And so it begins. :-/

Yeah, Punk Rock Bowling is upon us, and the Drama already begins. I caught a little bit of slack for promoting that F.S.P. gig last night, but I know nothing about any alleged Racism back in the day or about any Racists being in the band, but if that's true, I might have to relegate them to bands that don't deserve to be supported. Anyone know anything about this? Anyone wanna chime in?

Gigs Gigs Gigs Gigs - tonight there's a whole bunch of them happening to choose from. If you don't know about them already, don't look at me for info. It's all on the Gig Calendar page, and you can go there by clicking here and figuring it out yourself. I'm staying in tonight and being a good boy, because I gotta get up early to head out to Sam's Town to bowl with the Vegascendents Team. Lane 1 @ Noon. Come hang! :-)

I think I've converted every page on the website to the new format. I'm constantly adding all sorts of the old material to the website, like Pictures and Show Reviews, and I've added some new stuff too, like the Music Reviews on the latest from Ministry (click here to read that) and Surrounded By Thieves as well - click here to read that. I also added the Pictures I took of them playing @ the Bunkhouse a few weeks ago, and you can go here to check those out. That was a fun night to say the least. The Show Review of that gig is almost done. I'm just waiting to edit those Battle Born photos from that night and it will be done. Oh, I added a Tunes page with stuff to listen to on there, and the first thing I put up on that page was a release from Public Humiliation back in 1988. The album is called It All Started When I Was Five, and you can click here to check that release out. Fans of the Flaming Lips or the Dead Milkmen will like it. Anyways, I'm going to go back to watching Chappelle's Show before calling it a night. Hope to see you at the D.I. gig tomorrow!

Deadhand Flyer
Bucket List... fuck off! ha ha ha

Don't forget about this Deadhand gig happening tonight. I'm not sure why they're playing the Griffin, but I'd like to think it's because they're trying to pay off some drug fueled, hooker filled, 3 day long drinking binge, but I'm sure the real reason they're playing there is not as cool as what I imagined, but you never know. Anyways, go check out Deadhand tonight, and if I can get out of the studio tonight on time I just might venture downtown to check this out. It's an intimate setting that gives me the opportunity to see at least 1 good band before the Punk Rock Bowling snore fest oozes it's way into town. Sorry folks, but I'm just not feeling it this year. Who's playing this year that's worth getting worked up about? Rancid? NOFX? The Belltones? LOL Fuck all that ghey shit. If I wasn't playing the 2 gigs I'm playing with Guilty By Association I wouldn't even be anywhere in the vicinity of any gig happening this weekend. Le sigh. I'm always hanging out during the actual bowling aspect of it though, and this year I'm on the Vegascendents bowling team! Aaaaargh!! ha ha ha  Oh, BTW, Lane 1 @ Noon on Sat. - Roll Out and Support! :-)

And now it's the Calm before the Storm, the Punk Rock Bowling storm. I finally caught up on all the Flyers for the Gig Calendar page, and I've been nerding out big time on applying all the changes that Weebly have made to the software that makes this website possible. Did you see the new layout for the Videos page? I love it. It's all categorized and alphabetized and you can click on any bands name and it takes you to a page that contains all the stuff I have from that band on one page. You can comment on everything individually now, which is awesome too, and I found an old Thirteen34 video on my old Myspace page that I threw on there that I don't even have a hard copy of myself anymore. I lost it on a computer I used to have a long ass time ago. Click here to check that video out. I did the same with the Music Reviews page. I just added the review for the new Ministry CD, and you can click here to check that out too. I got a lot more but I've been busy adding all of this years photos I took to the Pictures page, which also has the new layout applied to it. I feel energized. I feel alive. Everything with all 5 bands I'm in is going great, almost... heh. I'm loving the physical drain of practicing and playing drums every day, and I got a bunch of new website merch on the way that I'm pretty hyped on. Stickers, badges, tee shirts, y todo! Things are going good with me, and I hope they are with you too. Most of you anyways. ;-)

This will probably mean nothing to the majority of you out there, but for those of you who get this, you will know EXACTLY what I am talking about when I say this:

_Chuck Bresnahan MUST GO!!!

OK, now that I got that off of my chest, time to focus on the Positive. I had a great time this weekend. If I hear that I'm 'beaming' from one more person I may just vomit. :-) Yeah, Fri. night @ the Motor City Cafe was fun. The People's Whiskey just fucking killed it with an intense set of songs that, as always, just blew me away. Nice to see Cody rocking the onethirtyeight.org shirt I had just given to him minutes before they played. LOL The drummer Luis is nothing short of phenomenal, and the other 2 guitarists are just ace. I could listen to this band for hours. I bought 2 copies of their new release 8 Tracks And Dub Sacks, because I figured I was gonna wear one copy thin after like 3 weeks of solid, non-stop listening! So far it's only been 3 days but damn, this CD is really, really fucking good. Holy shit balls is it good. Here's the video to one of the tracks on the CD called Tall Can. If you're ever in Hendertucky you better watch out for the Water Street Werewolf! He's been know to lurk in that area, stealing unsuspecting tall cans from intoxicated beer drinkers. ;-)
_There's a song on The People's Whiskey CD called Pills that could of easily been written about my psychotic ex-wife! LOL I can tell you've been taking your pills again / And drinking vodka already, yeah... Man, can I ever relate to that sentiment! hahahaha Thank Gawd those days are over. Well, for me anyways. As for my Friend that she's hooked up with currently, all I can say is you're a stupid, stupid man. And after all the Drama you know she put me through, all the Games, all the BS, you choose to get involved with that? Man, you really are retarded, aren't you? LOL Whatever Loser. Good Luck with that.

So where was I? hahaha Oh yeah, Friday night. Motor City Cafe. The Naked City Romeos were on the bill too, and they played really good (Dirk was fucking LOUD) and threw out a few new covers that I don't think any one in the place knew were covers, and they debuted a new Christmas song called Santa Is A Romeo. Fun stuff. They're a great band you should check out if you haven't already, and get their debut self titled CD because that's one excellent piece of digitally musically encoded plastic right there. I'm starting to really dig the Motor City Cafe. There's just some good people that hang out there, like Christy & Kei Tinglerz, Turbo & Kate Seriouslys, Mishelle, Skateboard Bob, and whomever else I'm forgetting. I'm always having fun there and never feeling skeeved out by the patrons or the lack of breathable air in the place. And, there's no dirty fucking hippies living in the parking lot next door to the place reporting on drug activity and drunk driving. Heh heh

Yeah, I mentioned that I found some of the onethirtyeight.org shirts with the Rorschach 'We do it because we are compelled' logo on them. I found a box of them in my garage, so if you want one, just let me know. I saw mens  M, L and XL's sizes only in there, so if you can't fit into any of those sizes, too bad. Just be careful when you wear them, because SOME people have very strong opinions about this website, and won't be afraid to share those rotten sentiments with you - or so I'm told anyways. :-)

Sat. night I was at the Cheyenne Saloon, where they apparently don't have adequate ventilation or anything other than Miller Lite on draft to drink, and there's still plenty of onethirtyeight.org stickers still hanging around the place! LOL Guttermouth brought out all sorts of freaks and weirdos to see them play, and it was good hanging out with people I haven't seen in a while, like Eastside Joe, Carlos S.F.T. and his lovely wife, all the guys in Guilty By Association, including Nick Battle Born, who I think is their new Official Drummer - Congrats Dude! I was also hanging out and drinking with my heterosexual Band Mate for Life George, who went from being the Hardest Working Man in Business to the Smartest Gambler in Las Vegas, and Punk Rock Zack, who I haven't seen since the Vegascendents Punk Rock Bowling sojourn to Oxnard a while back. That kid and I did some serious drinking that weekend, and he used me to sneak back into the place after one of the many times he got caught in the place after refusing to pay the cover price for the gig which was a bit steep. Glad I don't pay to see Guttermouth gigs though. ;-) If you watch this video I shot on my iPhone of the last 3 songs Guilty By Association did that night, you can see Zack getting roughed up in the pit and eventually getting thrown out towards the end of the Billy Joel cover they played... UGH! ha ha ha The video on my phone came out better looking than the one I took with my hand held HD camera, so I might start shooting with that more often. It was pretty handy to have around after the batteries on my HD camera died.
Yeah, Guttermouth were really good, playing a pretty much standard set of 'Hits' even after Mark promised me they were going to be playing some new songs, which he described as a bit more 'dark and mature sounding' than the stuff they usually play, which is usually about fast food chicken places, crack hallucinations or transvestite donkeys. I think I heard 1 new song played, but I'm not even sure about that. The guys in the band are all cool dudes, and hanging out with the band in the luxurious backstage area of the Cheyenne, which consisted of the kitchen area full of Booze and Drugs and fold out chairs, just brought me back to how lucky I am to have such cool people in my Life. It's always great hanging out with guys like Mark and George, good old Friends that you've known forever and share so many wonderful memories with, guys like me who were there 'back in the days' and who don't sweat the small stuff. It's really rejuvenating, to say the least. It was a fun night! And ending the night eating lemon flavored hot dogs @ the 7-11 with Sin at 4 in the morning? Priceless!! <3

One of the many things Mark, George and I were talking about was the big Goldenvoice 30th Anniversary gig happening all weekend at the Santa Monica Civic. We are all old enough to have seen pretty much all the bands that were playing the event in their prime, back in the days when they were all good and they all had their original members, so the event didn't really seem like that big of a deal. I personally didn't feel the need to make it out there for the gig, which I totally could of went to, but it's funny hearing my Friends who were there carrying on about the Black Flag 'reunion' that went on. I'm sorry to say this, but it wasn't a Black Flag reunion, despite that being the way Jerry Roach introduced it as. No Ginn, no Rollins, no Black Flag, sorry. Just seemed like a group of Friends getting together and playing some songs they like to play, songs that they helped write, putting their differences aside and just kicking out the jams, and I personally know how fun that can be. <3 Speaking of Gregg Ginn, did you see the story about how he got a bunch of Punk videos pulled from YouTube and accounts closed because they posted SST related material on there? Yeah, what a fucking dooshbag. Click here to read the story if you haven't already.

Happy Birthday to Xtal, who, I think is turning the big 25 today! LOL Be careful though - once you turn 26 it's all downhill from there dear. ;-) Oh, and this is a bit of fucked up news, but apparently some Local neighborhood creeps broke into her house where her bands rehearse and stole some instruments and amps and shit, so if you see anyone selling off the Seriouslys band equipment, please, do NOT call the Police, but instead call Turbo, and he will take care of the perpetrators in a way that is fitting for the crimes in which they are partially guilty of. Yup!

Fuck, I either don't write anything or I ramble on like the idiot I am and write a mini novel or something. The fucking sun is out bright and early this Monday morning, and I got stuff to do today. I updated the Gig Calendar page with a whole shitload of new stuff, and I brought back the Tag Board after Weebly did some updates that made it really easy to put it back on here. The Comments feature after every new posting on here is cool and all, but not alot of people utilize it, either because they don't know about it, or they're just too lazy to do it. The Tag Board gives that instant gratification that everyone seems to crave, so I put it back up to serve whatever purpose it may, both Good or Bad. 2012 is gonna be FUN! Wait and see! ;-) OK, I'm gonna go kipper a nap and then hit the ground running. Everything is updated, and I hope you're all in a good place, because I know that I am. <3

Dr. Know Flyer
_Yeah, the Vegascendents are a heading out to Grandpa Spooky's old haunt of Ventura, CA. this weekend to play the 2nd Annual Nardcore Bowling Tournament, with the highlight being the Dr. Know performance with original singer/guitarist Kyle leading the band, which, is going to be AWESOME!!! I haven't seen that line up of Dr. Know since they played with Battalion Of Saints at Perkins Palace... I think. Doesn't matter. It's been a long, long time since I've seen them and I for one am going to be jazzed to see the original lineup of Dr. Know play. If you're anywhere in the area, make the pilgrimage out to make the gig. Bike, Hike, Walk, Run, Parachute, Kayak, take the Bus whatever! Just get your ass up to Oxnard to partake in the festivities. Just be warned - Metrolink doesn't run up there on the weekends. Don't ask me how I know that. :-)

Surrounded By Thieves Flyer
_Well, if you're gonna stay in town this weekend, there is a shit load of stuff going on that I would be all over if I was staying in, like this AMAZING gig going on tomorrow night at some place called Pandora's Lounge with Surrounded By Thieves, The Happy Campers, Deadhand and The Dirty Panties. A better sampling of some of the best Bands gigging around in Vegas right now you will not find. It's Issac from The Happy Campers Birthday party, so bring him lots of Sex, Drugs and Rock And Roll Debauchery, because he secretly lives for that type of stuff. I mean, look - Dr. Rockso is on the flyer, which means the white stuff is going to be flying around the place, right? Right? ha ha ha ha Well, I guess if you hang out in the bathroom long enough you can find out for yourself who's holding and who isn't, and maybe in between all that sniffing and snorting you can check out some of the bands that are playing. Maybe. Cocaine is a Hell of a Drug.

Batillus Flyer
Saturday night, just forget about that Calabrese gig @ the Bunkhouse - that's just a stabbing waiting to happen. ;-) Instead, check out this super sick line up of noise bringers playing @ Yayo Taco instead: Batillus, Rituals, Demon Lung, Tyrants Of Torment and Arsenik. Man, if that's not a good assemblage of some Doom and Gloom Stoner Metal then I don't know what is! LOL Usually this stuff is pretty hit or miss with me, because a lot of the times I'm usually laughing my ass off at the absolute absurdity of playing songs so slow and heavy, but on the right day, with enough bong hits under my belt, I can definitely get into it. For a sample of what you're in for from Batillus, you can go to the bands website and get their Furnace release for whatever you wanna pay for it by clicking here, but don't be a jerk and pay nothing for it, because that's just a lame thing to do. This should be a good gig, especially with Demon Lung on the bill. Like I said, if I was here in town on Saturday, this is the place I would be at. I figure, if the bands suck, I can always eat some tacos, so it's not a total loss. ;-) And to whomever did that flyer for this gig - Kudos!

Saturday - if you're in the Nardcore area - don't forget about this:
The Vegascendents have been practicing hard for this one, which means we sit around and drink beer and BBQ dead things while watching Football, Hockey or Sons of Anarchy. Lots of people have been commenting us about being hyped on seeing us play, and I know we ain't gonna disappoint them. Not unless my arm falls off from bowling, or if someone gives me a bottle of tequila again... heh heh Sundays are made for Football, and with the Raiders playing the Vikings, I'm pretty sure that I'll be nursing a hangover on Sunday while watching my team destroy the Minnesota franchise. Yeah, it's gonna be a great weekend! Hope yours is  going to be just as much fun as mine is! See ya when I get back! Wish me Luck! ;-)

OK, it's not like that there's nothing going on in the Scene, right? ;-)

Here's the problem - there's too much going on! I'm completely suckered back into the whole Red Dead Redemption thing, and the new Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 comes out today. As soon as I'm done typing this up I'm heading to Game Stop to grab me a copy, and you probably won't see me for about a month! LOL I'm on one of the luckiest streaks ever with the Females in my Life, and I got this gig with the Vegascendents for some Punk Rock Bowling after party thing in Oxnard (Nardcore!) coming up that has me pretty preoccupied, so with all that going on, I just don't have to urge to see Gigs as much as I should. I missed the Deadhand / TheCore gig this past weekend as well as some house party that the Civilians played on Sunday. Sorry guys. Plus, it's pretty nauseating when Local bands announce that they're 'Playing their 2nd release in it's entirety" like they're fucking Slayer or something. Get a clue Egomaniacs - nobody gives a shit if you play your first, second, third fourth or fifth release in it's entirety because if it was any good, if it really was a Classic release that deserved to be heard in it's entirety, like Rain In Blood or Sailing The Seas Of Cheese or Three Imaginary Boys, you guys WOULD be Slayer at this point in your musical career, but you're not. Sorry. Don't quit your day job. And nobody's impressed that you're opening for the big bands at the Joint either. What did that do for you the last time you opened for that same band? Oh, that's right - NOTHING! Fucking Tools. No wonder whenever I mention that your band is playing a gig people give me that funny look, like they just smelled a dirty diaper full of shit. It all makes sense now...

Anyways, like I said, things are coming to a crawl around here because Life is interfering with the website. I'm sure it will come to an end soon but for right now, I'm just gonna enjoy what's going on, living the Life, loving the Dream. :-) Lots of cool gigs coming up - as always, check the Gig Calendar page for the cool gigs happening around town. Fucking Thunderfist is playing the Double Down on Friday, and if it was anywhere else, I would be there front and center, because I fucking LOVE that band, but the Double Down? Fuck that place. Someday I'm gonna go Public with why I don't like that place, and the whole back story of why you shouldn't support such a toilet bowl of a place or the Dooshbag that claims credit for everything that has went on in there. Some of you know the Real story, and others out there try to deny it, like it didn't happen. The funniest are the History Re-Writers. Somewhere, Scott is rolling over in his grave... well, not really. He's probably drunk, sipping on his Scotch and smoking those stinky cigars of his, laughing and carrying on like the cool guy he was, like when HE gave a couple of Punx from L.A. a chance at establishing HIS bar as a viable option for bands to play at, against the better wishes of his partner who said that Bands would never work there, and did his damnedest to make sure they wouldn't. :-) Yeah... someday...

Everything is updated. Monster Zero is playing Fri. @ the Motor City Cafe, and go see the Naked City Romeos on Sat. there too because they're all sexy beasts and they play some kick ass Punk Rock music. Buy their CD too if you can - you will NOT be disappointed! And bug Turbo for some free Naked City Romeos stickers too! ;-) Sunday if you got a beard, or if you're an Anglophile, you'll go to to the Kevin Seconds / Cunt Sparrer gig @ the Bunkhouse, or, if you like your guitars LOUD with lots of noodling, you'll be at the High On Fire / Demon Lung gig @ the Bunkhouse. And BTW, that Cunt Sparrer thing is a fucking joke. After that Turbonegra fiasco I watched one time, I'm convinced that chicks just can't play that aggressive, hard Punk music. Nope. If it was a bunch of guys playing crappy Cock Sparrer covers, no one would give a shit, but since it's a bunch of girls playing crappy Cock Sparrer covers, everyone here acts like it's the Second Coming or something. Fucking Tools. As always, it's either there's nothing going on, or there's too much going on, and it looks like Sunday is the day for that to happen. :-) If I can stop playing Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 long enough, or if I'm allowed to by my better halves, I'll see you at the gigs! :-)
Naked City Romoes Flyer
I heart the Motor City Cafe! :-)

I am sooooooooo in Love with Deadhand right now that it's not even funny! <3 I finally saw them play last night @ Hypnotic Billiards (in the same shopping center as Tony's, which makes some of the bombest Mexican food in the City!) and it's almost 24 hours later and I can't stop thinking about what a great performance they put on! Hypnotic Billiards sucks as a venue, because the stage is almost dead set against the front of the circular bar, leaving pretty much the entire prime viewing area directly in front of the stage non useable, forcing everyone to watch from either the left or the right of the stage, and the room's a bit bright as well, sucking up all the bottom end and making everything sound a wee bit trebley, but as far as a viable option for bands to play in a City that sorely needs one, Hypnotic Billiards will work! LOL Plus it's All Ages as well, which is always a plus here in town. I got there just as Ministry Of Love started to play, because the gig MOL was playing before the Signals Midwest gig was running late, and they were sounding really good for the first half of their set, but then I think technical difficulties killed the momentum midway through. It was either that or it was the slower, mid paced songs that they played towards the end of their set. Either or, but Hey! What do I know, right. The kids dug them. That's all that matters. :-)

Signals Midwest were pretty good, with a drummer that was absolutely KILLING IT while the band played their energetic punky pop music!! I love watching good drummers and this guy was really, really good. The rest of the band were no slouches either, but the drummer was the Star. Seriously. I wish Signals Midwest would make Las Vegas a regular stop, because I'd definitely go check those guys out again. Good stuff. I've forgotten how great TheCore are, what with Sal and his whole 'Beardcore' thing keeping the band from playing as often as they should, but man, those guys haven't lost a thing since the last time I saw them play. Just fucking fantastic, although I think they played pretty much the same set as the last time I saw them. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, just saying. :-) They're one of my favorite Local bands and one of the bands I point out to others as a perfect example of what a good band is supposed to be like. I tried to take pictures but there were a couple of dooshy "professional photographer" types (1 of whom was Steve from punksinvegas.com... LOL) running around and getting in the way of my shots, so I just gave up and enjoyed the rest of their set from a distance. Soooooooo good TheCore are. :-) Oh, and did I mention that Deadhand were fucking AMAZING! hahaha Playing a great selection from their debut CD and a bunch of stuff they haven't even released yet, they were just fucking stellar and I seriously couldn't be prouder of Brendan. I've been with that kid through thick and thin, and with this latest release he's just beginning to hit his stride with his songwriting. Just fantastic stuff and they sounded sooooo good last night. Deadhand. Fuck yeah. Buy their new CD immediately and become a fan on their Facebook page by clicking here.

I was gonna go to Saturday's Krum Bums / Dead Neon / Blatant / Toxic Holocaust gig, but I didn't have the $$$ to get in, and by the time Pulsar got back to me and said I would be on the Guest List, I had already made other plans. Sorry. I heard nothing about the gig though, if it was good or not. I'm sure it was though. I heard good things about that Hemlock / Klunk gig that happened @ the Cheyenne Saloon, which is cool. Hemlock has been around forever. Everyone in town has a Hemlock story, either good or bad, and who can forget those classic freeway off ramp wooden board gig announcements, huh? LOL Friday's birthday party for the Prince of Pinche Drummers was splendid. We didn't kill the keg because we were all concentrating on smoking ourselves retarded and shooting whiskey and chugging tequila! LOL There's Pictures of the night in the usual place, but the funny thing is, I don't remember taking or being in any of them! hahahaha Oh Tequila, how I Love thee!! <3

Everything is updated. I don't know if I ever said anything about it on the website, but I'm back to playing drums in Youth Gone Mad, and we have a great gig block party thing going on this Sat. in Torrance, CA. with the Yeastie Boys, Million Kids, the Von Steins and a bunch of other cool bands. Yeah, not only am I a Drum Whore, but now I'm doing it in different states! LOL It's an All Day, All Ages extravaganza that is not to be missed! I'll be taking lots of photos, that's for sure! LOL And speaking of photos, the Hell Ride Music Festival posted a bunch of Pictures of the Vegascendents in action when we played there in Fullerton a while back, and you can go here to check them out on their Facebook page. They're pretty good and Thankfully, not centered on me! LOL The guy in the Double Down tee shirt dancing around and singing along was just some random drunken dude having fun. I thought the shirt was ironic, to say the least... heh heh. I'm not gonna make it to tonight's Black Jetts / Tinglerz / Unko Atama gig @ the Bunkhouse because I gotta go help a friend set up their Etsy.com web account, but if you got nothing better to do than please go support a couple of great Local bands and some band who's name translates to 'Shit Head'... heh heh heh It's gonna be a great week! Can't wait to see all my Friends and Family in CA. again!! Woo Hoo!!
Youth Gone Mad Flyer
A pretty P.F.R. flyer, right?

Drama? I got no time for it.
Pain? Like hanging out with an old friend. ;-)
Love? Gimme a friggin' break! hahahaha

I haven't had a spare moment of time as of late, what with dealing with and avoiding the Drama that surrounds me in every direction. I'm Teflon people - it doesn't stick to me. Give it up. I'm also battling some weird toothache pain that's burrowed deep in my jawbone, with visions of Rick H. dancing in the back of me head. I've been eating Percocets and Oxycontin's like Sweet Tarts, and that's never good. Amoxycellin helps. I've been practicing a lot lately, with 3 of the 4 bands I'm currently playing with, and that's just wiping me out. Pray for Mojo, will ya? Yeah, needless to say, with all this going on, updating the website hasn't exactly been the priority, ya know?

Another week has passed, and the Divebar is still open... hee hee hee

I saw that Human Rights (feeaturing H.R. from the Bad Brains) played the Double Down last Tuesday, and for everyone I saw on Facebook fawning over what a great gig it was gonna be, I haven't heard one positive word about the experience! LOL The first time I saw Human Rights my friends and I ran out of Fender's Ballroom in hysterical tears at what a train wreck it was. I can't imagine the band has gotten any better 25 years later, I really can't. And this is coming from a Reggae fan! hahahaha

Sippin on that Haterade right about now. It sure tastes good at this time of the morning. Everything is updated. The pictures of Unfair Fight and Klunk that were taken @ Diablos last week are now up and available to look at. Unfair Fight is here, and Klunk is here. The Gig Calendar page is chock full of new listings. I'm already putting up shows for October on there. I'm heading out to Cali on Friday to play a Vegascendents gig with Sloka somewhere in Fullerton, and I wish I had a flyer to show you, but apparently the Promoter feels that making one wasn't necessary to make the show a success. Go figure. I'm hoping to be back by Saturday to catch the action downtown, first with Cold Stare and Fleas playing @ Twelve21, and then afterwards it's all about the Mapes and Ultramaroon @ the Arts Factory. That shit is going to be Legendary. Hope to see you there.

It's 3 am on a beautiful Tuesday morning. Howard Stern is bitching about something and I could give a shit less. I've had the most interesting past few days ever, and I'm currently in the middle of major rehearsals with 3 different bands that have me not knowing which way is up. The Loud Pipes have a gig coming up soon, same with the Vegascendents, and I got a new band that I'm pretty hyped about. Aluminum Falcon has been 'shelved', for lack of a better term, and this new band helps ease the pain of the frustration of not being able to take Aluminum Falcon to greater heights than we did. Oh well. It wasn't from lack of trying, I can assure you of that. Starting a new band is like getting a new girlfriend. It's always fun in the beginning. ;-)

I heard nothing but great things about the Zombie Prom @ the Bunkhouse on Fri. I don't know if I believe the story Turbo told me, but it still sounded fun! hahaha I love the Tinglerz and I dig the Seriouslys. I was at the sidewalk sale for Cowtown Guitars Sat. afternoon, chatting away and eating hot dogs with the 2 new owners, Jesse & Roxie,  and their offspring, Gadzuki, who kept everyone on their toes by throwing around a super rubber bounce ball that everybody took turns chasing after, and by riding a scooter around for hours until he was red in the face. Gawd I love that kid. Great turnout too. Talked to a bunch of people who I haven't seen in a while, and even a few who only talk to me on Facebook - what a shock! hahahaha And it's always awkward when you see someone in person who just added you as a Friend, and they don't say a word to you -- how quickly can you say 'Delete'? ;-)

T.S.O.L. on Sat. - were you there? I wasn't, but everybody I talked to that was there said it was a great gig. I heard that Paolo and S.F.T. just killed it. I didn't go, of course, and not because it was at the Bunkhouse; I got no problem with the place, and it wasn't because of Civet, because those cunts just aren't worth the trouble of even making an effort to avoid, but I didn't go because of the Pulsar thing. Since I love the kid I'll spare him the indignity of airing our dirty laundry in public, but I will say this - I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Others are noticing, and they don't like it but Hey! What do I know, right? LOL

Yeah, nothing but shit talking going on here. I'm gonna go back to burning CD's into my music collection. People who come over to my house and see it or go through it are kind of impressed and shocked, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. :-) Support Local Music. Be More Than A Witness. Fuck Pay To Play Bullshit, and Plan on being at this gig on Saturday!

It's a Wedding Party!!!

You know it's a good Birthday when you get so wasted that you have to leave your own Birthday party because you're too drunk to party! hahahaha Yeah, Mel's B-Day @ the Bunkhouse this past Sat. was a fucking blast! Six Shooters To The Sky killed it, Stereohigh fucking played for about an hour and a half too long, and the Vegascendents thrashed our way through an almost impressive set. New songs were played, and old songs were forgotten - it was great! LOL And Kudos! to whoever kept screaming at me to get naked... LOL It was a ruff ride for me after what I had been through at Reggae In The Desert earlier that day though. Wowsers. Drinking in the bright sunshine sure is draining!
First off, anyone who tells you that the Indians don't rule the front stage area of Reggae In The Desert is a bald faced liar! LOL It's getting so bad now that we all are starting to remember each others names. ;-) And how they're able to get full bottles of booze into the place undetected is beyond me - hahaha The searches this year were terrible - I almost didn't get all of my drugs in! LOL And, they served Guinness there this year! Woo Hoo! It was Heavenly! And the Music, oh the Music was glorious! Don Carlos was incredible, and Mykal Rose just fucking killed it, leading the crowd in a hair raising version of Natty Dreadlocks that was just awesome to see and hear. And Freddie McGregor, the King of Lover's Rock, just OWNED the place with a waaaaaay too short set of hits including Bobby Babylon, Just Don't Want To Be Lonely, Big Ship, Africa and If You Want To Go. He even did a few of his Brother Dennis Brown's songs mid-set, which was just sick as fuck. Ending the night with a couple of old school Ska songs, which had him High Steppin' and Skanking and out-dancing guys in his band who were 30 years younger than him! hahaha It was great to see. I tried to dance but my back and legs weren't having it... LOL Reggae In The Desert 2011 was the shit! Rastafari! Praise Jah! King of Kings! Lord of Lords! Lion of Judah! hahaha That was for Jeremy, because he loves that stuff. :-)
Deadhand are my new favorite band. Seriously. They're fucking incredible. <3 I saw a tiny bit of video, heard some glowing reports from a few people who's musical opinion I value, and I used to share a rehearsal space with them, so I know about what I speak of! LOL Congrats on a spectacular CD release show. I fucking wish I could of been there. :-(

Everything's updated. Butthole Surfers are coming to town. Go to the Gig Calendar page to read all about it. While uploading the videos I took this weekend, I found this S.F.T. video I never posted before, so I thought I would leave you with that. It was taken last month @ the Divebar, and I think the song is called D.U.I., but I'm not sure. Enjoy!

So much for laying around and doing nothing. Tyson reminded me that I have some video stuff to post up, so here it is. Vegascendents Punk Rock Bowling 2011. Brad shot all 4 of them, because he's cool like that, and we love him for it. <3 The first one is Hurtin' Crue, played a bit faster than usual. Stupid drummers, I swear.
And then there's Silly Girl, which everyone loves and always dances around to when it's played.
Awwwww! Isn't that the cutest thing EVER! hahaha And then there's this one, Coolidge, which everyone REALLY loves.
And here's the last one, Good Good Things, which I think you kind of gotta be a real fan of the Descendents to be into, I dunno. I don't think it's considered one of their better songs, but I love it.
And there you have it. Yeah, it was a fun gig and I can't express properly what a great night it was. People were jumping around, slamming around, singing along, just having fun and stuff, it was great to watch. And that chick that did the intro to Suburban Home was just perfect! hahahaha Again, Thanks to Brad for taping this shit. Without it, you'd be unable to see what a fun time you missed out on. :-)
