The press release that accompanies this fantastic release is pretentious hyperbole, like most press releases are, and is best to be avoided. I don't need it to review these girls anyways. ;-) Yes, picking up right where they left off 6 years ago with their 12 Months Of Trash release, Vegas' very own Dirty Panties have put together a superb collection of poppy, hard rocking Punk tunes that will have you bopping your head and tapping your toes to the infectious beats they're throwing down. The record sounds killer - guitars are crisp and loud, drums sound fantastic, the bass is kicking and the vocals sound excellent. The new singer is amazingly good. I'm a little put off by the fact that they included an absolutely horrible cover version of Money (That's What I Want) on here, as well as a re-re-re-recording of their Pretty In Pink song, which they keep re-doing for some reason, but whatever. At least this time they got it right. Those 2 songs, plus a couple of other clunkers, do not deter in one bit from the strength of everything else on this CD. I would of just liked to have heard more of the new, rocking stuff than a cover and an unnecessary rehash, but that's just me. Standout tracks on here include Get Off Your Ass, Confighted, the title track, InTentCity and my favorite track on here, of course, Cheers. :-) The Dirty Panties do a commendable job with their sophomore release, and I can only hope it doesn't take them another 6 years to produce just as good a follow up to this great set of songs.
