Die Laughing - Process Of Elimination

Oh my gawd is this a fantastic release from Die Laughing, one of the sickest, ugliest sounding  bands that ever gigged locally here in Las Vegas. They just recently relocated to CA. but to me they're always gonna be an amazing Local band with a ferocious Punk sound. They're like an amalgamation of bands like, Antisect, Corrosion Of Conformity, Neurosis and Napalm Death all combined into one fast, furious angry bastard offspring. Equal parts Punk, Metal, Hardcore, Thrash, Noise and Grind. I've seen these guys play many, many times and they've killed it each and every time I've seen them play. This CD sounds great. It's a collection of everything the band has ever recorded, finally available on CD for the 1st time ever. Except for the new stuff recorded at Chrome Werewolf, I have all of this stuff, but I had to convert in from a cassette tape to MP3 in order to listen to it, but you won't have that problem now, will ya? Larry's voice sounds impressive, running the gamut from Demonic Soul possessor to Angry Skater Kid, all the while playing some noisy ass sludgy guitar riffs that barely keep up with what Bob on drums is playing. Bob, in case you don't know, is a head chopper behind a drum kit. You've been warned, that's all I'm saying. Jon on bass provides some thunderous bottom end to it all, as well as providing some lead vocals on some songs too. Bob sings lead vocals as well, like on their cover of Black Flag's Gimme Gimme Gimme (Hi! I'm gonna sing you a shitty cover tune!) but I can't really tell who's singing what on some songs because they all kind of sound alike when they're yelling and screaming. Doesn't detract from the songs one bit though. Shit on here is fucking impressive. Listen to some of the better songs on here like Got Answers, Death Camp, Boiling Point, Do For Me or Out Of Sight to see how kick ass Die Laughing are. All the songs are relatively short, which keeps things from getting boring, and there's a few great instrumentals on here like 702 Thrash and I'm Doomed that will have you wondering why lyrics weren't included with them, because they're just that damn good. I could of done without the Rap song at the end though, because, well, that Rap shit is just ghey... ha ha ha Go to the Die Laughing Facebook page by clicking here and get a copy of this CD immediately.
