I dunno why everyone is acting like Joe Strummer died or something. It was Tony Sly from No Use For A Name, a mediocre band on their best day. I interviewed him once back when they were supporting More Betterness!, and the guy was a prick and he got butt hurt when I told him that their Pogues cover sucked. It was cool, because he was drunk off his ass and trying to act like a Cockstar, but I wasn't impressed - not then, not now. I guess he thought being in a band made him Special or Different than everybody else. Whatever. I hate to speak ill of the dead, but again, I don't get it. Is it a Beardcore thing? Did we lose the Soul of a Poet? I think not. Speaking of Death, here's the new Green Day video. I wish I knew what happened to these guys. OK, it's 99 cent chicken taco day @ Roberto's so I'm gonna go get my grub on before I head out for today's festivities. I just added the last of my nephew Tony's photographic debut work, this time of the band Random Orbits, and you can click here to check those out. Hopefully he shoots some more for the website real, real soon. Oh, and I also posted a Music Review I did for that latest album from The Cult called Choice Of Weapon and you can go here to read it. There - are you happy MF? hahaha

I couldn't agree with you more! Totally mediocre (at best) band, and singer. People are acting like its Ian Mackaye or something! Even though I'm not a fan of his or his band, my first thought after reading the news was, gee, why couldn't it have been Jack White.

Oh gawd, I can only imagine how people are going to carry on when somebody of merit like Ian MacKaye or Henry Rollins passes away instead of just some dude named Tony Sly. And when Jack White dies, the dooshbag Hipster suicide rate will go through the roof! I can't wait!! ;-)
