Last weekend I stayed away and I missed a bunch of shows, and this weekend I wish I would of stayed away and missed a bunch of shows! LOL I was disgusted as fuck at the Ozzy Osbourne gig on Friday, which left me with no want to see the Toasters @ the Bunkhouse afterwords, so me and my compadres from out of town went to the Beauty Bar, where I received a huge slice of chick Drama that I wanted nothing to do with, so I bid them Adieu and called it a night. The next day they told me they won $2300 shooting craps. Phooey. Sat. was all about Motörhead but gawd damn, those opening bands Valient Thorr and Clutch were just horrible! LOL Is that what's considered good nowadays? When did Saxon and Diamond Head become cool? Jeesh! LOL Motörhead did nothing to save the day with a boring, run through the numbers set of mostly new stuff, which was good, because they couldn't play the old stuff worth a shit. Embarrassing, to say the least. Man, I should of stayed at home. Thanks to Scott for the hook up on the tickets for both gigs, and for reintroducing me to Blasko, who I used to know when he played with Cryptic Slaughter back in the day. :-)
Sundays without football are going to take some getting used to. I tried to compensate for it by watching the NHL All Star game, but with the score like 194-130 in the first period, I just kind of gave up on watching it. No point really. I watch Hockey for the intensity of the game, the duel on ice, not to see a bunch of rich guys who are just out there to pad their stats and not give a fuck about winning. If I wanted to see that, I'd watch a basketball game. SNAPS! I could give a shit less who wins the Super Bowl on Sunday - I'm just hoping it's an interesting game, and praying that I don't end up passed out in the front seat of my car again drenched in my own vomit... heh heh heh An ex-girlfriend of mine called me yesterday and told me in a very dramatic tone that she was leaving town soon. She's moving up north to get married and become a breeder. I haven't seen her in years, and I told her that, and then after a bit of chit chat I asked her why she felt so compelled to tell me that she was leaving town, and of course she couldn't give me a reason, and it got me to thinking - are these girls crazy BEFORE they're with me, or is it being with me that makes them crazy? hahahaha Oh well. I wished her the best and that was that. Funny how shit works out. People that you think are 'The One' that turn out not to be, leaving you back at Ground Zero where the search begins again. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about, don't ya? If you don't, it must be nice. Fuck off. Everything's updated, yada yada yada. I found my Xbox finally, so I'm off to try and finish Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, since none of my fellow gamer Nephews can help me with it... Losers! hahaahaha

Hahahahahahahaha So Feelgood's is now known as Vamp'd? WTF? So now I guess it's only owned by Count Cool Rider? Spoooooooky! I guess Vince Neil needed to free up some cash to take care of his loss of income during his upcoming jail stint? hee hee hee How does that jackass get away with what he does? Incredible, to say the least. Anyways, at Vamp'd there's lots of Punk and Metal gigs now lined up, which is always the sign of a club hitting hard times. I think the same thing is happening @ The Black Door, Dave Navarro's bad idea directly next to the Double Down. When those type of bands are allowed in a venue, things are not going good. :-) Anyways, Feelgood's is now Vamp'd. Who knows what The Black Door is going to end up being called. Maybe the Coke Store? ;-) I think this is the last of the video footage from the Aluminum Falcon gig on the 16th @ the LVCS. It's for the last song we played called Battlelines. Special Thanks to N.J. Pete for filming it. So who's going to the Big 4 concert in Indio, CA.? Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax? If you are I'd like to slap you in the face. Big Raul, I'm looking in your direction. ;-) Hahahaha I saw that same line up back in what, 1991, at Irvine Meadows. Alice In Chains opened. Wasn't that good then, I doubt it will be that good 20 years later. And speaking of 20 years later, Guns And Roses will be eligible for the Rock And Roll Crock of Shame next year. Man I feel old.
Lots and lots of shit going on this weekend, of course, like the Toasters gig @ the Bunkhouse, the almighty Motörhead @ the HOB, TheCore and I Am The Thief @ Meatheads, Three Rounds @ LVCS, and some other gigs I'm totally not remembering right now. It's all on the Gig Calendar. Look it up yourself ya lazy bastards. I'm getting ready for the Sharks / Kings game tonight, so things are a bit fuzzy green right now, but I'm taking all bets and collecting all debts from all you suckaaaaah Kings fans! Your 2 game winning streak ends tonight! hahahaha Everything is updated - old stuff just keeps getting added, and new stuff just keeps getting ignored. In other words, everything is normal around these parts. Strange, right? See you at the gigs! How do you know when you had an epic weekend of drunken debauchery? When you wake up in the front seat of your car soaked in your own vomit! hahahahaha Oh man did I have such fun this weekend. Missed the State Streets @ Boomers, missed Social Distortion @ the HOB, missed Unfair Fight @ LVCS, and even missed the Wailers @ the HOB on Sunday, all events I was planning on going to, but the bottle was a calling my name, and I answered that call each and every time I heard it! LOL I saw the football games this weekend, and I don't know how Chicago choked as badly as they did, but it was sad to see. I'm glad the Jets lost, because their Coach is just the personification of a stereotypical pompous know it all sports fan jerk. Now that his team is out of it, he can go back to making foot fetish videos with his wife... hahaha I went to another Wranglers game, thanks in part to my heterosexual life mate Jeremy, which was in-part an Aluminum Falcon band meeting, where we ironed out some issues and cleared the air about things coming up and going on. I'm glad we did. Time to start playing more gigs, both here and in other states, and no, we're not gonna call our little weekend jaunts a Tour, like most of you gay bands here in Vegas do. So, so lame when bands do that. Just stop it already - UGH!!
Speaking of things coming up, I fucking WISH I could tell you about all the awesome things I've heard about some incredible gigs coming up, and about what I know is a fact about Punk Rock Bowling, but I can't. Not yet anyways... heh heh heh You people are going to lose your shit - trust me. :-) I know there was something else I wanted to tease on here, but damned if I can remember any of it right now. Tonight is that Give / Devotion / Ruined Tongue gig, which is supposed to be pretty good, but I'm not gonna be there. I would go but unfortunately, I'm gonna be cleaning up the puke I sprayed all over the inside of my car. How did vomit end up in my wallet?? LOL YES! Had a great time @ the LVCS last night opening up for the Cobra Skulls, who are some really nice guys to hang with. Good to see so many people I haven't seen in a while too in attendance. Playing Aluminum Falcon songs was a lot more easier without a damn Star Wars costume on, that's for sure, and the lies / words of praise everyone gave me about the music were all very appreciated. Mucho Thanx! For those of you who missed it, here's the first 2 songs we played - Go! and Alone. I have no idea who shot the video, but Thank You for doing so. And another song called Freedomland... And here's some more footage of us doing a song called Darling Runaway and Coolidge by the Descendents. Tyson keeps posting them, so I'll keep on sharing them! ;-) Not bad for only our 2nd gig! LOL N.J. Pete shot a video with his iPhone of our last song, Battle Lines, but he sent it to me in a text message, so I couldn't post it on here unfortunately. Maybe later? Who knows. Like I said, it was a great time. Sucks for you if you weren't there. The Happy Campers were pretty good, and the Cobra Skulls rocked everyone in the place. If it wasn't for those attention starved whores riding the mechanical bull after the gig was over, it might of been an amazing night! ;-) Yeah, the end of the night was a bit of a let down, wasn't it boys?
Yeah, there's all sorts of crazy gigs coming up this week, starting off with Madball @ Area 702, Social Distortion like, all weekend at the HOB, RX Bandits, Weezer, Unfair Fight, the Mapes, Caravels, Hell, the Wailers are even playing on Sunday, so if you're feeling Irie, you can get your Reggae on!! Just get off your ass and go see some bands! Updates? What's that? LOL
Yeah, I've been slacking on the website as of late, but I have a really good reason as to why that is. It's called Life! Moving into a new house has me all different kinds of ways occupied, and with band practice and unpacking stuff, I just don't have the time. Even now I sit in the midst of a chaotic front room, waiting for the electrician to come, and hating that I got a garage full of stuff that needs to be put away. I only came on here to update the website by saying that I don't have anything to update on here, and to share with you a story which gives me affirmation on the Future for Rock and Roll. I was heading off to the Hotel Amoroso last Sunday for some Booze, Food, Booze, Football, and more Booze, and as I was pulling out of the driveway I saw this kid stumbling down the sidewalk. He couldn't of been more than 15, 16, and he looked like he weighed 90 pounds on his best day. He looked to be really hung over, or still drunk, with that look on his face that says, 'WTF happened last night?', a look and a feeling that I am very, very familiar with. I watched him for a bit, reminiscing on my high school days when I would do the same thing, doing that walk of shame that both stupefies and exhilarates. So how does seeing this kid give me hope for the Future of Rock and Roll, you ask? Well, it was because he was dressed up as Hank from Turbonegro. I shit you not. Denim jeans, jacket, no shirt, the Alice Cooper makeup, and a top hat, stumbling down that sidewalk like dressing like that was the normal thing to do. It was an awesome sight, and I wish I would of got a picture of the kid, but I didn't have a camera handy, and traffic was creeping up behind me, so I had to go. Seeing him gave me Hope for the Kids, that a few of them actually get it, embrace it, and love it. Kudos to you little drunk Punk kid. I'd rather see a bunch of Turbonegro clones waking the streets than a bunch of idiotic Wattie from the Exploited clones, that's for sure. |
