Written by GE 138. I normally don't review things that came out a few years ago, but since the band was nice enough to send me the link to this, I decided to give it a write up, and I'm glad I did, because it's pretty damn good. Yeah, No More Saints is a sticker that I've seen plastered around at various bathrooms and walls in Punk clubs here in town for a while now, but I never saw the band perform and had no idea who they were. Still don't, actually, but these 5 songs of blistering, in your face Hardcore, ala seminal bands like Battalion Of Saints or Good Riddance, make me wish I did. The overall sound of this release is loud and furious, guitars are crunchy, bass is rumbly, and the drums sound like machinery. Nice. With song titles like Hypocrisy Of Pious Men, Destroyer Of Empathy, and Melatonin Backlash (which lasts a grand total of 37 seconds), I'm going to assume that this band has a little bit more substance in their song topics than the usual beer/girls/skateboarding/beer motif offered by most Punk bands nowadays. Man, whatever these songs are about, the Singer sure sounds pissed off about whatever it is that he's yelling/screaming about. The more I listen to this, the more I like it. Good stuff from No More Saints. Check it out and see what you think of it. Highly recommended. :-)
