 It was while watching Coach Carroll running onto the field with less than 2 minutes left in the Raiders - Seahawks game that I realized the threat this year was real. Coach Carroll was irate and losing his mind and acting like it was a Super Bowl championship game on the line, instead of the preseason tune up that it was, trying to run a weak ass 2 minute drill that the Raiders were disrupting easily and at will. He was trying a bit too hard to salvage a win, and I don't blame him. Oakland had just embarrassed the fuck out of the defending Super Bowl champs the entire game, with the final score being 41-31, and for a team that had only lost 1 preseason game in the last 3 years, the Seattle Coach wasn't very happy with it. The score wasn't indicative as to how bad of a blowout it was, with Derek Carr putting on an damn impressive statement as to why he should be starting QB this year. I was loving every minute of it, and it took a lot to tear me away from the Simpsons marathon still going on. How wonderful is that thing? Seriously? The FXX network just announced that they're scheduling 24 hours a week of Simpsons episodes to be broadcast. Bliss and Heaven, oh my Brothers. <3  And what does all this have to do with Punk Rock, you ask? The answer is, absolutely nothing. If you're looking for some Punk Rock, head off to the Dive tonight to catch the 2nd day of Toccipalooza, with some amazeballz Local bands like The People's Whiskey, Battle Born, and New Cold War. It's a drive to help out school kids, so bring as many school supplies as you can. There's also the Crazy Chief cassette release party going down at the new and definitely not improved Bunkhouse Saloon tonight, so pick and choose accordingly. Tomorrow night it's all about that Requiem gig @ the Dive, or you could go see the Divebombers tear shit up @ the Double Clown. It's Labor Day weekend, and normally I'd be heading off back Home to Pow Wow like I always do, but instead, I decided to get a new camera to replace the one I lost / had stolen from me in AZ. As much as I'd like to be there, I'd rather use the money I would spend on the trip to get a new camera. No GoFundMe, Indiegogo, or Kickstarter needed. Pay for your own shit, ya bums!! ;-) Everything's updated. New stuff added but I forget what it is. I'm missing out on the Simpsons, dammit!! Have a great weekend everyone.
