This band came off a lot better live than they do on this CD. Watered down Psychoblly Rock And Roll that left me looking for something else to do besides reviewing this release from Reno, NV.'s own Cobraskulls. I guess their niche is that all their song titles have the word 'Cobra' in there somewhere, such as Cobra Skulls Lockdown, Don't Count Your Cobras Before They Hatch, and Faith Is A Cobra, etc. Cute. Yawn. This reminds me heavily of some of the newer Punk bands like Against Me!, or even Rise Against, and in no way, shape or form is that meant as a compliment. The lyrics are a bit preachy as well, covering topics like Life after Death, Conception, Religion and Ted Haggard. Google the name. And 2 of the songs on here are sung in Espanol for some reason. Maybe they're looking into that lucrative Mexican Punk Rock market? Who knows. After a few listens to this, I don't know why I even bought this. Like I said earlier, this stuff sounded better live. I've listened to it numerous times and I just can't get into it. Mid paced sloganeering put on top of some uninteresting music. Sorry Cobraskulls, I'll pass.
