![]() Lots of crazy things going on this week. First off is the big Icons Of Filth - Defiance - Loud Pipes show tomorrow at The Huntridge... should be totally crazy. And Mr. Keil is gracing us with his blessed presence again, having just returned from Florida, where he was taking part in some covert C.I.A. psychedelic training... real hush-hush James Bond kinda stuff. You know how it is with these secret agent guys. So if he didn't fry too many of his brain cells this past week, we might get lucky and get a good solid practice in. And I dare to dream that Keil wrote lyrics for all the songs... in between fighting off the mosquitoes of course. The recording of our grand masterpiece, Old Enough To Be Seven, Old Enough To Be Eight is continuing at a snail's pace. Just for the record I'd like to say that the drum tracks were finished a while ago, and they sound killer! Jesse and Kevin did a damn good job on the drums, which is no surprise, of course. Roxie attempted to record her bass tracks last week, but Jesse insists on recording her through some box thingy, and Kevin has yet to bring it over. Booooo. Jesse and Pitt are being Musicians and playing and re-recording and experimenting with tones and tunings and amplifiers and re-recording and AAAUUUGGGHHH!!! I don't think that they'll ever finish their tracks! But in all seriousness, I'm confident that when they're done mucking about, the gee-tars will sound awesome. I know this. The only thing I don't know is when they'll be done! Oh well. Such is the life of a Punk Rock band...
