My Problem Is... - Attitude Adjustment

Is it safe to come out yet?? Is the Farce over yet?

Is it too soon to declare that Rock In Rio shit an epic fail yet? Are the Kool-Aid drinkers going to give it a positive spin like they do with their  failing Downtown Zappos Llama cult BS?

"The singer from Sepultura was wearing a Double Clown tee shirt" - WHO FUCKING CARES?? I see people sporting that shit and it just gives me a heads up on how clueless that person is. I don't get it. Is it cool because that guy knows about that place, or is it cool because that place is being represented at the
Rock In Rio thing? Meh. Doesn't matter. It sucked for a multitude of reasons, most of which were the bands playing. Plus parking was pretty much nonexistent, but it didn't matter, because nobody was there. Ticket sales were lackluster at best, and every write up I came across hardly mentioned anything about the bands playing, but man, did they all rave and drool over that stupid zip line thing they had there... which is a great angle to take on a story about a supposedly historical international music festival. It was funny to hear Metallica blowing the place up until 2 in the morning though... heh heh Comps were available everywhere, but if you went to that shit, you're a fool. If you paid to get into that shit than you're an even bigger fool than I thought.

Mother's Day, ugh. Less said the better. Must be nice...
Everything is updated, although I don't know why. I'm so behind on everything website related it's not even funny. Lots of cool, interesting gigs coming up this week... go to the Gig Calendar page by clicking here... get off your ass and check some of them out!
D.O.A. flyer
So Hey! How was that "off the chain" D.O.A. gig @ the Dive on Sat. night / Sun. morning? Did the multitude of Vegas Punx come forth and pay tribute to one of the Legends of the Punk Rock music world who were playing right here in their back yard? Were lots of selfies taken with Joey Shithead and posted on Facebook to show the rest of us just how radically cool and Punk Rock you are because you took a picture with someone "famous"? Oh, what? You didn't go? Neither did I, but don't feel too bad, because nobody did really. Le sigh. I guess when you start a gig @ 11 pm, and you have 6 Local bands opening up the damn thing, which is seriously 3 too many, well, you do the math - half hour sets, a laughable thought of 15 minutes in between bands for tear down / set up, and you're looking at D.O.A. not going onstage to play until around hopefully 3 in the morning, which is a bit ridiculous, no? And probably the fact that it was Mother's Day didn't help, but none of those reasons kept me away from the gig - my sole reason for not going was because of that one band, the band that is not listed on the flyer, the band who weaseled their way onto an already over-booked gig, the reason I didn't go was because they were on the bill and I won't have anything to do with any gig they play. Simple, although the point was moot since that band cancelled just days before, along with the always cancelling Brutal Resistance. I guess the Dive isn't East Vegas house party style enough for them to play there... LOL Anyways, no skin off my nose, since I didn't go, and I'm sure all the bands that did play were most excellent, right? Right! Zack Attack said D.O.A. killed it and I believe him. :-)
