Come out and show your love for The Loud Pipes and for Dirty Records - Devon is a great guy and deserves all your support!

Fucking Hell! What a bad past few weeks I've been having! Not only on the home front (especially on the home front!), but also with my damn web site! You see, it's very hard to update your web site when you wake up one day and your computer tells you that it's unable to find an operating system. Now I have some educated guesses as to how this happened (Fuck you Spune), but it doesn't change the fact that I was majorly fucked and couldn't do a damn thing about it! Boooooooo. But Miss Roxie fixed my computer one night in a flurry of Newcastle's and Mint & Chip ice cream, and I decided to update it by installing Windows XP on it... which is taking some MAJOR getting used to. Special thanx to Jonathan for hooking me up with the Windows XP. He’s this really cool kid that I met many many moons ago when he was just a little nerd... and now he’s this video game nut who builds his own computers! Except for being really taller, he’s still the same, and he challenges all you Quake players out there to battle. He says he’ll slaughter any who dare face him... hahaha So since I lost everything from my old web site, I had to completely build it from scratch, which sucks big time. And on the band front, the release this Friday of The Dirty Ones CD Compilation is finally here! Woo Hoo! The first 2 songs on the compilation are from us (Wild Nights & Out Of Time) and Roxie tells me that they sound AWESOME!!! This is where the fun begins. With these recordings, and the ones we're still working on, we're gonna be playing all sorts of places we haven't played before, like the House Of Blues and maybe even the Joint! I suppose we could of used our friendships and connections to weasel our way onto a bill, but it's much more satisfying to do it on your own, which is something The Loud Pipes are all about. D.I.Y. doood! So hopefully we'll see you all at the gig on Friday, and please bear with me, as it will take some time to get everything back up on the web site. But I promise not to be down as long as Airbag used to be!
Well, a few updates to the site to mention... the most important being the Pictures that Jenn took of us at the Red White N Boom show... I think they came out pretty damn good myself! And I believe that she captured on film the only known proof that Roxie was actually there! If you look real hard you can see her to the right of the drum kit... heh heh. Yup. Bryan told me we finished 3 songs last week... Insurrection (with new words!), The Way and Wild Nights I believe... and that he’s getting married this Tuesday to some girl he’s been chatting with on line! Uh huh. Yeah. Whatever. I missed out on free Slurpees on Friday... boooooo! And Pitt looks like a dork in shorts and low cut shoes. Tell your Daddy to buy you some pants dude! Tony from The Top Fuel Café posted on The Loud Pipes message board a nice apology / explanation, and I’m not sure what happened with the whole Skratch Magazine thing... looking forward to the show with the Nekromantix on the 20th at the Huntridge... you all better be there! Even you Rick, you fucking jinx you! LOL
OK... once again, The Loud Pipes have a bit of free time on their hands, and I can only hope that something beautiful will come out of it! I know that I have tons of stuff to deal with on the home front, and the stuff on the band front is sooooo close to being done that it’s sickening just waiting! In case you didn’t notice on your way in here, we’re gonna be playing a CD Release show on Aug. 1st... let's just hope we finish our songs by then!
I don’t wanna Holiday In The Sun... well actually I do, if they could all be as fun as yesterday was at Desert Breeze Red White N Boom! Free food... tons of Red Bulls... booze everywhere for the taking... fireworks... yup... sure was a good way to spend the 4th of July. Met Hank’s brother Donnie, who took some amazing pictures of us (www.piratemate.com/loudpipes/). Hard to believe he’s related to Hank though, damn. I think it’s safe to say that we all had a good time, and phooey to anyone that didn’t! That Skater / BMX brawl was total bullshit, and the stuff with the cops after the Vandals got the plug pulled was a joke too... fucking cops got nothing better to do than mace a bunch of kids? Guess not. The Vandals sucked and were nothing to start a riot over... but they do have an AMAZING drummer! lol My computer totally crashed after I let some dickhead use it, and I had to break out the trusty ol' reliable lap top just to get the site updated with the Show Reviews. We got some $$$ to invest in some merch... look out for Loud Pipes underwear coming soon... tighty whiteys for the boys, thong panties for the girls. Uhhh, the recording is coming along slowly but surely... Bryan now wants to re-do ALL of his vocals with a new mic, but he did write some sick new words to Insurrection, so… I guess we'll give it a go and see if we can get more than 1 1/2 songs out of him this week. Hope to see everyone at the Bullet Train To Vegas show on Tuesday! And check out the message board and the gig listings... we got some GREAT shows coming up!
