What am I doing up so early? What are you doing up so early is a better question! LOL As for me, well, I'm feeding Karla the Rabbit and watching old black and white KISS videos on YouTube, cleaning up from a much needed and well deserved few days off at Home with no drumming. I never made it to the Clawhammer gig on Friday, because my friend that I was catching a ride out to L.A. with wanted to stay out there for at least a week, going to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm and shit, and I just couldn't do it because all my band mates are insecure girls who's only outlet from the drudgery of work is band practice, and if I took that much time off from practice I'd never hear the end of it, and so I drudge forever onwards, with no one to blame for this sad sack scenario but myself. Boo fucking Hoo. I actually quit / got dropped / cut off a few bands I was in, so I'm hoping that with the free time now allotted to me I can catch up on some website stuff. Yeah right.
Well, at least one of the projects I'm involved with is finally bearing fruit. Yeah, The Civilians, with a new and improved line up ;-), announced their first gig playing with that line up as going down Oct. 27th @ Bar 702. As the Drummer in the Civilians now, I take great pride in carrying on the hallowed Drummer's tradition of not knowing anything about the gigs I'm playing or who we're playing with. Don't know, don't care. We're gonna rock some faces off and have a good time doing it. See ya there!
Everything's updated. There's a crazy heavy gig going down on Tues. @ the Dive with a bunch of bands I've never heard of, but if you got some time to kill get out to the gig. I'll be stuck at band practice, of course... heh I heard nothing but good things about that 3D6 gig that went down last Fri. @ the Dive, same with John & Jessica's After Wedding Party @ the LVCS. Congratulations to both of you on your special day. I thought Friday the 13th was supposed to be a day of bad luck, but with all the gigs and their wedding day nuptials, it's good to see that some people don't give a crap about silly things like superstition and whatnot. I posted some Pictures of King Clone playing @ the Dive a while back, and you can click here to check those out. I also posted up my Music Review on the latest from Lipstick Homicide called Out Utero (click here to read that) as well as a write up on the 2 CD farce from The Clash called The Clash Hits Back. Ugh. Click here to read that. I'm still assimilating the Sound System box set for review... that's definitely gonna take a while...
