Dance Of The Dead - Corrosion Of Conformity

So they buried Arthur “Killer” Kane on Saturday, and bands like The Killers still live. Does anyone see the irony ? lol The New York Dolls represented freedom and going against the norm of what’s expected of a band, and The Killers do exactly what they’re told and do exactly what’s expected of them, because they’re more image than substance, and they want oh so badly to make it. Fuck. That’s what’s wrong with the music scene in general today. Too many bands willing to compromise whatever integrity they may have in order to get the bitches and the bling bling. When you see a band like the Circle Jerks doing an ad for Vans, you can go well, they deserve it, and they’ve paid their dues. But when bands today try to peddle their one hit song to every commercial and movie soundtrack and video game, it’s enough to make you sick. Oh well. I try not to think about it too much, otherwise I get pissed off, and I don’t wanna do that. So anyways, I know for sure that The Loud Pipes are not playing this Sat., but we will be doing the show sometime in early Aug., so better late than never. I posted the latest Tour Diary entry (The Seattle gig, where Hank was caught jacking off in the van) and you can click here to read all about it. I’m so glad that Howard Stern is back live on the air, and I’ve been spending a lot of my time hanging out on his bulletin board. It’s addicting, I tell ya. So yeah... I’ve been spending my time talking to this totally hott goth girl, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things work out between us. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that the Touring offer I got from The Dirty Babies works out as well. All I ask guys is a van to sleep in, some tacos to eat and a nice supply of weed and alcohol, and I’ll tour with ya wherever ya want to go! lol Not much of anything else going on band wise, so someone write to me and keep me entertained!

Hee hee hee... I'm glad that everyone got sick at the Warped Tour... I'm glad that nobody I've talked to had a good time, and I hope that you remember all this when the next one rolls around. From people that went, to people that played, everybody said it sucked wet monkey balls, and I hope you all learned your lesson. Just like the latter day Lollapalooza's sucked, so too do the Warped Tours... such a farce. Shitty bands... shitty place to see a show... just shitty period. Suckers. So we're practicing this week to get ready for our shows with the almighty 1/2 Ast this weekend in AZ. (Friday @ The Rogue in Tempe and Saturday @ The Surly Wench in Tucson) and we also have a gig lined up in CA. the week afterwords (in beautiful downtown Bakersfield). Hopefully we don't get as fucked up as we did the last time we played Tucson (with By Death's Design, whom we haven't heard from since... LOL), but with 1/2 Ast with us, it's definitely a possibility. They don't hold the title of #1 Party Band In Las Vegas for nothing, ya know? So that's gonna be fun.

It's the 4th of July and I'm remembering where I was last year at this time. I had purple hair, and we were gonna play the Red White & Boom thing with the Vandals & MC Hammer. Bryan Novello was our singer, and I remember that Pulsar was there cheering us on. We were in the background playing when Channel 3 News did a live report from the show at noon (and we never got the tape from them, the fucking assholes) and Hanks brother Donnie took some amazing pictures of us. It seems so long ago, but it really wasn't. It's just that we've done so much since then. We did a Tour... released an EP... played some amazing shows and had some great times along the way. The reason for all this nostalgia? I guess I'm looking ahead to where I'm gonna be in a year or so. Probably right behind the computer like I am now. So yeah... we're not playing Marco's No Hope For The Kids show at Balcony Lights because Frank is a joto, but rumor has it that it may be happening somewhere else, so keep your ears peeled. I have no idea of whats going on with the Partisans show, so please stop asking me about it. And I also heard through the grapevine that we're playing a house party sometime soon, but once again it could just be a sick rumor. The only thing I do know for sure is that we're going to AZ. next weekend for our big interview with Razorcake Magazine, so that should be fun. Jesse The Super Moved Roadie tells me that our friends in the Half Empties wanna show us their appreciation for going out on the road with them, and we're gonna throw a big ass party at The Rogue when we play there, so if you're in the area you should definitely stop by. We're gonna be staying in Jesse The Super Roadies now empty apt., so expect the debauchery levels to be running high. Hopefully Jesse didn't pack his samurai sword away, so we can chop up some stuff in the neighborhood. The next Tour Diary entry is up, and you can go here to check that out, and I also posted some pictures of the Smut Peddlers that I took in S.F., and you can go here to check that shit out. I updated the Table Of Contents, and adjusted the layout on some of the pages that didn't look right when I did my recent revisions to the web sites appearance. So anyways, Happy 4th of July... go flash fry a cow injected with cheese, and use the Foreigner belt wisely... or else The Mooninites will come down and get you... heh heh heh. I'm gonna get TORE UP!!
