Damn... your computer crashes and look at all the fun you miss out on. I totally spaced on going to see Bullet Train To Vegas this past weekend. Boooooo! I was so busy re-installing and configuring my computer (and lamenting the loss of some of my data files) that I completely forgot about that band playing. I hate when that happens. Factor into that equation the fact that I'm sick as a dog and you'll get an idea of where my head is at, which is heavily sedated and very medicated. Lots of people have complimented me on my Tag Message Board, and I see that Jesse even posted something on it. I'm flattered that he even bothers to check my web site out. The last time I went to his bands web site it was a train wreck of a mess. Nothing worked, the pictures sucked and Roxie was posting to herself on the Message Board. D00D, here's the news flash that I know you missed out on:

I'M NOT MAD ABOUT BEING KICKED OUT OF THE LOUD PIPES

There it is for you, in nice bold 14 point font. Get over it yourself. If I believed everything that everyone has been telling me about you Jesse, I'd have an even lower opinion of you than I already do. I could make a business out of correcting inaccuracies and myths being perpetrated about me and the band, but what for? I don't care, and anyone that has bothered to talk to me knows this is how I've always felt about the deception from the beginning. Ask Tony. Ask Pitt. This is all so funny, isn't it? I wasn't upset when they told me, nor was I upset when you told me a few days later. Why I can still remember how you begged me to join your band, promising me that you'd buy me a drum set, pay me to play gigs and just generally doing anything you could to get me to play with you. How many times did you tell me I was the best drummer you ever played with. Do you remember all that Jesse? And you think I'm upset over getting kicked out of the band? Sorry but the answer is no. You needed me buddy, not vice versa. Phooey. The fact that I dedicated even this much space to addressing this topic is idiotic. Go about your business and I'll go about mine, and never the two shall meet, OK? OK. Good luck playing with Brendan from Absent Minded on guitar, good luck with your 'real' job, good luck with getting to out of state shows without Pitt's van, and good luck raising the money to go to New Orleans. I posted a new Music reviews page, some old (The Half Empties, Sin City Ghouls, Descendents, Dirty Babies), some new (Agnostic Front, Sum 41, Elvis Costello and the In Honor compilation), all equally vapid and devoid of thought. I also updated the Links page, as well as added some old Show Reviews that I found lying around (Infestshit / The Heart Attacks @ Balcony Lights being my favorite). Loads of good shows coming up this weekend and next week... hope to see you all at some of the gigs.

It's the 4th of July and I'm remembering where I was last year at this time. I had purple hair, and we were gonna play the Red White & Boom thing with the Vandals & MC Hammer. Bryan Novello was our singer, and I remember that Pulsar was there cheering us on. We were in the background playing when Channel 3 News did a live report from the show at noon (and we never got the tape from them, the fucking assholes) and Hanks brother Donnie took some amazing pictures of us. It seems so long ago, but it really wasn't. It's just that we've done so much since then. We did a Tour... released an EP... played some amazing shows and had some great times along the way. The reason for all this nostalgia? I guess I'm looking ahead to where I'm gonna be in a year or so. Probably right behind the computer like I am now. So yeah... we're not playing Marco's No Hope For The Kids show at Balcony Lights because Frank is a joto, but rumor has it that it may be happening somewhere else, so keep your ears peeled. I have no idea of whats going on with the Partisans show, so please stop asking me about it. And I also heard through the grapevine that we're playing a house party sometime soon, but once again it could just be a sick rumor. The only thing I do know for sure is that we're going to AZ. next weekend for our big interview with Razorcake Magazine, so that should be fun. Jesse The Super Moved Roadie tells me that our friends in the Half Empties wanna show us their appreciation for going out on the road with them, and we're gonna throw a big ass party at The Rogue when we play there, so if you're in the area you should definitely stop by. We're gonna be staying in Jesse The Super Roadies now empty apt., so expect the debauchery levels to be running high. Hopefully Jesse didn't pack his samurai sword away, so we can chop up some stuff in the neighborhood. The next Tour Diary entry is up, and you can go here to check that out, and I also posted some pictures of the Smut Peddlers that I took in S.F., and you can go here to check that shit out. I updated the Table Of Contents, and adjusted the layout on some of the pages that didn't look right when I did my recent revisions to the web sites appearance. So anyways, Happy 4th of July... go flash fry a cow injected with cheese, and use the Foreigner belt wisely... or else The Mooninites will come down and get you... heh heh heh. I'm gonna get TORE UP!!

June 16, 2004

Despite the fact that the Suicidals were supposedly after me, and despite the fact that I drank more than I ate, I am back and alive and well and with tons of stories to tell. In keeping with my Indian heritage, I'm gonna tell you right off the bat that the details might not all be correct, and I may get a few things mixed up, but generally you can get a feel as to how things went on the Tour. I tried to be semi-responsible by keeping a journal, but with the late nights and constant drinking it was kinda hard to keep up with things, but I did, and unfortunately it was all for naught, since Pitt spilled Powerade all along my purse just outside of Chico, CA. and basically smeared all my writings... booooooooo. Oh well. I had so much fucking fun that I could die now and be very very happy as to how things worked out. To say that we killed almost everyplace we played (except for Seattle, and maybe Hollywood) is an understatement. We made tons of friends... lots of important contacts... and just generally established the band as a force to be reckoned with. Special fucking thanks to Hank The Belt-Buckle-Adjusting Roadie... those crazy kids in Reno... Slick Rick in S.F., our buddies in Nothing Yet... The Legendary Johnny B (The Reverend Horton Heat incognito) in Medford, OR., all the ex-Las Vegas people in Portland that we got sick and twisted with while we were up there... our beautiful and gracious hosts in the City Of Angels Johnny & Alana... Big Irish & Darby in Livermore, CA., Kevin @ The Anarchy Library... Karin & Matt in Lake Tahoe, and Boyd too, who remembered me from my Cyanide Blues days many moons ago. Fucking Hell... there's too many people to thank, but I'm not gonna forget to thank The Half Empties, 'cuz without them, none of this would have been possible, and without them, it would not of been as much fun as it was. You guys are the best, and thanks again for all the good times and for the bag of ribs. So uhhm yeah... the first date of the Tour was right here in Las fuckin' Vegas, and you can click here to check it out, and you can click here to see all the beautiful pictures that Hank took of us ugly bastards.

Wowsers ! We sure do have a lot of shows and stuff going on with the band. After a quick update from Miss Roxie I can tell you the following things.

1. A guy from Thrasher Magazine e-mailed the Club House to tell us that they're doing a CD Review on us and that they're printing a Review on a show we played there with Deadbolt a few months back. And if that wasn't awesome enough, they also want to interview us before our show on April 15 @ Ziggy's in Tempe. What a deal. I for one am HYPED !!!

2. We're gonna be playing a show with Curl Up And Die and Terror on April 23 @ The Crystal Palace Skate Rink that I guarantee won't get broken up by The Man, so everyone please come out and check out these 2 great bands and then us...heh heh heh.

3. I think we're gonna be playing @ Rumor's in North Hollywood on April 24 (Roxie's B-Day) and then on the 25th we're going to the opening of the Twilight Zone ride @ California Theme Park ! Special thanks to Caveman for hooking that up.

4. All of the above is on top of our other shows coming up, like the 3 pending shows with some legendary U.K. bands, and the Tour we're going on with The Half Empties, plus the show on June 24 with Defiance. And in the midst of all this gigging we're supposed to finish up the 7" and print up a shitload of merch and keep our wits about us. Yeah right. Like that will ever happen.

5. I don't think we're going to be playing @ Smoothie King anytime soon. They were busting our nuts over our guarantee. It seems their policy is that they don't pay bands to play there, but yet the bands themselves have to pay to play. We told them if they don't pay us that we don't play. They had Brendan from Absent Minded call Roxie to try to get us to play for free, and when that didn't work they had SOMEONE in N.Y.C. call the Club House claiming to be the "Smoothie King's Business Partner" try to talk us into playing for free. We asked them to send us some paperwork on this great charity that all the proceeds go to, and of course they never sent a thing, so phooey.

We're working on a totally gay new song, and we're gonna try to have it ready for the upcoming AZ. shows, and even though Jesse The Super Roadie didn't get us those Darkness tickets he was supposed to, we're still gonna have fun when we get there. My liver hurts at the thought. See ya at the shows on Sat.
