Man... it was very surprising to see who came out to this show and who didn't. Whenever there are a ton of bimbos in one place, it can never be a good thing. LOL At least they were all at Skate City to see the opening band Pendleton, who played a kinda good set of some screaming Emo core with odd timings and unusual stop / starts. The music was good but the screaming was pretty harsh, and made me leave the room holding my ears. Sounded like a hamster getting raped. Sounded  much better from the outside though. 200 Scene points for Hank... Katy... Bobby... Marco... Rick... Donnie... all for making the effort to see the show, and 500 more for being that damn cool! At least Bobby didn’t have to hold up my drum set like he did the last show at the Java Joint! LOL After Pendleton, Bide was up next, and I don’t remember much about them, except that I liked them. Reminded me of someone good, but I can’t remember who...hmmmmm. Bullet Train To Vegas were up next and just shredded through a set of fucking great Noise / Pop / Punk Rock that had me standing there in amazement! How can a band be so great? Pitt asked me, and I couldn't answer him. And I still don’t have the answers. I don’t know fuck all about this band, except that they are really really really good and put on a Hell of an intense show. Despite the fact that the bass player was borrowing someone else's bass rig, Bullet Train To Vegas just totally rocked and I wish I didn’t have to miss most of their set to set up my drum kit dammit! While setting up my kit it was funny when Pitt took out Bryan by sliding down the load in ramp and knocking him over though. I’m sure the video Bryan was shooting of Bullet Train To Vegas looks great because of it. ;-) All the girls with the cool cars their parents bought for them left after Pendleton played, and by the time we got up to play a lot more people had left too, but we still ripped through a great set. Lots of fun. Jesse didn’t seem to think so, but he's a Musician, so what are you going to do, ya know? Me and Bryan both loved the fact that the people that were there last night had never seen us before... and they seemed to like us... which is just a few more steps in The Loud Pipes quest for world domination, Pinky! Heh heh heh Good gig.
