Buried Treasure - Das Klown

I don't care about that chick and the lawsuit against the dooshbag that partly owns the Beauty Bar. She threw out her integrity pretty quick and collapsed faster than a greasy old folding chair. Whatever. I hope she enjoys the Prius she's going to buy with her payoff.

I don't care about the Henry Rollins article about Vegas being out of ideas. Where is he wrong with that statement? Why were all the Dipsters in an uproar about it? When's the last time YOU went to the Strip by choice, and not because your relatives were in town visiting? It's horrible what passes itself off as 'entertainment' down there, and your precious Downtown music scene isn't much better. Yup.

Besides all my BS with my foot, I'm mainly only caring about these Vegascendents gigs going down this weekend in AZ. We're playing both gigs with New Cold War, which just makes things extra fun. I wonder who's going to be on drums? ;-) Fri.'s gig is also with Surrounded By Thieves, who have a record release party going down next month at the Double Clown, and Tiki Bandits, which is Frank Voodoo's new side project. All this fun is going down @ McKee's Pub in Lake Havasu City. Click here for the Facebook event page. Sat. we're heading south east to Tempe to play a gig with The People's Whiskey, The Early Grabs, New Cold War (again) and the band with the coolest name on the flyer: Phoenix Hooker Cops, at the Yucca Tap Room. w00t w00t!! Tempe has always been a fun time and I'm sure this outing will be no different. ;-) It's always fun playing with a hangover, right? Right! And that's pretty much my weekend in a nutshell. The Loud Pipes aren't playing that gig on Sunday with the Zig Zags, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't be there to check them out. I hear that they're pretty good. Oh - don't forget about that War Called Home / Happy Campers / Los Carajos gig @ the Double Clown on Fri., or that Rikk Agnew Band / IDFI / Lambs To Lions / The Psyatics gig on Saturday @ the Triple B - now THAT'S gonna be a fun gig for sure!
