Git Some
Gawd fucking damn! This CD has been stuck in my player ever since the day after I saw this band, and I thank Jeeeebus each and every day that this music is now a part of my Life. Seriously. This is easily the sickest release I've heard in years. Just fucking amazing. Words cannot do justice in trying to convey to you just what a great band Git Some are, or what a fantastic release Cosmic Rock is. Just life affirming melodic noise that shakes your soul to it's very core. The kind of music you'd put on when you want to start up a fight. Feels good like a steel toe DM to the face. Makes you wanna break stuff. Makes you glad to be alive. Equal parts Black Flag, Jesus Lizard, Black Sabbath and Motörhead, this band just slays anything and everything that stupidly gets in it's way. Heavy stuff. Comprised of a few ex-members of Planes Mistaken For Stars, Git Some have assembled a sludgy mammoth sized wall of sound that just pulverizes you into submission and forces you to move, shake, jump up and down and lose your shit to some of the best sounding music to come down the pipe in a long, long time. Music created because they had to. It comes from a dark place inside us all. Git Some just figured out how to tap into it. Music creatively used as an outlet for misspent aggression. Songs like Trixie Loves Misty, Fall From Grace, Wish Cigarette, Chainsaw Clothesline and Fabric Eyes would never be played on any radio station or video channel, and I think that's just swell. Keep it underground, where music like this belongs. Keep it scary. Keep it only known to us sewer rats. Let us worship from afar, and keep the sheeple away from this. I know I say this alot but seriously, pick up this CD and blast it at an unsafe volume. You will thank me for it later. Fucking amazing release. Available on vinyl too. Fucking Git Some! Rad! You'll thank me for it later.
