In case you didn't already hear about it, tonight's Bane show @ the Sanctuary has been cancelled. Apparently the venue pulled the plug on the thing. Full refunds are available from everyone who sold you the tickets. Go see the Dirty Panties @ the Double Clown instead. Waaaaayyy better gig anyways. :-)
This story is funny if taken into context, like a comedy script. If taken as a serious piece of journalism, it's complete and utter shite. The Scene is just fine, Thank You, but not that you would know anything about it though. Go hype up some downtown Beard Core shit. Isn't there another EDM festival coming into town? Yeah, stick with what you know. Everyone's got Questions, a few have the Answer, but it's pointless because no one would support it anyways. Such is the Nature of the Beast. Love the band name Crazy Chief though. ;-) The Huntridge Theater is becoming a second hand store. Deal with it. Everyone who told you it wasn't going to happened lied to you. Better that than nothing, right? Bob's pictures of I.D.F.I. playing @ Money Plays are posted up right here. I'm going back to bed. ;-)

personally i am happy that she got the go-ahead for her thrift store. i imagine she has plans for an expensive vintage boutique but thats the big thing now according to all my cable tv stations. fuck it! i'd rather see it restored as a tribute to my cherished memories than decay into nothing and unltimately be demolished [because that was the alternative]. we all knew it would never be a venue again. she saved the huntridge the only way she could. it's more than anyone else did [make a facebook page?], so deal with it.

No, that was the problem, because not everyone knew that it wouldn't be a venue again. Some fools out there clung to this idiotic notion that the Huntridge would be restored to it's early 90's prominent position as a viable option for bands to play, and some of them even went as far as to collect money to help make that dream a reality (coughcoughSoKalStudioscoughcough). Personally I don't give a fuck because Vegas tears down it's History all the time, and things that are way more valuable and way more important to the preservation of all that History have fallen before them - Moulin Rouge anyone? Yeah. The Huntridge is no different and no more special. Go big or go home.
