of Talk Of The Town, my 2nd favorite strip club in town. ;-) What's up with the band Stagnetti's Cock? Why does everyone talk shit about them? And more importantly, why should they care? LOL The flyer says the gig starts @ 10 pm, but I don't know how that's possible, if it's really a First Friday event kind of thing. 10 o'clock is when most things are shutting down, not starting up.
If that gig is not Punk Rock enough for you, then this one definitely should fix that dilemma! LOL Also on Friday night is the 2 year anniversary of Ecophagy Records, a Local D.I.Y. record label / Distro that you should all support and buy stuff from. The people that run that label don't like me, but that doesn't mean I can't give props where props are due. :-) Like I said, they're having their 2 year anniversary party tomorrow @ Yayo Taco and Life's Torment are playing, and a bunch of other bands I know nothing about are playing as well, bands with names like Gravehill, Zoloa and Seas Will Rise. It's also the debut of a Local band called Vihan Rytmi, which is apparently Swedish for "We Kick Ass" or something. The band features Larry from Life's Torment  and Adrian from Alarido, a band that broke up waaaaayyy too soon IMO. If you don't catch Vihan Rytmi @ Yayo Taco, you can catch them and Seas Will Rise and Zoloa playing later on that night @ the Double Down. It's a pretty shitty thing to do, play 2 different gigs on the same day, but since it's the Double Down, who gives a shit, ya know? LOL Fuck that place.
And if this is not enough for you to do on a Friday night, the Burning Man people are, of course, burning a woman somewhere downtown, and  N.E. Last Words are playing @ 8 Ball Bail Bonds, and I.D.F.I. are playing @ the Motor City Cafe with a couple of shitty loser bands, where 90% of the crowd will be outside tweeking and drinking. Plan your night accordingly. ;-)

And then there's Saturday. Start off by watching 2 Troma movies @ the Sci-Fi Center (Demented Death Farm Massacre and Redneck Zombies), and then get your ass to the Cheyenne Saloon for the Authority Zero, S.F.T. and Surrounded By Thieves gig.  That is going to be fun F-U-N!!  And I'm happy to say that S.F.T. has their original drummer Darryl back. :-)
And then Sunday it's all about Lagwagon / Nothington / Cobra Skulls @ the LVCS. You can get your tickets by clicking here. What? You haven't heard about that gig? Well don't worry - not a lot of people have. Hopefully people turn out for it, because all the bands are good, but if not, too bad. Promotion people, promotion. It's not a bad thing, I swear.

I probably won't go to any of these gigs though, because I'm planning on attending the Wedding of Tess Fosburgh and Jesse Nabers, Super Photographer Extraordinaire on Saturday. To see this guy so blissfully happy and content with his lovely Lady Tess has truly been a trip, to say the least. They say that there is a perfect match out there for everyone, and I'm glad that these 2 found each other. Congratulations to the both of you. May your Future together be nothing but Goodness.

Everything's updated. Blah blah blah...

ha ha ha ha Where have I been? Where have YOU been? LOL All I'm hearing as of late is queries about the website being broken or why I am not updating it and why I'm not talking shit about so and so's website and how come there's no Drama going on here? hee hee hee I mean, seriously? I don't know why any of that is and I really don't care. All I know is I'm Happy and I got way more other important stuff going on right now that I can't be bothered by no jibba-jabba. And for the record, we all know that website sucks, right? Right? ;-)

In typical Stupied fashion, there is like 27,843 amazing gigs happening this weekend, starting tomorrow @ the Attic where Ministry Of Love are playing some fundraiser type thingy, so get your ass down there and support a good cause, whatever that is or whatever it is. And Friday, fuuuuuuuck, there is some seriously fantastic gigs happening. It starts off at First Friday with the almighty Pigasus making an All Ages appearance at the Gypsy Den, and then after that it's all about seeing Deadhand at the Arts Factory for another All Ages gig for the kids to go to. While you're downtown make sure to check out the Pee Wee Herman exhibit at Blackbird Studios that makes it's Grand Premier on that night too. Then you gotta be 21 and over to join in the celebration that is going to be going on for the EP release from The People's Whiskey who are, without a doubt, one of the Best Bands gigging around Vegas right now. I think the release is called 4 Tracks And Dub Sacks, but I'm not sure, and the teaser tracks I've heard from it are infuckingcredible. I can't wait to get my hands on this CD, 7", whatever it is, and just blast the shit out of it while I dance around to it in my tighty whities. :-) Yeah, that's how I roll at 4 in the morning.
In continuing with the Record Release Party them of the weekend, on Saturday it's all about partying with Surrounded By Thieves for their record release show, featuring support from their Friends and Comrades in Battle Born and the Quitters. This show is NOT to be missed and I just hope that they actually pressed this on vinyl, since it says it's a 'record release show'. Yeah, I'm a nit picker like that. ;-) Anyways, the new release is called Prophecies Of Greed and I've played a few gigs as of late with Surrounded By Thieves and I can tell you that the stuff on here sounds phenomenal. They're a really Ace band who deserve all your Love, Support and Money, so pick up their new release and buy the band some booze. You'll get a much better show if you do. ;-)
Sunday! Sunndaaay! Sunnndaaaaay! It's all about the fucking Legendary Verbal Abuse burning the Bunkhouse down to the ground in an ugly display of Power and Vulgarity all in the name of Punk Rock. Pretty awesome. Local support is being provided by Unfair Fight and Roid Rage who are apparently the coolest band on the planet, according to Pulsar, who's the Promoter for this thing. How and Why he books shitty, drama filled, gang associated trouble making shithead bands on his gigs is beyond me, but that's probably why I'll stay away from this one, which sucks because I'm a HUGE fan. Apparently, those "bands" sell tickets real easily, so I can understand why those bands get asked to play the good shows, as opposed to bands who actually play good at shows, like, any band that I'm in... LOL
Yup! It's gonna be a great weekend of Punk Rock chicanery, so dress warm, drink lots to stay warm, and get off your ass and have some FUN! :-)

Dr. Know Flyer
_Yeah, the Vegascendents are a heading out to Grandpa Spooky's old haunt of Ventura, CA. this weekend to play the 2nd Annual Nardcore Bowling Tournament, with the highlight being the Dr. Know performance with original singer/guitarist Kyle leading the band, which, is going to be AWESOME!!! I haven't seen that line up of Dr. Know since they played with Battalion Of Saints at Perkins Palace... I think. Doesn't matter. It's been a long, long time since I've seen them and I for one am going to be jazzed to see the original lineup of Dr. Know play. If you're anywhere in the area, make the pilgrimage out to make the gig. Bike, Hike, Walk, Run, Parachute, Kayak, take the Bus whatever! Just get your ass up to Oxnard to partake in the festivities. Just be warned - Metrolink doesn't run up there on the weekends. Don't ask me how I know that. :-)

Surrounded By Thieves Flyer
_Well, if you're gonna stay in town this weekend, there is a shit load of stuff going on that I would be all over if I was staying in, like this AMAZING gig going on tomorrow night at some place called Pandora's Lounge with Surrounded By Thieves, The Happy Campers, Deadhand and The Dirty Panties. A better sampling of some of the best Bands gigging around in Vegas right now you will not find. It's Issac from The Happy Campers Birthday party, so bring him lots of Sex, Drugs and Rock And Roll Debauchery, because he secretly lives for that type of stuff. I mean, look - Dr. Rockso is on the flyer, which means the white stuff is going to be flying around the place, right? Right? ha ha ha ha Well, I guess if you hang out in the bathroom long enough you can find out for yourself who's holding and who isn't, and maybe in between all that sniffing and snorting you can check out some of the bands that are playing. Maybe. Cocaine is a Hell of a Drug.

Batillus Flyer
Saturday night, just forget about that Calabrese gig @ the Bunkhouse - that's just a stabbing waiting to happen. ;-) Instead, check out this super sick line up of noise bringers playing @ Yayo Taco instead: Batillus, Rituals, Demon Lung, Tyrants Of Torment and Arsenik. Man, if that's not a good assemblage of some Doom and Gloom Stoner Metal then I don't know what is! LOL Usually this stuff is pretty hit or miss with me, because a lot of the times I'm usually laughing my ass off at the absolute absurdity of playing songs so slow and heavy, but on the right day, with enough bong hits under my belt, I can definitely get into it. For a sample of what you're in for from Batillus, you can go to the bands website and get their Furnace release for whatever you wanna pay for it by clicking here, but don't be a jerk and pay nothing for it, because that's just a lame thing to do. This should be a good gig, especially with Demon Lung on the bill. Like I said, if I was here in town on Saturday, this is the place I would be at. I figure, if the bands suck, I can always eat some tacos, so it's not a total loss. ;-) And to whomever did that flyer for this gig - Kudos!

Saturday - if you're in the Nardcore area - don't forget about this:
The Vegascendents have been practicing hard for this one, which means we sit around and drink beer and BBQ dead things while watching Football, Hockey or Sons of Anarchy. Lots of people have been commenting us about being hyped on seeing us play, and I know we ain't gonna disappoint them. Not unless my arm falls off from bowling, or if someone gives me a bottle of tequila again... heh heh Sundays are made for Football, and with the Raiders playing the Vikings, I'm pretty sure that I'll be nursing a hangover on Sunday while watching my team destroy the Minnesota franchise. Yeah, it's gonna be a great weekend! Hope yours is  going to be just as much fun as mine is! See ya when I get back! Wish me Luck! ;-)

Just a few things I wanted to bring to your attention.

There's this thing going on this Saturday that Surrounded By Thieves are playing called The Humanitarian Festival. What that is for is to help raise much needed money for various Charities and Non-Profit agencies around the City. It starts @ 10 am and it's going down @ the Cheyenne Sports Complex @ the CSN Cheyenne campus, which is near Pecos / Cheyenne. It's Family friendly, there's gonna be food vendors, and a bunch of bands are playing that I've never even heard of, but I'm assuming they're all Local, so get out there and support a good cause and check out some bands. Surrounded By Thieves goes on at 6. ;-)

Danny, the Prince of Drummers and Bartenders, has a gig going on Saturday @ the Bikini Bar that he seems pretty hyped about. It's featuring Big Sir, a band that has the bass player from The Mars Volta in it, and they're playing with The Uprising and a couple of dudes with acoustic guitars - Ugh! Anyways, click here to go to the Facebook page to find out more info on the gig and to see what the drink specials are. $20 all you can drink draft beer? NICE!! :-)

This is where I'm going to be on Saturday. :-)
Yellowman Flyer
Nobody move... Nobody get hurt...
Yeah, Yellowman is going to be great! Haven't been to any gigs @ the Silverton yet, but I'm looking forward to getting my Reggae fix on with King Yellowman. Praise Jah!

There's some sick gigs going down @ Yayo Taco this weekend, starting Friday with Hoax, Neo Cons, Doctorshopper and Nests. Don't ask me about any of those bands, because I have no idea. After the gig you got to choose between seeing the Quitters with Nopartyno and Horripilation @ Motor City Cafe, Xomby @ the Double Down, or the Dirty Panties @ the Arts Factory. Sweet way to spend a Friday night. :-)
Hoax Flyer
Silver dollars for the dead man's eyes.
The Tinglerz are playing @ the Double Down on Saturday, Unfair Fight and Sheep On A Cliff are playing with Destroyed In Seconds @ Yayo Taco, so if you're not going to Big Sir or Yellowman, then get your Punk on and have fun. Just get off your ass and have fun. Life is too short, ya know? See ya around!
D.I.S. Flyer
To the Victor goes the Spoils!
