Hmmm. Never heard of this label, and only know of a few of the bands on here. I love compilations, because they give you a chance to check out some bands you might never have had a chance to listen to. Having grown up in the midst of what could be called the best time ever for Punk Rock compilations to have existed, I take a very critical leaning towards any compilatons released today. I think I can say what a good compilation is, and I can definitely say what makes a great compilation, that's for sure. This one is mediocre. None of the bands are playing anything spectacular, nothing too memorable, and definitely nothing too good! LOL The sound quality for some of these songs definitely leaves something to be desired as well. I don't know what brought all these bands together, or what Scene they're supposedly all a part of but man, it must get pretty boring around those parts. All the bands on here sound the same, mid-paced pop punk with sing-song vocals, quirky time changes, and major aspirations of being on MTV and "making it". Yawn. I wish I could tell you where these bands copped these riffs and chords from, but I'm not that well versed on some of the more crappier new bands, sorry. I do know I've heard a lot of this before. The Disguster track is pretty good, and the Viva Hate song is OK. Los Creepers contribution to this comp is pretty rocking, but as for the rest? Phooey. I'll pass. Available from Old Shoe Records.
