MDC / Headnoise Doll Hut flyerFlyer by someone really imaginative
hahahahaha of all the people I never expected to see at a Headnoise gig was the ol' sour spawn of Satan himself Joe '666" Stone, but there he was with his girlfriend Ashley in tow, hanging out and making the scene like the rest of us at the Doll Hut on a chilly Friday night in So Cal. I had Bob in tow, of course, and I was hoping he wasn't going to lose my new kick pedal like he lost my last kick pedal at the Viper Room when Headnoise played there last time! LOL At least he paid me back for it though - cash too, so I gotta give him props for that. And props to Rikk Agnew for finally remembering who I am and remembering all the things we've done together! LOL Meth is a hell of a drug kids, that's all I'm saying. 😁 It was good to finally talk to him for real reals. I mean, I always say 'hi' to him whenever I see him, and he's always just gave me that head nod "hi whoever you are" look and been on his merry way (like he did the last time I saw him at The Dive Bar for the Radolescents / Civilians gig) but at this gig he came up to me as soon as Headnoise was done playing (we went on first) and was like, isn't your name Gilbert? Don't I know you? And I was like yeah, Rikk, you know me... 😂 We talked about playing gigs together, recording with each other, sharing rehearsal space together, everything. He loudly told everyone that came up to us while we were talking that he knew me for over 25 years now, and while it's actually a bit longer than that, I didn't mind the error. I was just happy to be taking to my ol' pal again. I've missed him. He's been helping out Headnoise with a bunch of stuff and promised me that we'll be playing some more gigs together in the future. Can't wait to see how THAT'S gonna turn out... ha ha ha

Couldn't tell you a thing about the rest of the gig or about any of the bands that played. Talked to Dave and Al from M.D.C. for a little bit after we played, said goodbye to Joe Stone and everyone else that was there like Pastor Rob, (missed my heterosexual life mate Jeremy who got there after I left) then literally jumped back into the ride with Bob and grabbed some coffee before making the trek back up the 15 to the Cajon Pass to be back Home by 1 in the morning to sleep in my own bed. The things I do for my friends. 😁
