Written by GE 138. Cute little play on words there for the title of this release. ;-) My love for this band Lipstick Homicide knows no bounds. After seeing them raging full on @ Bar 702 a while back, in support of this album, playing a bunch of songs from it, like opening track This Time For Real, as well as Full Throttle and So Happy For You, well, I was immediately smitten by their sugar sweet Pop Punk sound, and I bought all that I could from them after their set was over, and this remarkable release was in that group of swag I walked off with. Out Utero perfectly captures the bands hook filled, bouncy brainwashing beat sound. These songs will get stuck in your head for days! This band has the most incredibly catchy sound I've ever heard since Green Day's 39/Smooth album. They're really that good. The sugary sweet vocals cut through the buzz saw wall of guitar sound nicely, and the drumming is tight, creative, and fast, with a good overall sound, which is important with music like this. 4/4 on the beat compliments the ferocious roar nicely and I dare you to not sing or dance around to anything on this disc. I dare you. Besides the aforementioned tracks, check out Doing Nothing, I Don't Wanna Be Here Anymore, and my favorite track on here, Like This Forever. Le swoon! I wish I knew more about this band, but I don't, but all I can tell you is that if you're a fan of the Ramones, the Queers, Teenage Bottlerocket, or whatever Pop Punk band you're infatuated with, then you will DEFINITELY love Lipstick Homicide. Seek and consume this record all at once and as fast as you can, sort of like Pixie Stix, then just sit back and enjoy the sugar rush. ;-) Available from Lipstick Homicide's Band Camp page, which you can go to by clicking here.

Written by Karl Bakla. I like this 7" because the tattooed woman that wears Social Distortion t-shirts & carries a Coach purse will hate this… you might be wondering, "Why would she hate this?" Well, it is too fucking Hardcore for her & she is a fucking Poser! I hate singling out this woman, so let us involve her boyfriend… fuck her boyfriend that looks like Jarrod (from Storage Wars). Her boyfriend, husband, whatever the fuck he is, lost his interest in Punk when Epitaph stopped making those Punk-O-Rama comps, now he dresses like he is into motor cross, but the only motoring this douche does is when he is motor-boating his cum out of his lady friends stank vagina. I fucking hate Orange County & these two fucks epitomize the people I hate from there. I just wish that the Jolly Green Giant would suffocate the majority of OC with olive green feces & drown out the survivors with tasty asparagus urine. Sorry about that rant… I got home from work two hours ago & I am already drunk. It was a long night of dealing with dick heads from Orange County. What gets me through these shifts is knowing that when I get home I can kill myself slowly with alcohol abuse & go fast Hardcore. I fucking love Hardcore music & this record is jam packed with short, fast, blasts of aggression, which is the perfect soundtrack to punching a customer in the face & running from the cops! Yeah, me too, and so do the members of Iron Reagan, an East Coast Super Group of sorts, comprised of the singer and guitar player of party monsters Municipal Waste and the rhythm section of Darkest Hour, one of the longer running, better Metal bands out there right now. They've all come together to celebrate all things Thrash, with an album comprised of 20 tracks played in about 20 minutes, with a few songs barely registering double digits in the time department. Me likey. There's some killer stuff on here. It takes a while to get used to hearing Tony Foresta screaming and carrying on about things not related to beer and weed, but once that hurdle is overcome it's all good. Opening track Drop The Gun is a hard hitting, obnoxious, gem of a tune, and sets the mood nicely for the rest of the album, which is fast and furious - full steam ahead. This record is recorded good. The guitars are crunchy and loud, the rhythm section tight as fuck. Eye Piss Tears is a great song on here, same with Slightly Out Of Focus, and Snake Chopper, Paycheck and Eat Shit And Live kick ass as well. Fuck, just check this release out. It's some really good 80's style Punk / Thrash shit that I'm sure you're gonna like. The record is available from A389 Recordings, which you can go to by clicking here, and it's also available as a digital download on the bands Band Camp page, which you can go to by clicking here. |
