First off, thanks to everyone that has responded to my mailing list. You people rock and it's nice to know that you actually read the stuff that I write about. It's not much, but it is just one side of the Las Vegas Music Scene. Second off, this thing that's going on with the whole indecency issue is getting really scary. If you'd like to know what the hell I'm talking about, just click on the Howard Stern Link I posted to the left here. Even though it's not a Howard Stern issue per say, it's really scary to see how the Government and Big Business and the Religious Right all fuck each other in the ass on a regular basis. Very incestuous indeed. And I'm glad to hear that things went well at that Infested house party. Those guys are cool and I'm glad that all the bands got to play before the cops showed up. And what was with all The Loud Pipes paraphernalia at the Extreme Thing this past Saturday ? I had friends both here and from out of town tell me that all they saw was Loud Pipes patches and pins and shirts on almost everyone there. My pal Jimmy from the planet Uranus told me "I didn't think you guys were that popular!". See butt munch, I told you! LOL Anyways, I posted a Review of the Sin City Ghouls - The Dirty Babies show @ The Cooler Lounge, I updated the Gigs page, and if I feel like it after The Sopranos and Deadwood, I might re-post some of the old Pictures I had up before, but we'll see... we'll see.

Yaaay ! In case you hadn't noticed, there's a new look to the web site. I like the new new logo... it looks like a neon surfboard or something... heh heh heh. It's totally metro-sexual looking and I like it. And the reason why I re-did the web site was because my computer crashed on Monday, which by itself wasn't a bad thing, especially if you consider the fact that it's been running non-stop since last October and with all the stuff I download and the constant scans and defrags, well, I'm surprised it lasted this long ! lol So it'll take awhile for me to get all the stuff back up, but since we're in the midst of finishing up our 7", and our next show is in a week, I don't think it'll be a problem. So after practice Roxie finished her bass tracks and Pitt did some rhythm tracks, all in the middle of monstrous games of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Pac Man and Zelda of course. The music we recorded sounds great... one song is waaaay too fast, and one is much slower than we usually play it. One song is brutal and one song is just the beginning, and one song we may not even use. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what songs are what, but I'll give you this clue - None of the songs are on the LP-EP CD. Those of you who know our stuff should have no problem figuring it out. Yeah, uhhhmmm... things are good... hopefully they are with you too!
Making videos is FUN !!! It seems all you have to do is drink massive amounts of alcohol and act all rocking (and mean) in front of the camera! Although it hasn't been that easy, it's still been most excellent, thanks to Jesse The Super Videographer. After the night's festivities @ The New York Cafe (click here to read all about it), we all ended up at The Club House to celebrate the 1 year Anniversary of it's existence! Woo Hoo! One year's worth of merriment, and plenty more to come. Thanks to The Pervz and the Sin City Ghouls and everyone else that came out and drank with us until 6 in the morning and saw all the weird things happening above The Luxor. Sorry to everyone that came out to The Sultan's Table to see us play on Thursday, but the Man shut that place down while we were loading up our gear into the place. The all ages venue was changed into 21 and over, and since we don't play bars, we said phooey and left. We went back to the Club House to film the video for Insurrection and drank ourselves silly and called it a morning. We're already in the planning stages for a HUGE desert show, with some amazing bands, so keep your eyes and ears peeled to get all the details. We're not gonna be playing anytime soon here in Las Vegas, but you're all more than welcome to come out and see us anywhere else we play. Just don't be like Hollywood Shane and get lost... Hugs and Kisses to Jesse and Bob for making the video shoot to be so much fun, and for being the great pals that they are. The fun continues once we get to AZ. on April 2 & 3...then it's all about Roller Derby and Skateboards, and the girls that love them both. I've been messing around with the web site... posting Pictures... a Review of the new Descendents CD... and just waiting for my car and my camera to get fixed. Once that happens I'll be out and about again! What a deal.
Booooooooo... nothing much going on in this neck of the woods... I sit at home drinking waaay too much and chatting on-line while the real musicians of the band are gonna be tracking their stuff this week at the Club House. I left my damn Game Cube down there and dammit... I WANT IT BACK!!! heh heh heh If and when we practice this week I'm gonna grab it up quick, since I have much more work to do on my Zelda game. Our show this Thursday is gonna kick some major ass... not only 'cuz we're playing with The Pervz, but more because of the video shoot. It's been a while since I've had anything to do with a video shoot (1990-what?), and I'm curious to see how Jesse The Super Roadie handles the situation. If he's as good a Director as he is a Roadie, then this shit will be AWESOME!!! So come out to the show (Patrick, screw your crappy metal-core band practice! lol) and go crazy for the whole world to see...

It was a sad way to get together, but it was sure a great time @ The Double Down last Thursday, and I'm sure that Charlotte was there with us laughing her ass off in that high pitched voice of hers at how silly and drunk everyone was that night. We raised a lot of beer bottles and quite a good chunk of change for the Street Teens foundation, and if even a dollar of that money helps to keep kids from dying waaaay too young like Charlotte did, well then it was all worth it. Thanx to everyone for hanging around to check us out, and hugs and kisses to everyone that came up to talk to us afterwords and to all our pals that we were hanging around with. You people are the best. You can click here to read all about the night's festivities, and check out the pix that Hank took with his new camera! Woo Hoo! So now that the drum tracks are done, hopefully we can keep Roxie away from the pharmaceuticals and Pitt from backing into unmoving objects long enough to get their tracks done so we can finish this 7" and release it on the world A.S.A.P.! Jesse The Super Roadie says the equipment is ready for the show on the 18th, so come on out and show some love for The Loud Pipes, and be a part of the video for Insurrection... someday when you're older you can watch it and remember the good time you had at our show, and hopefully everyone that is there will still be alive to appreciate the memory of it as well. Don't it always seem to go... that you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone? Truer words never spoken... Not a lot to report... just drinking too much and trying to keep myself occupied. We have a show tonight @ The Double Down with our pals 1/2 Ast for our good friend Charlotte who just recently passed away, so I encourage you all to come out early (the show starts promptly at 9) and donate a little something to the Street Teens Foundation in her memory. On a more lighter note, we're also playing next Thursday the 18th at the Sultan's Table with our friends The Pervz, (recent winners of the L.V. Weekly's Best Local Band contest... hope it does them as much good as it did us! lol) and we're gonna be filming the gig to be used in our upcoming video for Insurrection, so get your ass on down to be a part of the madness happening that night. We also got some dates coming up in AZ. in April, but I'll let you know about those when I get more info on them. I just finished tracking the songs we're gonna use for our upcoming 7", and believe me when I say that they're GREAT! Trust me... these 3 songs are gonna sound KILLER! I'd tell you the track listing, but I don't wanna ruin the surprise. But Hollywood Shane (who's in town ladies, so now's your chance to hook up with him!) was the first person outside of the band to hear the new songs, and he likes them, so that's all that matters. The Smash Magazine Interview we did is generating some good reviews, and the City Life gave tonight's show a quick write up... but why on Earth are they still calling us a Biker Metal Band? Can someone please explain that to me? Maybe it would help if SOMEONE from that paper actually came out to see our shows... maybe then they could come up with a better adjective than "Biker Metal". Oh yeah... I threw some reviews up of the latest stuff from Jane's Addiction, Descendents and Probot... click on the Reviews link to check them out. Hope you can all make it to the show tonight.
